Hi,
I see threads for ladies TTC mid 20's and 40's+ I just wanted to start one for 35+ I am 38 and seriously embarking on TTC baby 1.

My OH is often away for a week at a time and trying to DTD is proving difficult. I take pregnacare and folic acid and I try to use the Clearblue Monitor when I am able. I started trying May 2014. Anyone else in my position or similar?

Hi Presto, I'm 35 and also ttc #1, only on my third cycle though.

There's a few of us mid-late thirties on the March bus, come join us?!

prestolondon · 18/02/2015 17:30

Thanks Dizzynorthernbird! I will join the march bus when I get a chance! Thanks again!

I am 39 trying for #3, I know they say units difficult after 35 but had my fertility MOT the results are that I still have plenty of healthy eggs, so stay positive and it will happen.

I'm 37 and will start TTC this month! My DH had a vasectomy reversal 2 weeks ago. We're not expecting instant success due to my age and his VR but we're ever hopeful. There are lots of success stories around. We anticipate trying for a while though. I wish I'd met my DH when we were ten years younger but life plays games like that sometimes!

patienceisvirtuous · 18/02/2015 22:19

I just turned 37. Started ttc #1 in March last year. Have been pregnant twice - miscarried each time, last time end of December.

Got my first period post mc a couple of weeks ago so trying again now.

Wishing us all luck :)

Purplecuddlykoala14 · 18/02/2015 22:28

I'm 38 TTC #1 not been trying long.

DareGreatly · 19/02/2015 20:43

Hi there

Yes, me! Been trying for three months now approx. Wishing everyone luck and solidarity!

I just posted a question about EWCM actually (and lack of) - if anyone can share their advice / thoughts on that post, would be very grateful!

Evizza · 19/02/2015 20:48

I am 37 and been ttc for the past few months Smile

It is a real rollercoaster of emotions hey?? I honestly thought I was going to get a BFP this month and Bam...AF shows up today!! Yesterday so excited, and today so peeved. I really feel for the ladies that have been trying for a long time!!

JemimaPuddleDuck2 · 19/02/2015 22:23

Hi, I'm 37 and will start TCC #3 next month...6 week wait to have my implant removed Hmm. My DS and DD are 7 and 6 so I feel like I'm new to all this again! Diagnosed with PCOS whilst trying for my first but conceived naturally and was blessed with DD very quickly after (an unexpected but welcome surprise). Worried Mother Nature may not be so kind to me after such a long break but here goes!

Antonia79 · 20/02/2015 16:29

Hi, I'm 35 and TTC #1. Been off the pill for 6 years but not monitoring. When nothing was happening, started using the ovulation tests (8 months using monitoring) but still nothing! Visit the GP and had the initial D1-5 and D21 blood tests AND the triple swab test which was all smack bang normal and clear, fiancé had his sperm tested and again smack bang normal. Referral letter came through yesterday to make an appointment with the fertility clinic. Here's hoping everything works out!

Good luck to all of you TTC! Smile

RebeccaNoodles · 20/02/2015 16:50

Hi presto, I'm the same as you - 37, nearly 38, been trying 7 months, also popping vitamins and using Clear Blue. I have a slightly complicated history - just posted long rambling query about my endometriosis - would love to know if anyone has any thoughts on that.

DareGreatly, I think I have the same thing as you - not seen much but I don't worry about it really. Using pre-seed (what a revolting name) instead and hoping that works.

Wishing everyone luck! :)

DareGreatly · 21/02/2015 13:58

Thanks Rebecca - I'll look into that. Another poster in my post recommended acupuncture and apparently her EWCM increased dramatically! Definitely worth a try.

JemimaPuddleDuck2 · 24/02/2015 21:53

Right...visit to the Dr's booked to discuss kick starting my cobweb covered ovaries, Pregnacare brought in bulk, hubby switched to decaf coffee (without even knowing ??)...what have I missed? #4 weeks until implant removal

MalibuDaisy · 25/02/2015 11:27

Hello! I'm 35 and have been TTC #1 since last weekend, having come off the pill in October. So it's extremely early days! Good luck everyone :) x

maverick79 · 26/02/2015 23:38

Hi, I'm 35, ttc since may 2014. 2 m/c, the first July 14, the second confirmed as complete this week and was twin's.
flourishingmrs how and where did you get the fertility mot? I'd love to get my eggs checked given the m/c's.

Pipbin · 26/02/2015 23:47

Ladies. Please come and join the Berries. We are a group all over 30 and trying for our first.
They are an honestly lovely group and I don't know how I would have got through all this without them.

Pipbin · 26/02/2015 23:50

And I wouldn't worry too much about having to be trying for over 6 months. That comes from a few years ago when some people joined in their first month of trying and got a bfp straight away.
Most of us have been trying for a good while and will be able to advise on all sides of fertility.

SnowBells · 27/02/2015 00:55

36 here and trying for what must be nearly 2 years now.

I need to get a scan to see whether something is wrong down there.

Pipbin · 27/02/2015 06:19

Snow. Over 35 you are entitled to tests after trying for 6 months.
Come and talk to the Berries, we are a very knowledgeable lot.

margetter · 27/02/2015 13:16

36 and TTC since Dec 2014. Good luck everyone!

SnowBells · 27/02/2015 13:47

Pipbin NHS has sort of screwed us over with their bureaucracy over the last two years. GP did a few tests, but referral was rejected for reasons only known to GP probably, but I have not had time to go back - plus, we've actually moved houses.

I am paying for my own scan in a few weeks time, and if we did go down the fertility treatments route, we'd probably go private, too. Completely lost confidence in the NHS! Angry

mrsmugoo · 27/02/2015 13:54

We're going to TTC for #2 in April - I'm 35 in May.

DS1 was a (very) happy accident so I'm hoping #2 happens quickly too!

SweepTheHalls · 27/02/2015 19:55

I'm 35 and have been trying to conceive DC 3 for 2 years now having had no problems getting no. 1 and 2.
