I'm having sweet potato and lentil curry with spinach but I love chicken pie and now I want that!

I think lots of teachers plan when they'd like a baby but of course when They get started they realise you can't plan everything!

loopylou1984 · 04/03/2015 16:32

Woah that's a lot of posts!
Hope everyone is ok?

I've been stuck in a miserable place inside my own head feeling like a failure as a wife and woman again hence being pretty much absent - but the cloud is starting to lift a bit, hoping you ladies can cheer me up!

I'm having chilli con carne with baked potato tonight, mmmmm! Xx

gennibugs · 04/03/2015 16:37

afternoon all

trixie hello. hope all good your end except pmt - ugh. Sad

juney sorry to hear about plan c. Fx plan d comes your way asap

I remember mama. She was lovely. She was one of the first people (along with spinning) to give me a warm welcome all those months ago. I'm sorry she has not yet got her bfp. I often wonder about her and about choccy too and if they got their long awaited bfps.

chicken pie sounds yum - we have homemade pizza is it wrong that I'm so excited Grin

gennibugs · 04/03/2015 16:40

Oh and re planning - that went out the window after about 3 months. first I wanted a baby by Christmas, then before I was 34 and now with all those long gone, I'd just like one full stop. Any month will do me! I'm not fussy. Grin

hi sammy sorry you're feeling low. You're not a failure and you will get there x

tessiegirl · 04/03/2015 16:58

Sammy I second what genni says, you are NOT a failure. Here, have some Flowers, I hope they make you smile

I don't even care if I gave birth in December near Christmas or July/August anymore...really not important

Sounds as though you had a fab time away Heir, where did you go? Fx for the very well timed dtd!

Oooh chicken, bacon and leek pie sounds scrummy Purdey What will you have with it? Nosey....

Lulabelle2212 · 04/03/2015 17:07

Afternoon ladies, we're having vegetable & chorizo lasagne (recipe from Good Food magazine) as it's packed full of good stuff apparently. I don't really like chorizo but my poor DH (who loves it) is being expected to, ahem, perform AGAIN tonight. He has a really stressful job & I do feel bad for pouncing on him all the time or trying to schedule a pouncing in!

Nomio230 · 04/03/2015 17:18

Afternoon lovely ladies.

sammy, you are most definitely not a failure. I know how much it knocks your confidence when it is taking a long time, but you are a lovely person and you will get your baby. Flowers

We are having cubed potatoes roasted with garlic & herbs. I have pulled pork for DH & Quorn burgers for me & some nice veggies. Not eaten much today & I am starting to get really hungry.

Sparkly123 · 04/03/2015 17:21

Spinning yeh should be alright shouldn't it? Did they tell you a timeframe in cycle you should have the scan?

Knitfast same predicament here! We have done six days in a row cd10-15 as now cd16 I'm thinking we should do again tonight as per smep as I had two positive OPKs-cd13 and 14.. I'm not sure whether to do tonight and Tomor or miss tonight and do Tomor! So yeh- I can't help you but I hear your confusion!! Ha Grin I think I'm gonna have to ask dh to keep going a la Purds advice. Just not sure how long for!!!

Sparkly123 · 04/03/2015 17:23

Arhhhh Heir we wondered where you had got to!! So a lovely hol? Sounds like you are in with a Great chance this month! Fingers crossed!!! Grin

Sparkly123 · 04/03/2015 17:24

Spinning I want your dinner. Now!
I think I'm having butternut squash and spinach risotto.. Brown risotto rice Obvs. It's exciting as I've been eating mush for days now! Ha. I do love a curry! Do you use coconut milk or dairy?

nightandthelight · 04/03/2015 17:30

Baked sweet potatoes with homemade baked beans for us :)

Sparkly123 · 04/03/2015 17:31

Sammy lovely, sorry you are having a rough spell. It's an awful feeling. But you are 100% not a failure. Look at it the other way.. You are actually a very Strong lady!.. You have determination, you are not giving up.. And you obviously have faith (rightly so..) that you will get your BFP! Those are amazing qualities and you have them all.. So stay positive like we all know you can. It's coming!! BFP time for you very soon! Flowers

dojo123 · 04/03/2015 17:35

Afternoon you talkative lot!! Grin

Well no more brown cm showing when I wipe, but a few stomachy cramps. Wish my body would make up its blood mind whether I am about to have a AF or a BFP!

