Fabulous news Mum!

Thanks for the lovely encouragement ladies, will be testing on Sunday if no AF by then :) No symptoms whatsoever. However last month I had every symptom under the sun but no BFP so am taking this as a good thing!

Back in work :(

MalibuDaisy · 07/04/2015 08:11

Just checking in after the Easter break, how lovely to see a couple of Easter BFPs!! Congratulations :)

AF arrived on late on Sunday, three days early and so light that I wondered if it could be an implantation bleed, I only have a barely-there bleed less than 48 hours later but a test this morning came out as a BFN.

I've realised that every month there's going to be something or other that makes me think this will be the one. Isn't there? When AF came early and was all dark brown blood I thought "OMG this is it!" I expect next month she'll be late in order to compensate for the early one this month, and I'll be convinced then too!

Only two months TTC and already it's shredding my nerves. And I'm not even a broody type! I have massive respect for the ladies who keep on going at it month after month.

Wondering whether to nip to Tesco and get an OPK later. I promised my husband we'd try one more month of the relaxed, non-gadget approach, but I think he'd understand...is it important to know my average cycle length for an OPK though? Because it just got reduced a bit by the weird AF Confused

MalibuDaisy · 07/04/2015 08:12

"On late on Sunday"?! On Sunday evening would make more sense...

auxiliaryauroch · 07/04/2015 08:20

coffee yes dc does now take formula. We substituted the last feed at night and the midnight feed with a bottle reasonably easily. I've tried the early morning bottle too, which dc takes happily for "food" reasons but then still wants the dreamfeed cuddled up between us in bed after. Unfortunately dc hates pacifiers except for teething relief to chew on! Grin

loopylou1984 · 07/04/2015 08:22

I'm away at the moment but just wanted to pop in to say congratulations for recent BFPs Smile

JemimaPuddleDuck2 · 07/04/2015 08:25

Morning ladies,

Mumof1 - I'm so bloody relieved for you! I think you'll need the TWW to recover! Wink

Laura'sdream - When I read your post about your conversation with DS it brought a tear to my eye....I hope you and your family get your BFP soon!

Coffenut - Thank you, I still feel moody and tender boobs and tummy but no AF yet so taking each day at a time and willing the witch to stay away.

I'm using FF and noticed this morning it's recommending that as its my first cycle I wait until the 23rd of April to test -18 Dpo! This made me giggle,it obviously doesn't know who it's dealing with! I have absolutely no patient and I'll be surprised if I make it to the weekend without poas! ??

Southy84 · 07/04/2015 08:29

Oh laura your ds will have his little brother or sister. That must have been hard to hear but you will get there Flowers

mumof1 yay I'm so pleased you got static smiley!! That's really good news!

I cracked and POAS at 4am this morning and got a Bfn :( don't know why I bother testing, it's just a disappointment seeing a blank space where I desperately want there to be a second line.

Off on holiday today though so hopefully that will take my mind off it.

coffeenut · 07/04/2015 09:00

southy that's totally and thoroughly crap. I was so hoping this month would be your month Sad. Are you feeling like af is on its way or is there still a chance? I hope you can forget about it and really enjoy your holiday either way Flowers

malibu it's not vital to know - perhaps start using them early on though ie as soon as AF is over, just incase you have a short cycle and ovulate early on.

Jemima 18dpo! I'm lucky to last until 10dpo

Mumof1sofar · 07/04/2015 09:22

Thanks Jemima. Hope you survive the 2ww! It's so frustrating not knowing! I could never wait 18 days though!! Shock

Southy sorry for the bfn. Hope there is still a chance & you have a great holiday Thanks

Woolly84 · 07/04/2015 09:30

Morning ladies! I'm back at work today for the start of a busy few weeks - boo! Sad

southy I'm sorry for the BFN, yes enjoy your holiday and try and take your mind off it. Even if AF arrives, once you're back from hols it's the start of a brand new cycle! Smile are you off anywhere nice?

mumof1 yes!!! You show that stick who's boss!! Grin

malibu sorry for AF, agree with coffeenut just start testing a day or so after AF finishes.

jemima 18 dpo! I salute you! Grin

laura your DS sounds adorable and I hope his little sibling is along v soon!! Smile

sammy hope you're having a lovely time away!

TheMshipIsBack · 07/04/2015 10:12

I was on the previous April bus thread briefly and have been lurking here for a while, but a) probably didn't belong as I should have been on the March bus, and b) thought it was highly unlikely I was pregnant due to timing. Wrong on both counts!

LMP 19 Feb, tested 26 March, BFN, tested 1st April faint BFP, re-tested 3rd April very definitely BFP. 1st cycle. facepalm

Guess my body's just been wonky with all the stress and illness this winter/spring and I must have ovulated really late (~d26?). According to LMP I'm due 26 Nov, but we think it's more likely 8 Dec. I've had morning (well, mostly evening) sickness for a week already but otherwise feeling fine.

