Welcome roobanya! X

mummyofonesofar · 20/03/2015 09:02

The shift should be between 2 temps one after the other not just 2 temps in the chart. Sorry Sammy I'm not sure

DizzyNorthernBird · 20/03/2015 09:04

Welcome roobanya!

Re the long wait for testing on ff, if it follows the same principle as toni weschlers fam (it probably does) then you're supposed to see a sustained shift of 16 (I think, or possibly 18) raised temps to confirm pregnancy, if you weren't testing by other means or getting bfns when testing etc.

DizzyNorthernBird · 20/03/2015 09:22

mummy I might be wrong but I didn't think the rise had to be all in one go? The ff guidance mentions different types of patterns such as a 'slow rise' or 'staircasing' where the temp increases over several days? (correct me if I'm wrong though as I'm no expert!) ff still confirmed ov for me last month even though my temps never got much higher than 0.2 above the pre ov temps.... Surely it wouldn't confirm ov if my temps didn't get high enough? Jeez this is confusing at times!

mummyofonesofar · 20/03/2015 09:46

I must have missed that in the FF articles Dizzy - more than happy to be wrong. Think we need Dr Pudey!

Re testing date - Maybe I will try to wait until FF tells me to test as had a 18 day LP (impossible I know) last month and wasted so many tests....

Sweets27 · 20/03/2015 10:09

Hi Roobanya, welcome! I've added your stats to the list.

Just checking in quickly from a busy morning at work - hope everyone is doing well this fine Friday. I think I'm done with the DTD-athon this month and heading into the tww... boring.....

TrixieRay · 20/03/2015 10:42

Happy Friday! Very disappointed about the so called Eclipse in London...couldn't see anything through all the pollution.

Cariad, hope you're feeling better today. What better time for ov to fall than on your birthday, hope you have something fun planned (other than DTD of course!)

Victoria, I have everything crossed for you!

Merry, glad you enjoyed your first reflexology session. It's crazy what they can tell just from your feet isn't it.

Welcome Roobanya Smile

Sweets I will be joining you in the dreaded 2ww soon.

Operation 'get as many swimmers up there as possible' has commenced so I'll be keeping a low profile over the weekend. We have an IVF consultation on Monday - if that doesn't tempt fate I don't know what will.

Have a lovely weekend everyone.

DizzyNorthernBird · 20/03/2015 11:27

In the nicest way mummy I hope you are wrong, otherwise I've got serious issues ha ha.

An 18 day lp? Do you think you ov'd later than indicated or could it have been a cp?

mummyofonesofar · 20/03/2015 11:38

Dizzy I was testing like a mad person from 5dpo and all BFPs so wasn't a cp. I wasn't using opks which didn't help but I did have a good rise (but my room was cold on ov day dip - temp is a empty circle but only taken 5 mins outside my normal window. It was very odd as my cycles are around 27-28 days but had a 36 day cycle! - My chart this month and last

BananaRaces · 20/03/2015 12:00

Hello ladies! Can I have a seat on the bus please? I got booted off the March bus a few days ago but have been feeling a bit negative so didn't join the April bus straight away.

I am now feeling a bit more positive and have decided to pull my socks up and bloomin well get on with it. I've got a hospital appointment next week to talk to the consultant about my polyps so FX for that. I might be a bit quiet on the bus as I'm trying not to get too stressed out about it at the moment. But I still want to be a part of this bus! So, here are my stats:

BananaRaces, 31, TTC #1, Cycle 4, BFP due 12th April.

DizzyNorthernBird · 20/03/2015 12:07

How long is your lp normally? Apparently this is always the same and will never change. That is a good rise last month. Very strange. Temping is a blessing in some ways but boy does it open up a whole new realm of questions!

