Fromwest, I am so sorry to hear your news. I've been away from the net for a bit, and I am just so sorry to hear that you are going through this again.I hope the medical management is smooth. I will be thinking of you.

Seewot - glad to hear your tests are strong. That's a good sign.

Grizzer, I am glad to hear you had a nice holiday. I have to return to work tomorrow and I'm not really in the mood. I fancy doing what I've been doing the last couple of weeks: Lots of exercise, time to cook healthy, yummy food, time to laze, read, knit and watch Netflicks Hmm and having the energy for sex.

I used my first digi opk this morning. It was negative, but it's day 12, so any day now (over the next ten days!) I should get a smiley face. I look forward to it. Having read recently that semen may be important in assisting implantation ( the theory is that it has antioxidants, I think), I am going to strive to continue having regular sex, even after the smiley face...But once we are back at work and the kids are back into their extra curricula stuff, it might be a pipe dream!

I am making my "treasure map" today (see link for details). I know it sounds very "Woo", but I do it for fun, and it is surprising what has manifested from my previous maps; anyway, the funny thing is, this year I can't really think of anything much that I want to put on my map, I am drawn to images of pregnancy and new babies. Sigh...I do put something on my map every year about it, but alas...I do get pregnant, but can't seem to go the whole 9 months (perhaps I will put that on the map somewhere Smile). I will put some other stuff other: nice tropical holidays, stuff for the house, health and fitness stuff. Sometimes things manifest in the oddest ways. One year I put an image of a tropical island paradise, a few months into the year my SIL offered us a holiday she's paid for, on a tropical island, but she couldn't take it: so we did. We did have to pay for part of it, but it was very affordable, something I didn't think we could afford.Maybe just coincidence, but I like the fun aspect and the "dreaming" part of it.

So that's what I am up to today, plus a yoga class, and some gardening in the sunshine for a bit of Vit D.

Seewot, congrats on 3+ on digi and right on time, too! I do not think you can mc 6+2 with such a nice quick beta rise, so everything seems looking hopeful for now!

SeeWotHappens · 19/04/2015 06:46

Thanks for the encouraging words ladies. Jass, yes, I'm hoping that too.

Grizzer, i would love an early scan but I think they're quite expensive. I must admit I haven't really looked into it in much detail though. It does seem an awfully long time until 12 weeks though, another 7 weeks of worrying. Worry- the curse of pregnancy after mc! I'll see how it goes. I know that DH won't be keen on private scan. Money a bit tight at the moment.

I bit the bullet and booked an appointment with the GP. I said I would wait this time until 7 weeks but things can be very slow in this area and I want to get the ball rolling in case things do work out. Appointment booked for thurs.

fromwesttoeast · 19/04/2015 06:51

That's great news SeeWot. When I lurked around the November pg thread I noticed a 43 year old on there, she has made it to 12 weeks (probably due end oct/ early nov) with a perfect scan.
Every good news story give me hope.

2boys2girls · 19/04/2015 07:14

Good luck ladies I was 42 when i had my last, few of my friends had their babies in their 40s (43plus ) one being 46 with her 2nd, x

cloudjumper · 19/04/2015 08:03

Morning, ladies.
Remember, a few weeks ago, I was all woe is me about messing up the dtd timing? Well, it's CD12 today, and af is a no show, so I poas. It's a BFP Shock
I had written this month off. Instead I'll be calling the doctors tomorrow.

fromwesttoeast · 19/04/2015 09:10

Yeah!!GrinGrinGrin

ozmund · 19/04/2015 09:24

Fromwest I am really sorry to hear your news. I am glad they will be offering you an earlier scan next time and hope they will be able to monitor you closely so that you get your baby. x

Congratulations Cloudjumper Smile

10000Fireflies · 19/04/2015 09:34

Wow Cloud!! Congratulations!! Keeping everything crossed for you, and also you, SeeWot . Waving some pom-poms for you both and hoping for some more BFPs on here soon too.

SeeWotHappens · 19/04/2015 09:47

Congratulations Cloud!!! Lovely news. Keep us posted!

Grizzer · 19/04/2015 16:31

Congratulations cloud. I love the stories of the times when we really don't think it could possibly happen & then it happens. Everything is doubly crossed now x

cloudjumper · 19/04/2015 17:08

Fromwest - hope it went as smoothly as possible today, and that you're back home and getting some rest.

Thanks all for your well wishes. I'm in denial, if anything. Trying to get my head around dates etc. - sadly, my reaction to a BFP these days is 'when will I be 8 weeks to get the first scan, how could I work around it all, if it goes wrong again...' Sad No elated joy, just apprehensiveness. It's sad that I will never have a happy pregnancy again...

ICallHimGerald · 19/04/2015 19:28

cloud fantastic news!

