Areas can begin treatment straight away and others are almost a year!

Hope everyone is doing ok, I was doing great but having a struggle this week. Have had a lot of pregnancy announcements though so that never helps does it.

Hey all, glad to see you're all ok. I've certainly not been trying as hard as usual - still an effect from DHs bad count I think. Still on the diet which is good. Just made a decision to move jobs today so hopefully Sod's law will kick in now..!

Morning ladies. It seems some of us are starting to deal with our infertility in a positive way. Lindsay I feel like you, I'm accepting that things are the way they are and if it happens it happens. I too think its the 'fear' of ivf.

mama hope you're ok hun. Lots of people have been asking about u lately! The 'penis dragon' thread are going crazy for u! I told them you were 'here' and still waiting.

lil I hope you're ok and quiet coz you're shagging away with dh's new super sperm! Hoping to hear some good news from you soon! ;-)

I'm waiting on af (prob tomorrow) and dh's 4th (!) Sa is on Monday. In bed with a stinking cold at mo though, hope to be 100% by the weekend though as we are celebrating our 7th anniversary with a night away in a hotel. Been looking forward to this for ages and I hope to get out and see some new wildlife (recently taken up wildlife photography). We are staying in the forest of Dean you see on the banks of the Wye.

Much love to you all x

Sorry to hear you're a bit down this week mama, pregnancy announcements are always hard. Hope you feel a bit more upbeat again soon.

Good luck with the new job laura. I've also got an interview in the next couple of weeks, though not sure yet if it would be the right thing for me (will have to ask if they would consider reduced hours otherwise it won't work).

vic I hope you get over your cold soon (I've just had one too, I bloody hate them!) and have a fantastic weekend away. Wildlife photography sounds fun! One of my friends takes amazing photos, I wish I could do it.

Not much to report here, apart from I had a really bad reaction to some avocado I ate yesterday, was in bed with horrible stomach cramps for about two hours afterwards! Shock Won't be eating that again in a hurry...

good to hear everyone is feeling more accepting and getting on with life. I felt that sense of pressure being off when dh had his sa results. knowing it was unlikely to happen meant I expected AF so didn't symptom spot or test. I think now I've been pg it will be easier again because I know what symptoms to expect!
I'm doing OK. still feeling pissed off with the world, but also feeling accepting that it may never happen for us. this post mc cycle is a ball ache. CD21 today and not a single sign of ovulation thinking about happening. feeling annoyed that my cycles were finally back on track and they've been ballsed up by bcp and ivf again for no result. dh does seem to have found his sex drive though. I think he's trying to make sure we keep the sex going with the renewed faith in the super sperm. I'm convinced my eggs are all shrivelled! still waiting for appointment to discuss the ivf cycle. everything in this process takes so frigging long!

lil I hope you didn't think I was being insensitive, I know you're still hurting. I'm crap with words and I was just trying to lighten the mood.

Good luck with the new jobs

mama weirdly the 'penis dragons' asked about you again this morning. They want you to join their FB group. I said there are prob too many bumps and babies on there. But if you are interested I can get you added. X

Mama Smile hello, good to see you. I was asking about you on the March conception bus. How are you? Hope you're managing to stay positive on this frustrating journey. Cycle 22 for me!

Hi lovely spinning! Can't believe you are on the buses still! How do you do it?! I am mainly positive but negative days creep in every so often :/ hormones probably, as well as pregnancy announcements! I don't even know what cycle I'm on now must be around 25! How frustrating! I hope you are doing ok, are you on any waiting lists for further tests/treatment? X

Mama, pleased you're ok. I totally get the up and down. After all this time it would be impossible to stay positive all the time! Sorry you have to wait so long for ivf, it seems to be the norm here in the UK.
We've had all the tests, all ok with me but dp has bad sperm so he's taking lots of vitamins Smile hoping that might make a difference, if not we may try ivf in Czech. If I'm not pregnant by the end of the year I think we'll stop trying. I'm older and we can't just keep trying indefinitely.

I hate putting up my number of cycles on the buses! I feel embarassed by it. The title of this thread, 10 months plus.... 10 months ttc, Pah! That's nothing! April is my cycle 30! I did stop counting at about 18/19 and then shocked myself by counting them up again! Starting counting in years now!

spinning get him on 1000mg vit c + zinc+ selenium. my dhs motility went from 5% to 79% and morph from 3% to 15%.

20 cycles + bcp cycle + ivf cycle + this wtf post mc cycle for me, so I'm on 23. wish I had shorter cycles, sounds like I'm not at 2 years yet when you count cycles but its 2yrs4months!

Hi ladies hope you don't mind me butting in - been watching with interest (I'm over on the ttc no2 thread - currently halfway through the 2ww on cycle 26 Hmm)

My recent bloods returned normal and I'm starting to think it's my husbands 4% morphology that is the real problem. I have him on wellman conception but the vit c is only 90mg. Lildottie can I ask where you got those supplements - was it just one pill with the zinc/selenium in it?? Or 3 separate pills??

Hi everyone, glad to see the thread has started up again with a bit more activity.

I'm 6 days post 2nd IUI, last few days I have had the most CM ever plus very tender nipples but I'm putting it down to the progesterone pessaries I am so happily inserting every night (not!). On our last IUI, DH's sperm count was 60 million, post wash inserted into me was 20 million. He has given up alcohol and caffeine since the new year and his post wash count which was put back in me this time was 119 million!!!! He has been strutting around like a prize bull ever since.

Something to make you all laugh, when we did the wank and drive run last week, the hospital had had a power cut due to an explosion and they were running on back up generators. The andrology lab said all their important equipment was working including the kettle and the supply to the TV for the porn in their wank room!!!!!Good to know the essentials were sorted ;)

Hahah that's hilarious!

Thanks for the good wishes re the job, and I'm glad we're all moving ahead with ourselves whatever our decisions.

I've also got DH on 1000mg of vit c and wellman which I think has the zinc and selenium. Like you say Lil it feels like the pressure is off cos of DHs results.

I'm on CD 22 and no sign of ov yet after taking Soya tabs which I think is a bit weird.

Fingers crossed for your iui non and great count for your dh! Are u still going straight for ivf if this doesn't work?

Hi brindler I have been feeding dh separate 1000mg Vit C and relying on the zinc and selenium in the Wellman too. You can't overdose on Vit C as such, it just gets flushed out in the wee if not needed (or too much may have a laxitive effect as it says on the packet, ooops!)

hi all. the vit c is an antioxidant so it improves quality by reducing free radicals so the bad sperm don't damage/get in the way of the good sperm. that's how the consultant explained it. the study was actually done with 2000mg per day for 2 months but I think 1000mg is recommended for long term (probably due to the laxative effect - dh has had this!)
dh takes a vit c+ zinc from Tesco and also takes other vits with all in.

metal that's an amazing improvement. hope 1 of those 119m are it for you! I too am sure dh giving up caffeine really helped.
