If you can keep up with a bus that fills up in one weekend and chat shit then jump aboard the bus you are never allowed to leave! Trying to set a target for most BFPs on one bus!

No LPBs allowed!

Hey everyone, hope you are all well. I'm not sure where to post now there are a couple of buses floating around but thought I would pop on here to say hi.

Sorry to hear that AF has arrived Sammy. Do you have any appts lined up for tests etc?

I haven't managed to read back properly as things move so quickly but I do try to keep up as much as poss. Congrats to the recent bfps, always nice to see Smile

Hope you are ok Purdey, sorry to see that AF has been messing you about.

I have just been for my endo scratch for those of you who are thinking about ivf. I have to say it was more painful than I expected it to be. I probably didn't help much as I tensed up a bit. It's all done now though and hopefully I won't have to have another!! Just need to wait for AF to arrive now which I'm hoping should be Sunday or Monday and then I can begin my medication!

Wish I could go home now and snuggle up in front of the tv but back to work I go!

lucieloos · 31/03/2015 13:17

Oh spinning did you get any more news on your dhs results?

Sparkly123 · 31/03/2015 13:19

Hi lucie was wondering where you were the other day! Things are really moving forward then, how exciting.
Sorry the endo scratch wasn't great Flowers, at least it's done now and you can move on! Are you still in pain now?

cremedecacao · 31/03/2015 14:20

Sorry to hear about AF Sammy Flowers sounds like you knew it was coming. I'll be keeping an eye out for you on this bus!

Big congratulations to Pug Flowers
I am waiting for mine, BFN this morning and AF due tomorrow. Will keep you posted when I know!

HeirToTheIronThrone · 31/03/2015 14:34

Oh thank you Mummy - EDD is 18 November.

lucieloos · 31/03/2015 15:07

Thanks sparkly a little crampy but it has died down a lot now thank goodness! It was just actually having it done that I found the worst.

auroraboringalis · 31/03/2015 15:51

Hallo-oooo! Things seem to have gotten all confusing while I've been away? Is this the April bus? The March bus? God forbid it is not the May bus is it? Shock Is there still a gin terrace?

dojo123 · 31/03/2015 16:05

aurora it's an endless bus. It is so we don't need to go jumping when AF arrives and those that do get a BFP can stay to support and what the rest of you get the BFPs you so richly deserve. Grin

ThePug · 31/03/2015 16:14

aurora Times have changed! We made an executive decision that nobody wants to leave passengers behind and keep jumping from monthly bus to monthly bus, so there should be a forever bus that keeps going and going and anyone can jump on when they need to.

So sorry to hear so many of you are feeling down today. Flowers Hope to see you around from time to time, and just use the Bus to offload, ask advice, share intimate details as & when you want.

lucie That sounds painful, but fx it will be one more step towards your bfp

Sparkly This was only cycle 2 for us, so I'm very lucky. I came off the pill mid January and saw my Dr to get a folic acid prescription (I need 5mg as am diabetic), so I've been taking that and my iron tablets I was already on anyway. Haven't taken any other vitamins, nor have I eaten any brazil nuts or other special food!

tessie Yes the microscope is exactly the same size as a lipstick, and looks the same too so is very discreet to carry around. You literally just pull the lens out the top (about the size of a button), put some spit on it, leave it to dry for 10-15 minutes, put it back in, twiddle it to focus and see what you can see. The beauty is you can use it as many times per day as you want so you don't feel like you're wasting anything like you might with opks.

spinning I don't know why more people don't use them. I found it quite early on when was googling how to get pregnant TTC tips. This month I used the microscope, opks, tracked temp, CM & cervix position on FF and followed SMEP. I'm pretty certain I wouldn't have kept all that faffing up for months though and think it is probably sensible to just pick one or two tools to assist getting the timing right.

Met up with DH at lunch time (I took some jelly babies!) and he is excited. But was complaining that now he'll have to do everything for me too right! Picked up some clearblue digi's so will take one of them in the morning to double check.

auroraboringalis · 31/03/2015 16:19

Aaa-aaah! An endless bus! I feel enlightened! Well done passengers, drivers, gin-masters, riders of the storm and all the rest! Grin

auroraboringalis · 31/03/2015 16:24

My update is ov-ed cd25 based on OPKs (same as last month wtf so late!), DTD enough I think, 1dpo today, hoping for an lp longer than five days this time around. Hmm
Lots on plate right now so apologies for scarcity on thread! Hope we have a good stack of bfps so far on the fancy new never-ending story bus!

Oysterbabe · 31/03/2015 16:41

Afternoon Pubes.
AF in full flow here and I'm glad, last month it was so light and nothingy that it wasn't a proper AF at all.