ICallHimGerald · 19/04/2015 19:32

I know what you mean about not having a happy pregnancy. It's one of the things that makes me insanely jealous. Some women don't even think about a miscarriage. With ds I could never believe that I would actually take a baby home. Never washed newborn clothes before he was born in case I had to take them back. Didn't even take the pram out the box until I was back from hospital. So hoping this works out for you.

fromwesttoeast · 19/04/2015 19:42

The worry with pregnancy is so tough. Just insanely stressful actually. But it's worth it, just to have that chance of it working out.
Sadly not going well for me here. They are keeping me in hospital overnight as I'm passing too much blood and clots but no sac yet.
Missing my 3 year old ds so bad.

notsoold · 19/04/2015 19:48

Cloud congratulations!!!xx

jassS · 19/04/2015 20:36

Ouch, fromwest, so its medical management not surgical.... Thats uncomfortable. Hope you get out from hosp tomorrow at least!

jassS · 19/04/2015 20:37

And special congrats to Cloud! So wonky post-ov temperatures may not mean anything bad, after all! best luck! getting that bfp is the first step on the long ladder to climb, but you are on the ladder now!

fromwesttoeast · 19/04/2015 20:50

Yes Jass. I chose medical. I had it in 2013 and it was very effective. This time not so easy. They think I've lost too much blood. So after telling me to keep walking to get things moving they are telling me to lie down. It's not too painful. But just so tedious. I've been in this room for nearly 12 hours.
Note to self: don't choose medical management again.

flotillas · 19/04/2015 21:31

fromwest, I am sorry to hear about your miscarriage and I hope the rest of this procedure is swift and effective. How awful. Thanks

Cloudjumper, wow! Congratulations to you Thanks May I be cheeky and ask you for your stats, ie what supps you are on/how often you dtd and when. Is that too intrusive? Blush I would also love to see your chart, if that would be okay? What wonderful news Smile

I am 5dpo and it's so boring at this stage of the 2ww. I can't help kicking myself that we didn't dtd the day after ovulation this month, but we had sex six days out of seven and I was getting a bit sore Blush

Nemosdaughter · 19/04/2015 21:36

Brilliant news cloud but understand your joy will be mixed with anxiety.

Ok folks, I really don't want to drive you as crazy as I am driving myself but could I have implantation cramping 5dpo? I think I OVed on Tuesday pm, I "BD" (home insemination) on Sunday (too early) and Weds (probably too late!). But I am going mad with all sorts of silly made-up symptoms like a crampy feeling today that could be - could it be? - implantation if, if, if...

Due to finances and trying to time the pregnancy so I would have some support as a single mum, I can only try this month and at the end of 2015 this year so I'm pretty invested in believing in my mad "symptoms". I don't know if I'll be able to be more rational if y'all tell me it's too early though!

reni1 · 19/04/2015 21:37

Congratulations, Cloud, fabulous news! Whose ff chart can I snoop on now?

ChewyGiraffe · 19/04/2015 22:32

Cloud - Well done you! Many congratulations - I hope you'll start to relax into your pregnancy as time goes by.

I scrolled back to remind myself what you meant about messing up your timing. I found your chart posted 13th April, and post on 14th"... there is no way that I might be pregnant with this dtd timing ..." - lol! What a very lovely surprise then!

ChewyGiraffe · 19/04/2015 22:44

Fromwest - thinking of you, hope you're out of hospital soon. I had medical management last August and the whole thing was pretty grim, so I sympathise with what you're going through.

cloudjumper · 19/04/2015 23:32

fromwest Oh, how rubbish that it's not going well! Medical management can be a hit & miss - I've had it twice, without any problems, but it is so unpredictable! Really hope that things get going soon, and that the bleeding stops. Having to stay in hospital is bad in the best of times, but worse in situations like this. Do ask for adequate pain relief! And maybe something to help you sleep?

flotillas Not intrusive at all - I'm 43, one DS (nearly 4) and have been trying for no.2 since summer 2012. Four miscarriages, and I can't believe I'm going to have another go at this...
I had been taking folic acid, omegas, CoQ10 and DHEA, but stopped in towards the end of Feb (apart from the folic acid and omega) because I was getting worried the supplements were messing up my cycles. So this cycle, only FA and omegas. No idea if that had anything to do with it.
Every time I have fallen pg, it has been when we dtd the day before and on the day I ovulated. I've been know to fall pg when dtd once (that was on OV day)! This time, we dtd 3 days in the run-up to ov (I was expecting to ovulate earlier than I then did) and stopped 1 day before OV (because I felt I was getting a uti).
And since then, my temps have been all over the place, completely random!

Yes, the worrying is already starting. I've got a backache now and am stressing. Think I really need to go to sleep. Have to call the GP tomorrow, so that I can get my meds started. And they are awful for getting appointments...
