while we're on the subject of dentistry, I'm sure I need to go as keep having nagging toothache but am utterly terrified of doing so. sometimes I'm sure I'm too much of baby to even contemplate having my own baby!!

PurdeyBirdie · 27/02/2015 13:13

Mummy, today's temp: was that after a three-hour block?

Sammy, you are sweet. I wasn't encouraged to menkul by any of you; I've managed that quite well for three years all by myself Hmm

Boris, were you actually dressed from the waist down this time?

Amy, I would suggest a 5dpo bfp is largely impossible. If folks do get them I would tentatively suggest they (or FF) have erroneously pinpointed ovulation. It takes anything up to five days for the fertilised egg to be transported down the fallopian tube to the uterus. It then begins to implant around 7-10 dpo, with HcG only being detectable around three days after implantation.

Sparkly, darling, get that thing whipped out. Oral surgery and antibs will not scupper your chances of conceiving, I promise. Agree with Glittery, though, that they will not take it out until any infection is gone.

Nomio, that 'your baby is waiting for you' mantra only applies to your first Wink

I've come off the Clomid for a couple of months. I want my 28-day cycles back, thank you very much. This 35-dayer was excruciating.

CashmereCuddles · 27/02/2015 13:24

I have a question about the dual CB ovulation stick.

  1. The cycle before last I went from total nothing to solid smiley face. How does that make sense? Is that normal? (Last month I cheaped out and went for boots basic ovulation pee sticks and won't be making that mistake again).
  2. Once you get a flashing face, would you start dtd then or wait until solid face?

I made some carrot cake yesterday and she only went and got so much better overnight... Nom nom nom Cake

CashmereCuddles · 27/02/2015 13:25

so really that's two questions

GlitteryLipgloss1 · 27/02/2015 13:26

Purdie - Hope Nancy is doing better?

GlitteryLipgloss1 · 27/02/2015 13:28

Cashmere - I had circle yesterday - and solid face this morning. (hence nipping home for a lunchtime shag! which has knackered me out now - work wont be getting much out of me this afternoon!)

If I got a flashing face I would shag as much as possible - get as much spunk up you as you can!

Amyyy27 · 27/02/2015 13:53

Purdey yes that's what I thought too :) my irrational poas addict side told me to test test test! Grin I will attempt to hold off until next Saturday!

mummyofonesofar · 27/02/2015 14:00

No it wasn't Purds All night long I only had a couple hours inbetween each waking time all night so it was never a good time to take it, I woke at 4:45, went to the loo and back to sleep then woke and took temp at 06:30 so was wildly inaccurate - did put a note on and tell it I "had trouble staying asleep". Should I just discard?

Hairstylisttoboris · 27/02/2015 14:05

purdey I was properly dressed and everything. Even ironed my shirt with an iron rather than hair straighteners. .

PurdeyBirdie · 27/02/2015 14:25

mummy definitely discard that temp as it's totally invalid.

Aw glittery thanks for asking after Nancy; she's doing really well considering :)

tessiegirl · 27/02/2015 15:05

Cashmere - I use the Dual Hormone opks too and when you get a flashy smiley definitely dtd as much as possible then both peak days Wink

tessiegirl · 27/02/2015 15:08

Oh and also Cashmere the leaflet you get inside the box explains any questions you may have about going straight from low to peak as I can't give any advice about that, or their website is good. I also called the Clearblue helpline the other day about a query I had and they were really friendly and helpful. Good luck!

mummyofonesofar · 27/02/2015 15:31

Thanks Purdey, sorry AF showed for you but at least you're not in limbo. I'm so bored of this cycle now! Ready to get a move on with the next one.

PurdeyBirdie · 27/02/2015 15:34

Hiya, Tessie, how's it going, love?

Today I have variously felt compelled to throw my brick-weighted cats into the canal; cut my own hair in a fit of apoplexy; shag the first male to look at me askance; go to bed and never get up; and de-friend some of my most boring fb friends. I wish I could lay all this at the feet of my period but, if I'm honest, I feel like this most days...Hmm

juneybean · 27/02/2015 15:40

I'm a grumpy bastard generally too purds

Sparkly123 · 27/02/2015 15:43

Scrunchie well once you get your BFP there is no going back lovely!! Ha ha

Purds so is little nancy doing ok? What a wee shame poor darling. I just wasn't sure about anaesetic or antibiotics affecting a possible pregnsncy. 35 days cycle is no use! Poor you lovely!! Flowers so no clomid now?

Cashmere this is my first month using dual too and I got flashing face too so thinking dtd is a must!!

Sparkly123 · 27/02/2015 15:47

My update is- been to dental hosp and had the top wisdom yanked out! The bottom one is infected but the cause is the top one because it is biting on bottom gums etc. So he's hoping taking top out will help heal infection in bottom and I won't need it out too with any luck.. No antibiotics, he said if TTC this cycle (yes I told him.. Blush ) then best for me to stay away from antibiotics.

Anyway ladies completely non TTC related I just thought id update and say thanks for all advice earlier. I'm a dribbling mess now! But fully intend to get spermies up there tonight anyway...!

dojo123 · 27/02/2015 15:58

I want to POAS even though I know it's a complete waste of time, me being only 7dpo... I hate waiting. Going off to to visit a building site now to distract myself then might finish work early and do some food shopping. Oh this is dull!

dojo123 · 27/02/2015 16:01

Sparkly Glad they whipped out your tooth. Hate that numb face feeling you have for hours after. Make sure if you drink anything, try doing it through a straw, I've had plenty of drinks down my front as I missed my mouth caused by the anesthetic not my incompetence honest!

dojo123 · 27/02/2015 16:02

Sparkly Also gargling or swishing around salt water helps reduce infections, suffered from plenty with my wisdom teeth when I was younger.

PurdeyBirdie · 27/02/2015 16:26

Oh, brave, brave Sparkly! ThanksThanks

PurdeyBirdie · 27/02/2015 16:34

Dojo, the whole landscape of ttc is dull. Even the anticipation of a bfp is dull when you've been at it three years

And then, when you get your baby, that can be dull, too. Massive sigh. I know I shouldn't be saying things like this. Blame it on my period.

PurdeyBirdie · 27/02/2015 16:35

...on the other hand, if anyone lurking is having an utterly electrifying time of it trying to conceive then I'd love to hear about it Smile

Lulabelle2212 · 27/02/2015 16:44

Hi all, hope you don't mind a late-comer hopping onto the bus! My DH and myself only started TTC this week (eek) and I feel such a strong mixture of excitement but also overwhelming fear. It's so annoying as I've wanted a baby for so long but now there's nothing stopping us I feel terrified and so nervous! I guess it's natural but I wish I could stop feeling like this as I don't want it to affect our chances. Really thankful there's places like this where we can go through things together!

GotTheKey · 27/02/2015 17:19

Welcome lulabelle! This is my first cycle too- I am a bag of nerves/ excitement and am finding my first two week wait soooo hard! X
