I don't know if it's the "right" thing or not.... But if it gives them comfort and gives me comfort he hasn't choked on snot I'm all for it. Mine will start to rouse, beat me on chest while grumbling til he aggressively latches on and when sated will push me away, turn around and look for his dada. He'll then scream his name excitedly and go in for a bear hug. These pesky babies. Call me next time. I'll be awake. ALL THE TIME. it may not be the right thing....

Love how much you lot have planned things. I rocked up in labour and when the midwife asked for my birth plan I just stared and said I wanted a baby. :) I was very happy to have docs nearby as ds got stuck and was starting to get distressed so we needed help. Home birthers would argue that I wouldn't have panicked and he wouldn't have got stuck if I was at home. Who knows?

I wanted a water birth first time
Round but had to get out after there was meconium in my waters.

Second time around I ended up with an emergency c section. I live 40-60 mins from the hospital so for me a home birth would be too scary if anything went wrong and I had to get to the hospital. Think it must be lovely to have baby at home
And get into your own bed after

Mummy, it is outrageous how many visitors from one family are allowed around the bedside of postpartum mums. After I had given birth I had to endure streams of visitors for the Asian lady next to me. Her family brought tray upon tray of hot goods that stank and left lingering whiffs around the wards. Bloody terrible. They should cap the amount of visitors permitted in any one visit, IMO.

MissMrs! I've been asking after you! Congratulations! I gave up TTC naturally at the 14 month mark and flew away for IVF. It felt a horribly long time to try for a baby..but you did it!

eskimo I love walking dead - binge watched all the episodes and am now caught up. I cant even watch the previews as I don't want spoilers.

Woke up to a puppy poo explosion. Yuk! Wish we had a garden. We rely on taking him out for walks, and puppy mats. It works, but I'd love for us all to have some more room.

Hmmm. I've had 4 days now of flashing smileys. Is that meant to happen? Maybe I started OPKs too soon. We've kept up the spermz supply though and I'm a lot more relaxed about it.

Today I'm meant to catch up with the girl that baby bombed me. I'm not sure how I feel about it. One of those people that didn't want to get pregnant, shagged multiple guys and wouldn't know what an opk was. Not being judgemental, but I just feel a bit . We'll see how I feel later. Want a morning in my pyjamas first.

purds I really want to read more about Alan Turing now and the full story behind the movie. I might have to check out the library and see if they have anything.

Purdey, in my hospital they do cap the number of visitors at one time and no children unless they are your own. Tis a good idea I think

missmrs awesom :) so pleased for you! After 14 months, that gives hope. Will definitely be keeping fingers crossed for a sticky bean. Do tell the story if this month, I shall be sitting comfortably airing to hear what you did to get up duffed-ed.

sparkly loved the conversation with your nephew. I have similar conversations with one of my friends kids. Never end well...

sammy why do people think it's ok to ask if you are going to try for a baby? How do people not think it might be a stupid question?? Friends of ours keep asking too. I'm 36 FFS do they not realise that it's probably the ONLY thing on my mind? And that I know time is no longer on my side?

Oh and on alan Turing I love the idea that the apple logo may be a tribute to him. I always hoped it was even if the apple people have denied it.

Cd27 here and 11dpo eek!! No symptoms other than a few cramps lots of cm (sorry probably tmi for this time of the day) I'm guessing AF is on it's way. Still having these horrible hot flushes but I've got a cough too so defiantly coming down with the lurgy

Purdey I agree! Our hospital said 2 but there were more there was a family room for visitors to see new mums in but everyone always crowds round the beds.
