Oh Goodness, how exciting! Congratulations Grizzer and Annie!!Thanks Thanks
I have everything crossed that this thread will be the lucky charm for everyone.

I decided to go to a Zumba class last night. I've been stressing about how much exercise I should continue with, but also don't want to lose the fitness I've worked hard to get,and I am sure being fit will help me cope with pregnancy. Anyway, A lady stood next to me in the class, and I got a whiff of her post-cigarette smoking nastiness. Yuck! I felt quite sick. I have also noticed a metallic taste has started up. This is all good news for me.

I am not so nervous about a chemical anymore,as I looked over my notes, and with the last pregnancy I had the tests never got darker. They stayed light and eventually disappeared, so I actually new all along it wouldn't be successful. At 16 dpo (today) my test line is as dark as it should be Grin

I am not going to test anymore (famous last words!) as I just want to take each day at a time and repeat,"for today I am pregnant" until I am not anymore - which will be about Jan 12th.Like you Grizzer, I will also say,'I'm having a baby". Smile

Yay, grizzer & Annie! Fab news on your BFPs!!

fromwesttoeast · 07/05/2015 06:32

Congratulations Annie and Grizzer! The magic vitamins!!
I would also recommend morning dtd as that seems to work for me too.

joey38 · 07/05/2015 07:14

Wow - 2 more bfps. How exciting!! Am I right in thinking that we now have 4 up duffers on here - cloud, gum, grizzer and annie? Have I missed anyone? Would be good to get some stats from those 4: age, time ttc, supplements taken etc. I hope you keep us updated with progress.

I'm cd25 - af due on Sunday. I'm partly tempted to test after all these success stories, but I hate it so much. For me the sight of that single line is far more depressing than af arriving. Also I feel like af is on her way - tender boobs, slight cramping, so I'm sure it would be a bfn.

notsoold · 07/05/2015 09:00

grizzer and annie congratulations!!! I really like to see all these names with a bfp !!!

ICallHimGerald · 07/05/2015 09:54

Wow more bfps! Congratulations grizzer and annie

10000Fireflies · 07/05/2015 10:19

Another one?? Congrats Annie!

AnnieHoo · 07/05/2015 12:34

Thanks everyone. Stunned after chemical with IVF in Feb. I think the HRT pills may have given me a boost! One day at a time. Please nature let this be a random good egg!

10000Fireflies · 07/05/2015 15:49

That's how it works out sometimes Annie. DS was conceived the month after 2nd failed IVF cycle. My Mum is convinced the IVF kick-started my ovaries into functioning generally!! Fingers crossed for you too that this is a good egg too!!

Am feeling mightily pre-menstrual here. Not good with more than eight days to go. I wonder who I will fall out with this time!! Grin

Hope all BFPs are sticky and all going well with the more established pregnancies too. Here's to some more BFPs soon. Wine

jassS · 07/05/2015 20:41

Clusterbfp time! It must be the spring, but does not explain Gum, as it is autumn down under!
Congrats again!

Grizzer, no, was not insensitive at all! It is just that the bloody reproductive immunology is only taking its first steps these years, until they figure all out we will be 60! So, even if diagnosing and theories are getting good, treatments do not follow yet!

joey38 · 07/05/2015 21:04

Did anyone else think grrrrrr when Kate Middleton just had her second baby? Prince George is younger than my DS and she already has another one. I couldn't help being grumpy at the royal baby news!!

10000Fireflies · 07/05/2015 23:07

More than, joey!!

Gumblossom · 07/05/2015 23:21

Joey, it does seem so unfair doesn't it? It really gets under my skin when I see mums, who don't seem to be very happy with the children they have and they get accidentally pregnant over and over again.

I do try to keep those feelings at bay because I am sure there are women who look at me, and think it is unfair that I was easily able to have five kids. If this pregnancy progresses, I imagine I will have to fend off all sorts of jokes and unnecessary comments about whether I should be having another baby - particularly at this time of my life.

However, I have woken up with absolutely no breast tenderness, so I am feeling a bit worried. I keep hoping they will hurt, I keep poking, but they just don't feel very sore at all. I know there are fluctuations, but I can't help feeling bad about it.

Nothing to do but wait Sad

How exciting with all these bfps. Congratulations Annie and Grizzer! Fingers crossed for some more soon too.

Gumblossom · 08/05/2015 09:37

Well, I've made it through my second milestone: 4+3. And (thank the Gods) Biscuit Biscuit s are sore again, and I've had a very strong metallic taste all day. Hurray!

I'm now home, sat in front of the fire with a nice pom juice and mineral water. I really must dial dow the tea consumption. I was getting far too much caffeine, I think. So I'll drink more water instead, and pom juice for my lush, soft lining for the bean.

I heard some sad news today at work. I'd noticed one of the other teachers had been away a lot lately, so asked after her, and one of her close colleagues told me she had miscarried. Very sad for her. I didn't actually know she was pregnant, and I have no idea how far along she was. Poor thing. It really made me feel sad and worried too. I think she is late 30's/early 40's, I am not really sure.

