For those of us who prefer a bit of scenery along the way and can't keep up with the MEGA-BUS!

Sorry for the bfn melon but as others have said, could it just be too early? We all know the feeling too well so if you need to offload please feel free.
Southy that is a symptom! I have my fingers tightly crossed for you

DizzyMerry · 02/04/2015 09:04

I also like the idea of one bus every month. I feel like that would give me more perspective iyswim

Woolly84 · 02/04/2015 09:04

melon sorry for the BFN Sad

coffee a "current month" bus makes much more sense, love that idea!

dizzynorthern temp rise sounds good, when did you last dtd?

Good luck for the exam gingerbread!

spinningirl10 · 02/04/2015 09:05

Morning Smile

I'm liking this happy friendly busGrin

Melon, I replied to your post this morning on the mega bus but I didn't realise it was you edd, that is so tough. I've been there and as Cariad says it will get easier once this date has passed. Take some time to do something nice at the weekend and I hope you get your sticky bfp very soon xx

nightandthelight · 02/04/2015 09:07

So shall we agree that regardless of when AF/BFP arrives we stay on the April bus until the end of April?

Had forgotten that it was your edd Melon, many hugs for you and make sure to take care of yourself today xx

MalibuDaisy · 02/04/2015 09:11

Morning all! I think most of our friends either know or have guessed that we're TTC. Not because I've proffered the information, but because they've asked and I'm a crap liar! It's odd the way people will just straight out ask you about whether you're TTC once you've been married a couple of years - then usually caveat it with something like "Oh God that's really rude of me! Sorry!" To which I always feel obliged to say "Oh no it's fine" and come clean...so if when the time does come it's safe to say that I'll probably be outed the second I'm caught with a soft drink in my hand.

I'm actually worrying that IF (big if) I get a BFP next week I'll have to cancel drinks with friends the weekend after as it would be completely obvious (I'm not a soft drink girl and I also hate driving so there goes that excuse!) My SIL had a miscarriage at six weeks after announcing her pregnancy to quite a lot of friends and family and then had the horrible task of ringing round to tell people the bad news. So I've learned a lesson there. If when we get a BFP I think I'll just have to be a social hermit for 13 weeks...

DizzyMerry · 02/04/2015 09:11

Oh melon I just realised it's your edd. Look after yourself Flowers

Night it makes sense to stay here until end of April. I am also on the mega bus but I am an April ttc'er so should be here really. What do others think?

Good news on the raised temp dizzy fx

spinningirl10 · 02/04/2015 09:12

Boris, good luck with speaking to work about China. I would love to visit China but I see the timings shit and 3 months is a long time to be away from dh.

Staying on the bus until the end of the month is a good idea, don't know why it wasn't thought of sooner!Smile

Mumof1sofar · 02/04/2015 09:13

Southy how annoying! They are on offer in boots atm if you want to stock up. It's good to know when/if I ov, just wish it wouldn't take so long. I thought I'd be using 5 sticks a month.... Looks like it could be 10! Hopefully it will pay off though Smile

DizzyNorthernBird · 02/04/2015 09:21

woolly I haven't dtd since cd20! Now cd28 so there's zero chance if I have finally ovulated. Kinda gave up on April after the last week of temps.

Who can give me some advice on getting bloods done? Do I need to see my gp first or is it generally ok to call and tell the receptionist what you need? I also don't know how I'm going to get cd1 tests done when AF tends to fluctuate on what day it arrives?

Southy84 · 02/04/2015 09:23

Ohh that's good to know thanks mumof1 also need to get me a thermometer, going to give it a go next month.

I'd love to stay on the bus, my cycles seem to fall so my next AF would be due in may so I miss lots of things if I swap buses. Same happened last month too, great idea :)

DizzyNorthernBird · 02/04/2015 09:24

This is my shitty chart as of today for anyone who is interested. Isn't it shit. Useless crap reproductive system.