Congratulations to all the other BFPs this month! Fx for everyone waiting Easter Smile

abi2790 · 07/04/2015 10:15

Sorry I haven't been on for days guys I've just been very busy over easter!

Congratulations on the recent bfp's!

Cd34 for me and still no af Sad

MelonMelon · 07/04/2015 10:28

my AF now 4 days late with no sign of arrival. BFN all round. my Ovia app has thrown a strop over it!

DizzyNorthernBird · 07/04/2015 10:31

Morning all!

theM , congratulations, fantastic news! Lucky lady getting a bfp first cycle!

mum congrats on the solid smiley finally! Get cracking!

Hope the rest of you are well! I'm trying to recover from my night shifts, shattered today after having minimal sleep yesterday so I could get up and enjoy a beautiful Easter monday! Had a lovely day, hope you all did too!

nightandthelight · 07/04/2015 10:35

Congrats theM!

Abi have you tested again?

Melon perhaps you are one of these people who get late BFPs? Must be awful to be in such limbo :(

DizzyNorthernBird · 07/04/2015 10:42

AF has arrived today! I've attached my chart for no reason at all

Interestingly. My new bbt thermometer has arrived this morning, which some of you may remember I ordered because of the steady temps on my chart and I was concerned that a) the thermometer was unreliable or b) something was wrong with me and I wanted a second opinion before running off to my gp for tests.

Well, so I immediately got out the new thermometer to temp and compare against the old one, I did this twice, differences are shocking and would make a huge difference charting wise:

Test 1: old stick- 36.67. New stick - 36.20 Shock
Test 2: old stick - 36.58. New stick - 36.48

Now, I know this doesn't necessarily negate there being steady temps again on my new chart but I'm relieved that my AF/pre ov temps aren't going to be as high and obviously I'm hoping that the old stick was indeed broken. The new one takes alot longer to measure my temp.

Maybe I did ovulate last month after all?

night I think you ordered the same thermometer as me? Fx it's a good one!

The April 2015 Bus #2 - bring us our Easter BFPs!
tessiegirl · 07/04/2015 10:47

Hello everyone! Hope you all had a lovely easter weekend!

Well, woke up to snow here Confused and crampy af feeling...ugh. Just going to try and focus on getting things sorted and packed this week for coming back to the UK on Saturday!!

Yay for static smiley Mum You must be so relieved!!! Get dtd!! Smile

Sorry for the bfn Southy Sad

Congrats TheM!!

abi2790 · 07/04/2015 10:48

I've not tested since Wednesday Night but I will test tomorrow when I can go and get some more tests. I don't feel pregnant so it's highly unlikely that I am and af is just being cruel to me Sad

MelonMelon · 07/04/2015 10:52

I second what Abi says. I'm not pregnant but I don't have my period. It's torture.
no symptoms and when I had a bfp last year i got it on day 28.

DizzyNorthernBird · 07/04/2015 10:56

abi did you ovulate late?

Just tested again, both sticks in mouth at the same time, new thermometer is again 0.2 lower than the old one Shock

night if you did order the same one as me, just thought I'd give you a heads up - this one doesn't have a backlight so put the light on if you're testing when it's dark! Also write the result down before you switch it off, my old one would bring up the last temp when you switched it back on whereas this one doesn't. My plan is to test in the dark, then get up and go into the bathroom with my phone to check the reading and log it on ff before switching off the thermometer ha ha. It doesn't switch itself off for ten minutes so there's plenty of time to do this.

DizzyNorthernBird · 07/04/2015 10:58

melon and abi, hope you both find out either way soon. That's not nice being in limbo.

abi2790 · 07/04/2015 11:04

It's so stressful isn't it melon?! This happened to me last month but af had appeared way before now. just checked on ovuview and it's not Cd34 but cd36!!

MelonMelon · 07/04/2015 11:14

I was a week late in January but to be fair my December cycle was hit and miss so I don't think I should have counted CD1 when I did. This is bizarre though! Worried because we stopped dtd a week ago! I know I'm out I just want the witch to show so I can move on.

DizzyMerry · 07/04/2015 11:18

Melon and Abi I hope your are both out of this limbo soon. It's torturous not knowing what's going on

Southy sorry for the bfn Sad I understand exactly how you feel seeing a negative test is the most cruelest thing to happen to anyone ttc. Enjoy your holiday and I hope it refreshes you so if AF does arrive you can recharge and come back to a fresh cycle Flowers

Mum fab news on the static smiley.

Dizzy I'm pleased you resolved the temp issue. How annoying though and if you hadn't changed the thermometer you would have had this issue every month. Anyway you'll have a lovely chart soon and that bfp.
