We will get there. We will all of us get there. And we will brook no argument.

I love that Imps!! I too crotcheted a blanket through my IVF......

Sparks, you can never have enough yarn. A has discovered my stash and was throwing it around earlier it was making me nervous

You let your children touch your yarn? Shock Shock Shock I don't even let Mr Imps touch my yarn! Although he quite often sits on it and my crochet if it's on the sofa. No respect.

Will update you as soon as I get the call! I'm expecting to have a day 2 transfer which will be tomorrow. Odds won't be as good as for a 5 day transfer but still are much better than for a natural cycle so it's not exactly as though we'll be in a worse position than we otherwise would have been.

Hurrah for it being Friday!!

Ps - I had the most amazing sleep last night. I could get used to Temazepam...

BeedlesPineNeedles · 27/02/2015 07:45

imps the blanket is lovely. If it helps, my clinic only ever does 2 day transfers (and freezes any remaining good ones on day 2 as well) and their statistics are OK - though I'm hardly proof of success!!

I've told my boss I'm working from home Mon, wed and poss Thursday and I'm taking tuesday off. He doesn't know why, but he does know that there is a reason behind it that I don't really want to discuss. My main reason for wanting to work from home on Monday is that all my jeans are already feeling really uncomfortable - not sure what I'll do if this actually works :o Today I'm wearing a dress and leggings which is much more comfortable!

NoMaybeAboutIt · 27/02/2015 09:08

Can't wait to hear your news Imps!!! Glad you had a good sleep. Hope you aren't too sore today.

The bloating is the worst Beedle! But a good sign Smile

I didn't intend to let her play with it. But the cheeky think has figured out how to move the boxes. I swear she's going to be an iron man when she's older. She was pushing a nearly three year old around in a little tykes car the other day Shock

Imps9 · 27/02/2015 10:05

Just got call from BH - 3 of my eggs were mature and all three showing signs of normal fertilisation. Not sure of quality yet but we'll be back in tomorrow (hopefully) for best one to be popped in. Hurrah!

Pastamancer · 27/02/2015 10:08

Sounds great Imps, brooking that they will have 3 fantastic ones to choose from tomorrow.

BeedlesPineNeedles · 27/02/2015 10:34

100% fertilisation of the mature eggs is fantastic :o :o
As you said, Hurrah!

NoMaybeAboutIt · 27/02/2015 10:56

Bloody amazing news Imps!!! So excited for tomorrow for you!!!

Molotov · 27/02/2015 10:56

Fabulous news Imps Smile I have my fingers crossed for you!

Imps9 · 27/02/2015 11:19

Indeed, I am happy with this. Not entirely what I had been hoping for (growing eggs should have been the easy part!) but it doesn't really matter - we have nothing to lose and everything to gain. And if it doesn't work then there's always next time!

OP posts:
Gobbolinothewitchscat · 27/02/2015 11:25

imps - that sounds like a fantastic result and if I can say without sounding like a total cheese ball you're attitude to all of this is totally inspiring. Really.

Beedles - hope all going well with you. What a sensible Swedish system.

pasta - hope things are moving along. Literally!

Am having a sit down as DC's asleep. Soft play yesterday was excellent but exhausting. DS's friend is currently being toilet trained (quite wee as they are just 2). However, she had three disasters (one poo!) whisky stuck at the highest bit of the soft play area! Her mum is planning to abandon and restart later. I am dreading doing DS. Think I will wait til the summer and we can have lots of garden time!

Molotov · 27/02/2015 13:01

I agree, I think your attitude is inspiring, Imps

keepitgoing · 27/02/2015 13:12

imps Grin Grin that's brilliant! 3 embies Grin might they freeze the others if they're good enough, or would they take them to day 5?

gobbo shudder at poo at soft play. why did she decide to start so early??

keepitgoing · 27/02/2015 13:14

also who's to say the growing eggs is the easy part. you might well be just fabulous at growing a baby once a nice emby is put back in your womble. in fact I'm brooking no argument that in fact getting to this stage was the hard bit and it's all plain sailing from here

Gobbolinothewitchscat · 27/02/2015 13:33

keep - I have no idea!

DS is good at telling us when he has done a poo and wants changed. Couldn't care less about wees. I'm going to wait until he feels uncomfortable re: wees before we start. My sister trained her DS in a week with not much fuss or bother as he hated having anything in his nappy so think that's key.

Loopyaboutmy2boys · 27/02/2015 16:40

Imps great news re 3/4 fertilising. So if one goes back in tomorrow will you freeze the others? I thought most people had more than one put in but then I know diddly squat about these things!

Pasta, I hope you aren't kept waiting too long. I think we are well overdue a true sneeze birth!

I think I'm going to test again tomorrow, desperately trying to stop testing too early, but even tomorrow might be too early, as I don't know for sure when I ovulated, and have already wasted too many tests in the past testing too early! But my god I feel so pregnant and just want a stick to finally confirm what I think! Because I need to start the aspirin as soon as I get a BFP I have wasted so many tests already, and bought some more today, so will do one a day from now so I can get the result as soon as it is visible to the human eye on a FRER :)

Gobbolinothewitchscat · 27/02/2015 16:48

loopy - could you just start the aspirin now to be on the safe side? Flowers

Loopyaboutmy2boys · 27/02/2015 17:07

Everyone who knows more than me on a recurrent miscarriage thread seems to think its bad news to start it until you get to the stage you have enough hcg to get a BFP. As I haven't seen the consultant I am doing what others have said. (Was meant to be seeing him next month but then things happened and am sure I'm pregnant, so he arranged a prescription for me but never spoke to him or saw him to clarify anything re the medication!)

lerenard81 · 27/02/2015 17:37

Hi, I'm 5dpo and off to a spa day with friends from work tomorrow. heard spa isn't a good idea so not sure what to do. don't want to make a thing of it as not really close to all the people going and it's none of their business. thinking it might be too early to be a concern as wouldn't have even implanted yet. what do you ladies think?

Imps9 · 27/02/2015 17:41

There's always something to wait for and something to worry about in this game isn't there? Come on Loopy's bean send out some HCG signals FFS.

My clinic has a single embryo transfer policy Loopy - putting two in only increases the chance of success by something like 5% but increases chance of multiple births by 50% which they try to avoid due to increased risk.

OP posts:
Gobbolinothewitchscat · 27/02/2015 18:59

lerenard - I've not worried too much before a bfp. I kind of took the view that I had to live my life or I would go a bit mad. However, I had the odd glass of wine when pregnant with DD and DS which I know that others wouldn't do so I'm maybe not giving the best advice.

loopy - that's good you got info here. Bit annoying that the consultant is missing in action. I wonder if he does private work? If so, his email, should be quite readily available on the internet (and might be if he only does NHS) so might be worth googling and you could email him?

Imps9 · 27/02/2015 19:21

Oooooh sneaky tactic re: email address Gob. The mind of a snake fo' shizzle.
