Morning everyone. Feeling a bit confused here. CD 15 and not sure whether I've ovulated yet. Thought I had ewcm three days ago but it's only been watery since. Does that happen to anyone else? Should I hold out hope that ov might still happen? Last cycle temps indicated that ov happened on CD17 but this time they are all over the shop due to broken sleep so not much help. Also got a negative opk yesterday (first time I'd used one).

We've dtd on CDs 9,11,12 and 14 so I'm thinking to carry on over the weekend and hopefully if/when I do ovulate it will have been well timed!

nightandthelight · 26/03/2015 08:18

Don't worry about these things Roo, just keep dtd and you will be fine :) I am not tracking anything this month (took me a while to work out what CD I was), just making sure to dtd at least every other day :) As long as you are doing that it won't matter when you ovulate.

MelonMelon · 26/03/2015 08:20

Same here Im CD20 and never got a positive opk (not wasting my money next cycle!) But we've been DTD every other day or every 3 days so we've got it covered. DTD is the most important thing!

spinningirl10 · 26/03/2015 08:55

Morning Smile

Another one on cd10 here, hoping to get a positive opk tomorrow so will dtd tonight, tomorrow and Saturday hopefully!

I agree, don't worry about the opks, if you're having plenty of sex you'll be okSmile

DizzyNorthernBird · 26/03/2015 08:58

Morning all, missed you all yesterday. Will catch up on the gossip later.

Feeling massively fed up today. I think I'm probably out for April! So after dtd on Monday, DP was too tired on Tuesday and then last night we had a massive argument so neither of us was particularly in the mood. Then this morning I got my massive temp rise Sad. The last three months we've dtd two days before ov and I was desperately wanting to do it on the actual day this time around. So I doubt I'll get lucky this time. Ugh.

Hope everyone else is well.

nightandthelight · 26/03/2015 09:01

Dtd on Monday for ov on Wednesday still gives you a chance Dizzy! Can you dtd today just in case egg is still lingering?

DizzyNorthernBird · 26/03/2015 09:06

Not sure night, I thought there was no point after temp rise? Is it not too late? I can't until tonight anyway as I'm working today.

nightandthelight · 26/03/2015 09:10

Not sure I'm afraid Dizzy, can't hurt though!

tessiegirl · 26/03/2015 09:23

Morning!! CD16 here...we dtd this morning as DH was feeling a bit better so I'm pleased. You are right, Sparkly, we do sometimes over analyse these things but it gets so confusing when the best time to dtd is and should you hold off a couple of days for the spermies to be better...ugh!!! Confused

DizzyNorthernBird · 26/03/2015 09:28

Just texted DP to explain why I was fed up this morning, he says he wouldn't want Christmas baby anyway as he's a Christmas baby (29th) and he hates it and wouldn't want to put that on his child!!! Oh well, that just shows its not just us ladies who over analyse!

DizzyNorthernBird · 26/03/2015 09:29

Sorry for whinging/me post Blush

tessiegirl · 26/03/2015 09:32

Thank you again Laura for info regarding b vits!! I'm going to look into buying these as spotting before AF may be an issue for me too - although spotting normally starts around 10/11dpo so that would still be long enough for egg to implant, wouldn't it? Confused

DizzyMerry so pleased you got your smiley!! Yes, keep going until the weekend!!

Babybump Woohoo for ov!!! Grin

Fx for you creme hope the time goes quickly for you

roo I have read about some ladies having EWCM a week before they ov so there is still time for you to definitely. Keep doing the opks but as others have said as long as you are dtd regularly then the opks don't matter. Ha!! She says!! Blush

Dizzy even though you got a temp rise this morning it may not mean you have definitely ovd yet - it may be a fluke temp? Until you see a sustained temp rise you can't be sure ov has happened so you could still be in with a chance for sure!!

Southy, how did the interview go yesterday??

