Yes, we know all about how emotional and hard it can be! All the pros and cons, all about missing Aunty Flo's and wtf cycles with no ovulation, all about children being cute and pointy. Evening ladies Wink Thank you so much for letting me vent. I needed that Thanks Monday has gone by in a flash as I've been busy hosting friends so another day gone by ?? Tomorrow is another busy day so this week should speed up! FX Wink

peardrop2 · 25/05/2015 18:41

Oooooo Ava. That's torture for you Shock

peardrop2 · 25/05/2015 18:52

Ava - I am keeping everything crossed that AF stays away!!! Shoo shoo AF!!! Confused

AvaAmulet · 25/05/2015 19:03

Haha! I know, Pear, as if the 2ww isn't bad enough as it is - if I felt pg at all I'd be quite excited, but I absolutely don't, just a little tired but aren't we all?!Confused tomorrow is the latest AF can arrive and be a 'normal' cycle for me - any later and I may need to buy more tests....Shock

Hope the rest of your 2ww flies by Wink

AvaAmulet · 25/05/2015 19:49

Man alive, I'm tired! Sure it's just because we were up super early and had a busy day though ... absolutely not symptom spotting (yawn) Shock

Mumof1sofar · 25/05/2015 20:05

I've got everything crossed for you Ava Smile

AvaAmulet · 25/05/2015 20:28

Aww thanks, Mumo! I can't believe I'm in bed already! If AF arrives now you'll all be thinking I'm a really lazy mare Blush haha Smile

peardrop2 · 25/05/2015 20:31

Ahhhh Ava I soooo know what you mean. I too could not feel less pregnant! I'm pretty sure that last time I was on the 2ww many years a go I didn't have any energy what so ever let alone cook for a family of 4 not including my 3!

MarysPrayer · 25/05/2015 20:33

Fx for you both Ava and Pear. It's all sounding good. Smile

peardrop2 · 25/05/2015 20:38

Mary did you feel pregnant on your 2ww?

MarysPrayer · 25/05/2015 20:43

Not really, no pear. I had cramps and felt irritable, just like AF was on the way. The only slight change came at around 12dpo, when I had excessive thirst, a dry mouth and nasal congestion at night time.

MarysPrayer · 25/05/2015 20:44

Also, tiredness is a way of life for me so I wouldn't have notice that one Grin

peardrop2 · 25/05/2015 20:49

Thanks Mary. When did the cramps start out of interest? Cramping started with me at 12dpo with ds but u can't remember much feeling before that apart from feeling burpy.

MarysPrayer · 25/05/2015 20:53

11dpo. Although I don't temp so all these dpos are approximate (based on ic opks))

peardrop2 · 25/05/2015 20:58

I still have hope then Wink

MarysPrayer · 25/05/2015 21:03

Definitely Pear. Everyone is different. With dd I had no symptoms at all until a few days after the bfp. Then I had acute, severe and very worrying cramps one evening. Everything was fine though, obviously.

peardrop2 · 25/05/2015 21:08

Thanks Mary Thanks It helps me to relax hearing these stories ??

Trinpy · 25/05/2015 21:42

Fx for you both Ava and pear. I love a bit of symptom spotting. I think my only symptom from both my pregnancies was lack of af symptoms, so lack if symptoms is a symptom Wink.

Trinpy · 25/05/2015 21:43

Sorry that was a lot of the word symptom in one post!

AvaAmulet · 25/05/2015 22:33

Hmm, had a sudden burst of energy and got some jobs done - so totally confused now Confused

Oh, and DD is currently back to really wanting a little sister...it was easier last month when she was adamant she didn't want one... Hmm

Right, copying totally stealing Wax's weaning idea, I now have around 15 'lucky dip' gifts wrapped for DD in a large Disney princess bag. So far I have divided up a play-doh gift set into individual gifts, split a pack of 3 Mr Men bubbles to make three separate gifts, 2 sticker books, 2 purses (she loves to count money! And has way more £ than me! Shock) - so these are all activity based things, that I know she will love, to distract her when she asks for demands boob. I will wait until the bag is full before I try this though, as I don't want to run out Wink

Methinks this thread should be re-tilted 'ttc and trying not to be still breastfeeding' haha Blush Grin

peardrop2 · 26/05/2015 07:22

Ava - I find it so odd to hear that your dd is pining for a baby. Only because my ds still doesn't say one word at 24 months. I'm pretty sure he likes being the only child though Grin I can't imagine him communicating about it! It's very sweet of your dd though Smile

Any news this morning? I love your weaning plan Smile

autonomousplum · 26/05/2015 07:55

Morning guys! pear ava any updates? living vicariously through others Grin

6dpo for me and a big temp drop. It was a really crappy night's sleep though so I'm blaming that rather than the more obvious explanation which is that af is, in her usual short as shit fashion, on her way after another 5day lp. Regardless of the progesterone.
I managed about one hour sleep in total last night. DC is sickly and since we share a room and co-sleep I can hear every struggling breath and every little moan during the night. yawn No idea why the feck dh doesn't also wake up. Envy

and my temp three hours later was a whole degree higher anyway

Mumof1sofar · 26/05/2015 08:14

Poor you auto. Hope you can get a rest today.

waxweasel · 26/05/2015 08:21

Eeee good luck Ava!! Really hope the plan works. I'm feeling honoured you're giving my idea a try! If you're looking for other things to add, glow sticks were a winner with my DD in her stocking (and cheap - loads in a packet), and also cheap notebooks and normal grown up biro pens so she can 'work'. Fingers crossed it works! We had another full milk-free daytime yesterday, apart from one small episode where she tripped and bumped her nose and got upset. Felt too mean to deny her, dont want it to feel like a punishment so I let her have some. Onto day 3!

My DD loves money and counting it too - so strange isn't it? She never asks for specific presents, she will always ask for 'money for a X'. Why not just ask for the thing she wants??

And the baby thing....jesus. My DD is utterly obsessed. A few nights ago my DH told her she needed to start sleeping nicely and letting mummy sleep or there wouldn't be a baby. She nodded and said 'hmm, want four babies. FOUR.' So she's now taken to instead waking me up repeatedly to check whether I've grown four babies yet. Joy.

Pear, I think boys are just different at this age! All the ones I know seem less verbal. Apparently DH didn't speak until he was 4! So maybe you just have one of those quiet, contemplative sorts :)
