When would you usually ov banana? Maybe your body started to gear up hence the ewcm but then you got ill and it couldn't?

BananaRaces · 02/04/2015 10:41

Hi Sammy I've been trying for the same time every day, but in reality it's been between 6am and 6:30am, apart from the 3 empty circles which were more like 7am. Do you think that's close enough, or should I be trying for exactly the same time? I've been taking it with at least 3 hours sleep and before I get out of bed or talk (I have to move a bit to get the thermometer off the bedside table though)...

Southy84 · 02/04/2015 10:45

Thanks for the info dizzy there's one part of me that thinks temping is really informative and the other that thinks it screams stress lol. Will try to give it a go, just need to remember to order a thermometer :)

DizzyMerry · 02/04/2015 10:54

Thanks dizzy. I'm glad joined these buses, you ladies are amazing. I also think you're right about temping pinpointing issues and making things a bit easier to understand. I have never been able to get into it before but will give it a good try if I need to next cycle. Fx for April being a lucky month for every one of you

BananaRaces · 02/04/2015 10:55

Dizzy I have no idea! This is my first month temping and I don't usually get ov pain or anything. I have CD21 bloods being taken tomorrow so hopefully they will say that I did ov and it's just me being rubbish at temping! Grin

loopylou1984 · 02/04/2015 11:10

That's sounds ok for timings.
I think it probably was your illness causing the mountain range.
See what your temp does the next couple of days, I think maybe you ovd on cd18, in which case your temp should now stay up around today's reading. If I'm right then you will need to have your blood test day 25. Hopefully ff will put in your crosshairs soon. Xx

DizzyNorthernBird · 02/04/2015 11:10

Ok, how long are your cycles usually then?

I don't get ov pain or ov symptoms either so it's difficult to know what's what until you've temped a couple of months. It's only my second month so I'm basing everything on my last month!

loopylou1984 · 02/04/2015 11:12

My post was to banana btw! X

DizzyNorthernBird · 02/04/2015 11:17

So was mine! lol

coffeenut · 02/04/2015 11:25

how did you share your chart banana? I still haven't worked that out yet. I'm on a pc rather than app though. I agree with sammy - looks like ov on the cd18.

On/off stomach cramps are okay southy. I get very pronounced lower back/ovary cramps in the day or two before AF - very different to stomach preg-type pulling cramps.

Spearmint tea was to clear my skin (had terrible skin years ago). seems it really messed with my hormones as my cycle went from very regular 29 days to 6+ weeks for the three months I took it!

Sparkly123 · 02/04/2015 11:26

Argh! Now you lot are speeding ahead and the Bumsnetters are at a slow and steady speed! Gonna catch up on yesterday's action now..! Easter Grin

BananaRaces · 02/04/2015 11:29

Sammy I hope I don't ov around CD18 normally, because if I do that means I have a very short LF doesn't it? I was wondering whether I ov'd on CD13 (because of the EWCM) but got the temp reading on CD16 wrong - that one was later than all the others (around 8am I think)

Dizzy My cycles are usually 29 days, and regular as clockwork normally. I suppose if this one is unusually long then I will know that my nasty cold has screwed things up this month.

TrixieRay · 02/04/2015 11:30

Melon, I was so hoping you would get a BFP today Flowers

Goodluck with your exam MrsGingerbread

MalibuDaisy, I am the similar with the wine. I started just having it on Saturday but then ended up drinking too much cos I knew I wouldn't have any more until the next Saturday. Trying to just have a glass or two once or twice a week now. I love those mini bottles you can get.

On the subject of drink/nights out a few of my friends have upset me, maybe I am being too sensitive but it is a friend's birthday in May, she lives 2 hours away and I have said that I will come but will leave early to head home and they are giving me a hard time about not staying over night. We had a night out there in December and ended up over doing it and being out until 4am, I lost my jacket, found receipts in my bag for drinks I didn't remember buying and had a horrendous hangover. It was fun but as the May night is the cycle before we are doing IVF I don't want any big nights out so my body is in the best possible condition. I could go and only have a few but I know I would end up having more and then feeling guilty. It's hard because I don't want to fall out with my friends but they still enjoy all the partying and I just don't. Am I being really boring?

Southy, hotness is a great sign Smile

Still no PMT here, I wonder if the low sugar diet has balanced my hormones, we'll see. Oh, and Raynauds ladies, I've been taking baby aspirin for 11 days now and my fingers and feet no longer feel like blocks of ice!

I've had my boss in telling me my time recording is down so really shouldn't be on here and haven't caught up properly. I agree re staying on the bus when/if AF arrives though Smile

BananaRaces · 02/04/2015 11:31

coffee on the mobile app I went into "sharing" and emailed it to myself. Then uploaded it as an image... I'm not sure if that's the right way to do it, but it worked for me!!

loopylou1984 · 02/04/2015 11:37

Banana, if you were unwell ov could well have been delayed.
I am by no means an expert but I don't think you ovd when you had the ewcm. I know it's frustrating, but you're going to have wait and see what tomorrow and Saturday brings. It takes a couple of months of temping to work out what your cycle is doing. X

DizzyNorthernBird · 02/04/2015 11:37

coffee not sure about on a pic but on my iPad i save the chart to my image gallery then when you press 'choose file' you simply select the photo of the chart. Spearmint tea eh, who would have thought it!

banana keep temping because you may well have ov'd and if you get your crosshair then you'll know for sure.

BananaRaces · 02/04/2015 11:38

Thanks Sammy patience it is then. Easter Smile

DizzyNorthernBird · 02/04/2015 11:40

banana don't worry about luteal phase just yet until you've completed this months temping and maybe even next month given the fact your illness has potentially disrupted your chart. The good thing about charting is if you do have a short LP you can address it straight away with your doctor, I'm lead to believe this is relatively straight forward to rectify.

BananaRaces · 02/04/2015 11:41

Thanks to you too Dizzy. You ladies are so supportive, it's really lovely.

DizzyNorthernBird · 02/04/2015 11:43

trixie I'm also trying a low sugar diet to see if it helps balance hormones (although I don't actually know if I've got an imbalance yet lol). What have you been doing to cut out the sugar? Any tactics or just cutting it out completely?

nightandthelight · 02/04/2015 11:48

Argh MN ate my post! Was just saying that you ANBU Trixie! Also I have just heard that someone dropped out of the counselling course I want to do so can start in April rather than September!

juneybean · 02/04/2015 11:56

Sorry I'm a bit shit with catching up this week, but when we come to make next thread we'll say in opening post it's for anyone TTC in the month of April Grin

TrixieRay · 02/04/2015 11:57

Dizzy, I am just trying to be a bit more conscious of things that contain sugar - I didn't give it a second thought before! Realised my 'healthy' yogurts had 26g of sugar (ideally you shouldn't have more than 25g a day!) oops. Switched yogurts straight away and add a few choc sprinkles to get my choc hit. I also add a tiny bit of jam to my porridge but they are the only sweet things I have at the mo. Plan to have some chocolate and a glass or two of wine over the weekend though as you can't be good all the time Easter Grin

Aw, thanks Night Easter Smile great news re your course!

BananaRaces · 02/04/2015 12:11

Sammy and Dizzy I've just read that people who sleep with their mouths open may get really inaccurate BBT results if they take their temperature orally! Now I always sleep with my mouth open, so maybe that's causing my bizarre mountain-range temps. I think next month I might try taking my temp vaginally, as much as the idea is less-than-tempting! Easter Blush

bfn for me Sad
