Hi all, sorry not had a chance to catch up here. Had a long day as had a hospital app with travel included and I'm wiped but promise will catch up on you all Tomor.. I have caught up on the Bumsnet bus and honestly can't manage anymore tonight after the zen was knocked out of kilter today! Hopefully Tomor will be better day on the buses although I'm sure you lot have had a lovely peaceful day as per!! As I said, haven't read back at all yet but will see you all Tomor and hope you are all ok and not throwing OPKs at each other night night

Sorry to hear about the China trip hair sounds like a tough decision, but you do what you need to do, follow your gut feelings, 3 months is a long time but can also be a short time when working. Not sure what I'd do but we're all here to support you x

I made the mistake of telling people we were going to try for another baby this year and now I can see them watching when I drink/don’t drink etc. The prob is that people keep asking me when I'm returning to work (DD2 is 2 now but we were hoping to conceive and have another before I return - won't be able to get away with that for much longer though). I'm very conscious now of asking people about ttc myself - it's a very sensitive subject and I've had several friends who have had problems.

On the topic of mega bus etc - when I first joined mumsnet, the conception threads were more geared towards those TTC in a particular month. It didnt matter if you got your af mid-month, you didn't need to swap buses, everyone just moved to a new bus the next month (so September TTC thread then became October TTC ... there was not a thread for bfp due in September, then a separate concurrent thread for bfp due in October). It's a subtle difference, but it meant all ttcers stayed together until they conceived. It also meant for people like me who get af early on, I could stay with a bus all month, instead of swapping early on (or having to work out whether my AF/BFP would be due before end of month like it is in April).

Just popping on say hello. I haven't been near the mega bus - I can't keep up with it and also the strong opinions of some don't make it an easy place for introverts like me to be.

On the topic of telling people about ttc we didn't tell anybody about ds and this time random people that I barely know thinks it's okay to ask me if we're trying again. I wouldn't ask someone that if I barely knew them, it's very personal! I've just lied and said no but it makes you feel under pressure. I've told my mum and dp's mum as well as my closest friends but I couldn't keep it from them especially my friends, they were so excited! 6/7 months later and still nothing though (but maybe today?! )

AAAHHHHHGGGG another flashing smiley today - that is my 5th in a row!!! Means we will be dtd for at least the next 4 days, possibly longer. Going to the in laws on fri so not sure how we're going to squeeze in dtd... Awkward!

Coffee that's why I hate telling people we are ttc as I feel like they are all wondering how it's going & if you are still drinking, etc.

Oh Melon - Sorry about the BFN today. I know how important it was for you to get some good news on your EDD. I will be thinking of you today. If it's any consolation, as MrsGingerbread so wisely said to me when I was in bits around of my EDD in March, it does get easier. I certainly feel relieved that my first EDD has passed.

Quite a few of our friends and family know we are TTC. In a way, it makes it easier. We get less of the insensitive "So when are you two going to have a baby?!" comments at family events, social gatherings etc. They know we're trying. They watch what they say! We've also had some handy advice from those who've been there, done that... not that any of it has worked yet!

coffee I like that idea of one bus for the month, makes much more sense than swapping around depending on when you would be due. I loved the idea of the angry pubes bus too but it sounds like something has gone wrong?

boris, surely they can't make you go to another country. And if you refused they can't make your life difficult as I'm sure this could be some sort of breach of employment law, have you asked wotsits about this as she's good with law stuff.

melon we're all here for you, sometimes it helps to have a bit of time away from these forums. I've been really fed up this week with my lack of ov this month, a couple of days off has allowed my to recoup and it's nice to come back and catch up.

Well I don't have much news here, cd28 and I've finally seen another temp rise this morning. Whether or not that means I've finally ov'd I don't know, although I did have some wet cm yesterday. not ewcm though. I suppose my temps the next few days will tell all. however, I have to do some night shifts from tonight until Sunday (very rarely do these, Sod's law I'm doing them when I'm closely monitoring temps) which will screw everything up as I find it very hard to sleep during the day I'll be annoyed if I have ov'd too though as I had a feeling last night that I should dtd but then I got too tired.

Mistletoe our plan was just to tell one friend each however three of mine have ended up knowing as they arranged spa days and I didn't know whether I would be able to use saunas etc. No family know though (am not close to family so they will be the last to know).

mumof1 I feel your frustration with those taunting flashy smileys! I had I think 3 days (compared to 1 last month) then I ran out of sticks! So I don't know if I got a solid smiley or not this month grrr.

The last 4 nights I've been waking up hot, not sweating but just hot, skin is very warm and same when I wake up in the morning, have had to sleep with the window open... Could this be a good symptom??

I wish I could tell my friends like you daisy but my friends CANNOT keep things to themselves, they get so excited about things it's practically in the paper after a day!