I am trying to appreciate every tiny minute.

Hello Everyone! I've just joined Mumsnet for the first time to share the journey, ttc at 43 (soon to be 44). I have DS1 17 and DS2 12 from my first marriage. Sadly MC last wknd, stupidly did not realise I was 8w PG, all signs were there (sore boobs, tiredness) but put it down to peri-menopause symptoms. Diagnosed high FSH 2012, told postmeno by GP! Continued with AF so didn't quite believe that. Now trying to be positive and do everything to support new PG in appt at Fertility Clinic coming up. Fingers crossed and good luck to all!

MamaLazarou · 08/05/2015 11:40

Hello! I am 39 and a three-quarters, may I join you please? Have been ttc #2 for 18 months now, with two MCs in the last year.

I am TOTALLY going to get up the duff this month.

loveandluck - sorry for your loss and best of luck to you.

Loveandluck · 08/05/2015 11:51

I like your positive thinking MamaLazarou!

Thanks and sorry to hear about your losses too.

SeeWotHappens · 08/05/2015 12:04

Wow, so many BFPs. Congratulations Gum, Cloud, Annie and Grizzer!!!!

I haven't been posting but have been lurking and so just checking in. I'm 8+1 today. Taking each day as it comes but each one is a small milestone.

Big hello to all you newcomers.

cloudjumper · 08/05/2015 12:55

Welcome loveandluck and mamaLazarou! Good luck to both of you to get your BFPs quickly and that they stick! I've also had numerous mcs, it is so heartbreaking.

Well done for getting through the first milestone, gum, may many more follow.

joey I was more sad than angry at the Royal baby... But nothing compared to when Prince George was born, which was the EDD of my first mcs. That was just awful. But yes, they seem to have it so easy (well, that's not entirely fair, I know, Kate had HG, and being pregnant in the public eye can't be pleasant!). But then again, we will never know what goes on behind the scenes... I doubt they would ever announce if they had a miscarriage or the likes.

I'm feeling reassuringly nauseous. Was quite spectacularly sick on Tuesday, in which I am taking strange comfort Grin. And I am absolutely ravenous all the time, which is also a pg symptom for me. Typically, I just joined Slimming World a few weeks ago! They let you sty when you're pg, however, with this appetite, I am going to struggle keeping the weight at bay. Salad leaves with a bit of protein just don't cut it, I am craving carbs and fat Confused.
Currently trying to get hold of either the midwife or the EPU, to try and arrange a scan for 8 weeks. No luck with either so far. And the GP won't do it - they leave it all pg stuff to the midwives, very frustrating.

jassS · 08/05/2015 21:34

Welcome new ones and good our pg ladies are foing strong!

Grizzer · 08/05/2015 22:05

Welcome newbies. We are on a bit of a bfp roll here so maybe it will rub off!
Thank you for all the congrats.
I'm in panic mode at the moment. I just want Sunday out of the way which is when AF is/was due. I'm going to test tomorrow to see if line is getting darker. I've got all sorts of twinges & pains going on which I'm hoping is baby settling in rather than anything else.
A girl in my class was sent home today with suspected chicken pox. I was helping her with some maths yesterday lunch time so have been in close proximity to her. I had it when I was young so hopefully won't get it again but it did make me slightly nervous.
I'm going to phone epu on Monday. Very early days but when I was there for last mc they said to call them as soon as I was pg again because there are things they can do to help. Worth a try.
I'm also boob prodding Gum even though that's never really been one of my symptoms. Just desperately looking for signs that things are ok.

jassS · 09/05/2015 11:20

Grizzer, once you have had your chickenpox you should not worry about getting it again! So try to relax, or maybe not, because of course then you will find something else to worry about! It is never ending story!

I went for lining check yesterday to see whether it has grown back nicely after to eprcs. Was OK, 9mm, I think credible effort for wtf cycle:-)

Grizzer · 10/05/2015 20:59

Well ladies, I have spent the day staring at toilet paper & I am pleased to confirm I have survived AF being due & am officially late Grin lots of twinges & tingles so I hope baby is making itself comfortable. I am having a blood test on Wednesday to give me some peace of mind that everything is going ok & then I'll try to allow myself to start relaxing (or not...)
How is everyone else doing? Hope you've all been enjoying some warmish weather over the weekend.

cloudjumper · 10/05/2015 22:23

Glad to hear that you are now officially pregnant Grizzer Grin Try not to worry too much about the chickenpox, the chances of getting it again are very slim, once you have had it.

I have felt awful with tiredness and sickness all week, and this weekend was even worse. DH is going to be away until Wednesday, and I am dreading the fact that I will have to get DS ready all by myself.
I have managed to arrange a scan for the 17th - I will be 7+6, so anything I will see (or won't see) should be pretty definite. This will be my first milestone - with my first 3 mcs, there was bad news at the 8-week scan. The head-in-the-sand strategy is not working so well anymore... Scanxiety is setting in, and it will only get worse. Wish that I could fast-forward to, say, 36 weeks, sigh.