Realised this month is my last chance to be off work on maternity leave for Christmas so going to give it my all. Sat at home waiting to give birth sounds SO much more appealing than trekking across the country to be subjected to terrible soap opera marathons at my mum's.
Hope Mr Oyster's injured groin is going to hold up!

ThePug · 31/03/2015 16:46

Good luck Oyster ! Am I right in thinking this cycle's tww would be in the 2 weeks lead up to your wedding? If so, you'll have plenty to keep your mind occupied!

loopylou1984 · 31/03/2015 16:48

Thanks Sparkly, I'll definitely not be leaving without some sort of plan.

Lucie glad the endo scratch went well, but sorry you're in pain.

Creme - yes I knew it was happening after my temperature plummeted yesterday, it's ok, I'm getting used it it now!

Waves to everyone else Smile

Oysterbabe · 31/03/2015 16:55

BFP due 6 days before my wedding so yes, hopefully I won't be dwelling on it too much and plenty to cheer me up if it doesn't happen!

victoria401 · 31/03/2015 17:00

Waves!

Congrats pug!

Nowt much to say really, just stalking. About 2dpo... Yawn...

ThePug · 31/03/2015 17:04

Win-win Oyster - Either you get BFP for your wedding present or you get to have loads and loads of fun on honeymoon trying!

Hi Victoria ! Did you (and Oyster) survive the storms last night? Don't want to out locations on here but I saw they were supposed to be bad where you are (it was ridiculously windy up the road where I am, but I don't think there were trees down or anything)

tessiegirl · 31/03/2015 17:22

Aww Lucie sorry the endo scratch was painful, but well done!!! It does sound painful actually, the kind of name that makes you wince!

I heard there have been bad storms in the UK last night?!! Everyone ok?!

Pug it is so lovely you went to meet DH at lunch to celebrate your little special secret....ah....I long to do the same...sigh

BabyBumpHopeful · 31/03/2015 17:42

I'm into the second week now and AF/BFP should be due this weekend.

Trying not to obsess about what DPO I am but I did have a dip yesterday and back up (phew!) today. Would feel excited about the dip except DH woke me to fix something on my fish tank that was making noise so I'm sure it's off. I was pleased it went back up as it dropped to my "normal" temp when AF is imminent so I was a little "EEP!" about it.

No symptoms really to report. Really hungry but that's not a symptom, it's just 21 mins till lunch!

spinningirl10 · 31/03/2015 17:51

Lucie, sorry to hear the endo scratch was painful. As you say at least it's done now and you're that bit closer to your IVFSmile no I haven't heard from the hospital, I totally forgot! I'll phone them again tomorrow, thanks for the reminderGrin

Sammy, I hope the break from here does you good. We're going away in 5 weeks so I shall be online a lot less and taking a more relaxed approach Smile

spinningirl10 · 31/03/2015 17:52

Sparkly, you're still waiting to ov?! Goodness you'll be awash with spermSmile

spinningirl10 · 31/03/2015 18:16

Pug, are you going to start a December Christmas Baby AN bus? I've just been looking and there isn't one yetSmile

Hairstylisttoboris · 31/03/2015 18:17

Right, one 'it's all about me' post coming up.

First GP appointment today. New doctors surgery in a new town and new gp so I didn't know what to expect.

Turns out my new gp had just joined the practice having worked as a fertility expert.

He asked me about my cycles, pre pill, post pill and what birth control id had before and if I've ever been pregnant, had a late period etc. also if DH had ever got anyone pregnant.

He then said he would book me in for 21 day bloods (but on day 16 due to short cycles) and an ultra sound. He said the ultra sound would be external if they could and only internal if the imaging didn't work.

He did advise not to have too much sex! He said sperm takes 2 days to develop so sex EoD is advised or even Every 3rd day! He said that some studies were even saying sperm could live for up to 10 days!!
Hope this helps someone, anyone else :)

Enough about me, let's get back to you!

abi2790 · 31/03/2015 18:21

hi everyone. I'm new on the thread but have been ttc for a while.

####abi, 24, ttc2, cycle 6, af due 31/03####
I think I put all the stats needed. I'm on mumsnet app so can't see previous posts whilst writing post.

Af due today and no signs of it coming. testing tomorrow Grin . Af was 5 days late last cycle though so not getting hopes up!

spinningirl10 · 31/03/2015 18:33

Welcome Abi, good luckSmile

Boris, wow you lucked in with your new doc! Fantastic, pleased he's running some tests and interesting what he says about sperm. I think we should stick to eod with dps bad sperm but then I worry about them not surviving long enough!
