mistletoe I got a BFP in Jan and had BFN at 10dpo, then by 11dpo there was a hint of a line on an IC and a BFP on frer by 12dpo! So it def can happen, keep positive!

I went to the beach with my DH & DS...there were buggies & babies everywhere & my poor DS said to me mum you told me I would have a baby brother or sister before I was 12. I told him I know, but mum has to see the doctor first to get medicine to help me make a baby...he left out a big sigh. Poor dude I feel so sorry for him.

Mumof1 Keep dtd, but remember to have fun! We found it tedious when you we were just trying & trying. My DH & I dtd every 3 days before ovulation..i.e. cd 11, 14, 17, 20, 21 this month so far ! After ovulation we just dtd whenever we want!

Oh laura that must have been hard for both of you. However, it will happen and you will get your bfp. I would never have thought it would be so hard to conceive until I started trying but we have to keep going

Thanks DizzyM It did make me feel sad. Your are right we will conceive. Deep in my heart I know I will conceive, it is just taking a lot longer than I thought it would! Looks like this week I will be letterbox watching as well as knickers watching! Fx I get an appointment in the post soon!

Sorry it's taking longer than you hoped, Laura. This ttc is a tedious business & especially if you have long or unpredictable cycles I hope we all get our bfps asap! There is a baby for each of us out there just waiting to be created & born

Thanks, I will download fertility friend & next cycle will start it. Will keep dtd this cycle but tbh I've really lost the motivation- feel like this month is a bit of a write off for ttc

That is a lovely thing to say mum and it's so very true. We have to keep believing that each time we feel down, even though it is hard dealing with disappointment each month. We will all get there.

Definitely recommend FF and temping – fingers crossed that the bbt and ov sticks you ordered are completely wasted as you have your bfp in a few days time anyway! aux sorry that you are out this cycle Chocs and and for you. I breastfed both my DCs for over a year and I understand you often can't just stop/start whatever. I wonder if it does interfere with LP - did the GP say?

mumof1 I use fertility friend too – very easy to use – hoping you wont need it though!

mistletoe What sort of hpt did you use and what dpo are you? Unless it was a sensitive one, then you could definitely still be in with a chance. I have very similar stats to you - I’m also 34 and trying to conceive no. 3, and all I can say is I tested stupidly early pretty much every cycle we’ve been trying (cycle 4 now) and unfortch haven’t yet got my bfp yet – but we’ll get there - hopefully this cycle for you!

Thanks coffee. It's a tough call, yes. Good work on feeding them both that long. My dc is now 12 months but I had hoped to carry on indefinitely. It does interfere I'm sure, but AF has been back for a while after I deliberately cut down from on demand to bring her back and I now only do one sometimes two a day. I would have hoped it doesn't mess the lp/late ov up like that. I'm starting soy tonight or tomorrow in the hope it will bring ov forward from around cd25.

laura thanks! 6 day lp this month. No chance like ever for something to happen. Boo. Any doctor worth their salt will tell me to drop that last feed and stop completely And then cycles will normalise. Aaa-aaargh! I'm trying but the morning feed is tough going as it gives us an extra hour of sleep. of all those people who just fall pregnant while still bf full time without caring. Will see gp next month like you suggest if soy doesn't fix it this month!

Will he/she take bottles at all aux? Could you have a bottle ready for that first feed, if so (or better yet get DH to get a bottle ready for first feed?). I was pretty dependent on dummies/pacifiers to help weaning as mine didnt take bottles and used the boob to soothe otherwise. I also know a few who have conceived while still breastfeeding but stopped soon after as it was bloody tiring!