On a much more positive note, I've barely had any sugar since Sunday Easter Smile

DizzyNorthernBird · 02/04/2015 09:30

Really sorry for the cluster posts but I've just had a brain wave,

I was taking sudafed from cd6 to cd11, could this have stopped me ovulating? I know it's meant to dry up cm, I didn't have a problem with this, but could it stop ov? Maybe this is why my temps didn't rise? clutches at straws

DizzyMerry · 02/04/2015 09:33

Dizzy I have day 21 bloods today. Make an appointment with your GP and they will arrange for this. They do it on day 21 for a regular 28 day cycle but if yours aren't regular, I think the advice is to have them done 7 days before your period but if you're not sure when AF will arrive then 7 days after ovulation. You can go to your GP any day in your cycle and they will give you the blood slip thing (not sure what it's called) and you then go when that day arrives in your cycle. Hope that makes some sense!

DizzyNorthernBird · 02/04/2015 09:40

Thanks dizzymerry. When will you get your results? It must feel good to take that first step, although I know you've been through this before.

coffeenut · 02/04/2015 09:45

dizzy I have taken things (spearmint tea, I'm looking at you) or been under loads of stress in the past which has delayed ovulation (I think my body tried but didn't get there until late on, thus period was delayed by two weeks or more). Could it be possible you tried to ov around the 21st but didn't get there? Did you use OPKs from the 20th onwards?

southy being hot is a great sign!

I agree night, let's go all retro mumsnet and do monthly ttc buses Smile (glad I can be useful for something). So... anyone ttc in April, at any point whatsoever, all aboard.

coffeenut · 02/04/2015 09:46

merry I keep meaning to say this but, good luck with bloods today!!!

BananaRaces · 02/04/2015 09:46

I have the FF mobile app... does anyone know how to share a thumbnail of my chart on here? I'd really appreciate a second opinion!

Good luck Merry, I'm off for mine tomorrow. FX for both of us!

DizzyMerry · 02/04/2015 09:46

I should get the results at some point next week and yes it does feel good to making that first step. It took some courage but there's no point in delaying any further

Southy84 · 02/04/2015 10:03

dizzy I don't understand charts at all, going to hopefully start temping next month, sorry if this sounds stupid but what's bad about it? Is it that it should stay high after the highest point?

Hope the blood tests go well today merry x

Southy84 · 02/04/2015 10:09

coffee I also have a cold thing I can't seem to shift, maybe temp is related to that, although I don't think so as this cold has been lingering for a good couple of weeks. Oh who knows, still getting on off stomach cramps too so not feeling hopeful

loopylou1984 · 02/04/2015 10:11

Dizzy the bloods should be done day 3 and day 21 (or seven days after ov). I saw my gp who put a note on my file then booked the day 3 when af arrived. Xx

BananaRaces · 02/04/2015 10:20

Ok, I think I've managed to share my chart with you guys... If it has worked then - what the heck is going on with my temping Shock ?! Do you think it's because I've been ill?

The April 2015 Bus #2 - bring us our Easter BFPs!
DizzyNorthernBird · 02/04/2015 10:30

coffee, spearmint tea?! You're right it could also be stress, DP and I had a couple of really big fights last week and another one at the beginning of this week. My poor egg doesn't have a hope in hell at the moment poor blighter.

Fingers crossed your results come back ok dizzymerry, you're lovely and you so deserve another baby. You too banana.

southy yes, after ov your temp should go up and stay up until AF/bfp (if bfp it stays up, if AF it drops down and pretty much stays down until after next ov). The fact mine didn't stay up means I didn't ov.

Don't get me wrong, temping can be a little stressful, especially when you're disappointed each morning with your reading, hoping each time it stays high. But without temping I wouldn't have known this month that there was a problem. When AF was late, I'd be filling my head with hope that I might be pg only to be let down when AF does eventually appear. At least now this month I know full well in advance that AF will be late and that I'm definitely not pg!

Thanks sammy I didn't realise it was cd3, that makes it easier!

loopylou1984 · 02/04/2015 10:33

Banana - your chart does look a bit rocky... Have u been taking temp at the same time every day? With at least 3 hours sleep and before you move or talk? Xx