DizzyMerry · 26/03/2015 10:11

Tessie I have read that b vitamins are good for balancing the hormones so should overall be helpful for ttc. They are also said to alleviate pms. Definitely worth trying. I am taking b complex this cycle. Glad your DH is better and you managed to dtd
Dizzy it's good to come on here to let off steam as everyone is supportive. Glad you had a convo with DP and you both know how each of you are feeling. Sometimes DP's/DH's do have things going on within themselves but won't say without prompting. It affects my DH a lot more than I gave him credit for

spinningirl10 · 26/03/2015 10:16

I phoned the hospital yesterday and left a message asking what happens next. We've had all our tests and I've had a scan so I'm thinking we might get an appointment to discuss results. Hopefully they'll return my call today. Hoping I can get some more info on dp's sperm. I know the count was low but what other info should I be asking for?
I've posted this on the March bus as well.

spinningirl10 · 26/03/2015 10:18

Tessie, yay for dtd this morningSmile

Dizzy, sorry you're feeling you've missed your chance. I would try and dtd sometime in the next 24 hours just incase.

laurasdream · 26/03/2015 10:21

Tessie I found this online regarding B6

A lot of women have reported a lengthened luteal phase after supplementing with B6. This may have been caused by the hormonal balancing effect B6 has on the body. B6 can be found in tuna, bananas, turkey, liver, salmon and many of the greens. Taking a B6 supplement is also another choice. Suggested usage is 50mg up to 100mg daily. Make sure to use B6 in conjunction with a B complex or multivitamin to avoid causing imbalances. natural-fertility-info.com/luteal-phase-defect.html

laurasdream · 26/03/2015 10:35

Sparkly From reading online, it seems that luteal phase defect & spotting before AF is more widely recognised as being problematic in the USA, but there is less emphasis put on it's effect on fertility here. It is important to say though that I don't have spotting pre AF. I have red light bleeding for 2/3 days, then it progressed to a heavier flow. Women can & do get pregnant with spotting.

During one of my GP appointments I told the doc that I was bleeding every month on 9dpo & if I am lucky 10dpo & it was just brushed off...so I said to the doc...Okay, when does implantation occur? She replied, oh typically at 10dpo it can occur earlier, or later. I then pointed out that I have my period when implantation is supposed to occur & it finally seemed to click with her... Hmm. The GP can't give me progesterone, so I have to wait to see the fertility doc. Fx the fertility doc recognises my lp issues!

laurasdream · 26/03/2015 10:42

Spinning* I hope they get back to you soon! Nothing worse than having tests done & having so many unanswered questions. My DH had a sperm test last year, that was normal, but the doc said to DTD every 3 days if possible, as sperm will be well replenished & functioning at their optimum.

DizzyMerry · 26/03/2015 10:52

Spinning from the info I was given at the hospital a few years ago I remember that as well as sperm count, the motility (ability of sperm to move forward) and morphology (% of normal shaped sperm) is important. I hope the hospital get back to you with the results. Also, I would arrange an appointment to discuss the results and next steps. Good luck

nightandthelight · 26/03/2015 11:09

Just saw a heavily pregnant lady and wanted to scream at her 'I want your baby'!

frogbubbles · 26/03/2015 11:10

Hey lovelies, hope there's room for a little one on here. Started spotting last night so looks like the dreaded AF in en route.

Stats: FB, 33, ttc2, C2, AF due 23/4

dizzylemon · 26/03/2015 11:18

Having gone through some health issues in Jan/Feb I'm ready to get back on this!

32, ttc #1, cycle 9, due 18th April

I have a 50 day cycle now :o. Ultrasound said my uterus is in good shape and my ovary (right one got removed after ginormo cyst on it) looks a 'bit polycystic; so doctor concluded I was a 'bit polycystic' Hmm and symptoms can be controlled by what I'm already doing (exercise, a diet that's wise and a bit of diddlydum ;) ). But yeah, don't know what to think of that except just to carry on s*ing :D

spinningirl10 · 26/03/2015 11:19

Thanks merry and Laura, I have written that downSmile

Laura, doc doesn't sound very helpful at all, fx for the fertility specialist.

nightandthelight · 26/03/2015 11:21

Another Dizzy! Brain gives up Grin fx for you, great news that you are back on the wagon!

DizzyMerry · 26/03/2015 11:27

Another dizzy Shock welcome! We'll all be dizzy after this!!!