I've just spent a while researching charts, nowhere can I find one similar to mine! Even if I search for progesterone deficiency + no meds. My supposed lp is a good length and I'm sure I don't have any symptoms to indicate low progesterone, so I'm now clinging onto to hope I've just got a dicky thermometer - - unlike last night where I'd convinced myself my thyroid was on the blink-- WinkGrin

mummyofonesofar · 20/03/2015 12:24

Dizzy Maybe just a duff thermometer then. Yeah a very weird month - it was my first month temping so no idea what my normal LP is, normally get ov pains around CD15-16 with a 27-28 day cycle so I would guess 12 day LP for me. Going on this it is possible that I ov'd on CD24 (it had been a stressful month) there is a rise but of less than 0.2

mummyofonesofar · 20/03/2015 12:25

Banana I have added you to the stats. Good luck

DizzyMerry · 20/03/2015 12:30

Welcome roobanya and banana. Sorry AF got you banana but fx this is your month. It is disheartening when we're faced with disappointment month after month but I find the buses keep me going as we're all here for the same reason and to support each other along the way.
trixie fx tightly crossed for you. We conceived naturally a month after IVF consultation so hopefully this is your lucky month
sparkly nice to see you. Hope you're ok

nightandthelight · 20/03/2015 12:37

We are cycle buddies banana, fx 12th April is a lucky day for both of us :)

BananaRaces · 20/03/2015 13:12

Thanks mummy and Dizzy the more fingers that are crossed the better I think. Smile

Hi night, I think I remember your lovely self from another bus. I feel good about the 12th now! Grin

nightandthelight · 20/03/2015 13:35

I have a good feeling about it banana :)

pulpi · 20/03/2015 14:05

AF hit me last night, so I've been kicked off the March bus. Not a lot of hope for this coming month, but as there's no harm in trying...

the stats: pulpi, 32, ttc #1, cycle 4, BFP due 21ish April

Mumof1sofar · 20/03/2015 14:14

Hi all! Please may I join? So after saying just a couple of days ago that I wouldn't try this month as I wasn't sure I wanted a Xmas baby I have now decided that I def do not want a month off so here I am! I recognise lots of 'faces' from the March bus. Let's hope April is lucky for us all Smile

Stats are:

Age 32, ttc#2, cycle 2, bfp due 15th April.

I'n going to try using opks this month & I've bought a pack of cheapy ones from amazon. Please can someone advise when in my cycle its best to start using them? Tia.

DizzyMerry · 20/03/2015 14:15

Welcome and sorry AF got you pulpi. There is every chance this could be your month so hold on to that thought

spinningirl10 · 20/03/2015 14:19

Hi, sorry to those of you who af got but this is the Christmas baby bus and it's gonna be choka block with bfps Smile

Mum, I would start from cd 8/9. Do you have an idea when you ov? You need to test twice a day. 11am ish and 5pm ish. If the line is getting Darker then maybe another later test, say 10pmSmile

DizzyMerry · 20/03/2015 14:22

Welcome mummy you have made the right decision for yourself and fx this will be the month.
I have no idea when I ovulate so and previous months opks didn't pick up a positive. I will start using them from cd10 this month. Previously I was using them from cd8 because I was paranoid I'd miss my surge but there's no way I'd be ovulating that early. I'm sure most people start using them from cd10

spinningirl10 · 20/03/2015 14:31

Merry, I'm a poas~a~holic so I start from cd 8/9 but I do get a positive on cd10/11. Smile

DizzyMerry · 20/03/2015 14:38

That makes sense then spinning as you ovulate earlier. I'm sure from ttc #1 I was ovulating around day 17. I'm paranoid again now so will start from tonight just to be sure.
Also do you do opks twice a day? What times? I only did it once around 2.00pm so maybe I just missed my surge

Mumof1sofar · 20/03/2015 14:47

Thank you spinning & dizzy. Great, I'll start on cd8 or 9 then as my last cycle was only 24 days. I'm currently on cd3. This af is only my 2nd one since my periods returned (dc1 is 10 Michael) so I'm not even sure I am ovulating.