This even my DH and I are having Cheese and crackers! Not the most exciting dinner but we really love it. Tomorrow is going to be far more exciting as we're having homemade pasties! can take a cornish boy and girl out of cornwall but can't take the cornish out of them!

Juney Sorry Plan C sounds like a creep, I had hope he just meant that he wanted you to get him some dirty mags but now I'm assuming he wanted you to help the situation.

HeirToTheIronThrone · 04/03/2015 17:41

We went to Egypt Tessie - I am now being made sad by putting all the summer clothes back away and having to wear a proper coat after days in 28 degrees!

As we're indulging in dinner chat, we'll be having spaghetti mixed with pesto, a bit of chicken and whatever veg most needs using up (an elderly leek I think and possibly courgette) Tempted to come have dinner with some of you lot instead!

PurdeyBirdie · 04/03/2015 17:46

Sammy, you need to try and quit that kind of thinking, my love. You feel defeated because your period has arrived and all the accompanying hormones are horribly unhelpful. Try to stay positive, lovely. It will happen for you Thanks

All your teas sound yummy. Tessie, I won't be eating the pie myself, unfortunately, as the BBC Good Food recipe included six boiled eggs quartered and 'nestled between the chunks of chicken'. I would rather gouge my own eyes out than eat a boiled egg so I will be having my dark & sticky lamb & sausage stew with mash, roasties & veg. Th'usband will undoubtedly have frozen chips with his chicken pie and an indeterminable amount of Warburtons thick toastie bread Hmm

PurdeyBirdie · 04/03/2015 17:53

Heir! Hoorah! I've been asking after you and didn't realise you were on your hols. Sex every day when you're on holiday is just the best Nice to see you again, too, Victoria.

Has anyone read the 'news' today regarding the average length of a man's penis being 5.3 inches? When erect??! I honestly don't remember more than a handful of my lovers having one that small and I've been with hundreds plenty. Or does that just sound small? Perhaps they were all five inches and I was just tight-vagina'd back in the day. Or else all the drugs made them look big Hmm

PurdeyBirdie · 04/03/2015 17:55

Nomio, I honestly read that as: ..I have just pulled DH's pork. Shock

PurdeyBirdie · 04/03/2015 17:57

Sparkly, can you miss tonight and AI in the morning? I can't see all this masturbating is good for the spermz Hmm Mind you, we'll be exactly the same cum next week (see what I did there?)

Nomio230 · 04/03/2015 18:01

I will be doing later, purds!

heir, I am very jealous. It sounds like you had an amazing time & may well have come back with a special souvenir!

cremedecacao · 04/03/2015 18:01

Thanks for the commiserations about my cup of tea guys!

I was scrutinising it in different lights and at different angles (of course) and it slipped out of my hands and into my mug! Stopped me staring at it though ;)

Feeling, ahem, damp today and cervix seems a bit higher. Certainly not feeling like AF is imminent, so not out of the game yet!

Sammy don't be sad. Chilli con carne sounds like a winner! Mexican Dirty Rice here :)

PurdeyBirdie · 04/03/2015 18:01

I'm sorry for all the lavatorial humour. Can't think what's come over me (fnar).

MaMa, I also think your work sounds fascinating. You must be an absolute brainbox. Were you born in Oz? How are the soy isoflavones going?

PurdeyBirdie · 04/03/2015 18:03

Creme, have you seen our...erm...gallery of cervixes (cervii? Cerviculays?)

loopylou1984 · 04/03/2015 18:05

Thank you Sparkly - I must be feeling better, your lovely lovely post didn't make me cry Smile

I know Purdey, I was set off by a Facebook pregnancy announcement and once I started it was impossible to stop. I know it does me no good though, and you're right, I really need to stop getting like that.

I'm trying to be pro active and research the local fertility clinic. Pleasantly surprised to find the waiting list is only 4 weeks for nhs... Although to can't find anywhere how long you have to have been trying to get referred! X

Sparkly123 · 04/03/2015 18:07

Argh too late Purds he's away upstairs now!!!

Southy84 · 04/03/2015 18:16

I just wrote a long message and my damn phone lost it ahhhh it's been one of those days- going to go and have a cry/paddy in a corner Angry think AF is round the corner, get this rage just before Its due....

Totally get what you mean sammy, I'm so trying to be positive but I'm fed up of being positive, I actually debated looking for jobs in a fertility clinic today as I will probably be living in one the next few years (or that how it feels), purdey is right though it's the hormones, we can do this we will ALL get the BFPs we deserve, big hug Flowers
