A friendly and welcoming thread full of lovely women.

I think the nurse said that it would be 2 scans for a FET, that's fine though because I will just come in a bit late. The problem is that my clinic only do collections/transfers at certain times of the month. If transfer would be the first week in October then this would be fine. I really don't want to have to work the first few days after transfer. Maybe I would get luck and have it fall over a weekend. I'll have to see what the clinic say.
Got an e-mail re lottery winnings and thought maybe this was the answer to my prayers- I won £3.20....

Glad you've got some crisps Sammy!

TrixieRay · 15/07/2015 11:26

Oh and I discovered that my boss thinks that I am only 31 so that's nice.

loopylou1984 · 15/07/2015 11:32

That's a nice mid week compliment Trixie :). Remind me, how old are you really?

I dont think my boss believes that I'm not fit to work - she seems to be making light of my symptoms saying it couldn't be ohss because 'that is really painful'

I feel really guilty not being at work. Xx

TrixieRay · 15/07/2015 11:53

I'm 34 Sammy. Don't feel guilty, I had my collection on the Friday and only went in on the Tuesday, would have really struggled on the Monday. Just focus on being ready for transfer.

loopylou1984 · 15/07/2015 12:01

In what way would you have struggled? It's only really the nausea that is stopping me, the pain is pretty much gone. Although my back aches weirdly. Xx

TrixieRay · 15/07/2015 12:14

I didn't have any nausea Sammy but I had low energy and pain, took me twice as long as normal to walk anywhere and sitting down/standing up was very uncomfortable. Great that your pain has gone.

lucieloos · 15/07/2015 16:25

Hope you're feeling a little better now Sammy. Can I ask with the suprecur did you have one big bottle which you used every day? How did you measure out the 0.3ml dose? Did it come with syringes that size so you could measure it out?

loopylou1984 · 15/07/2015 16:34

Hi Lucie

Yes it was one big bottle. You get a whole load of one use syringes with it and I just had to draw up to the 30 mark. I was really worried about getting the wrong amount, but it was easy. Are you nearly at the point of starting? X

lucieloos · 15/07/2015 16:48

Oh ok thanks Sammy! I will be starting in about 2 weeks but I'm just trying to order my meds and get everything sorted. Just want to get going again now. The waiting is the worst bit x

loopylou1984 · 15/07/2015 19:13

Turns out the pain hasn't gone.... The paracetamol were just doing a fab job! I missed a dose and am in pain again, not as bad though. Xx

loopylou1984 · 15/07/2015 19:14

Lucie - where do you even start ordering your meds yourself?! I can tell you my order list if it would help? X

lucieloos · 15/07/2015 20:00

Thanks Sammy I get a prescription from the clinic and then I can either order from the pharmacy attached to the clinic or any other that will accept a Czech prescription. The problem is they prescribed me something other than suprecur which is only available in Czech but the pharmacy said its not available and they can't order it so they had to prescribe me suprecur instead but they don't sell that in Czech so I had to get it from a UK pharmacy! Logistics are very complicated but I think it's sorted now. Really hope you get better soon. Good luck for you day 3 results tomorrow Smile

loopylou1984 · 15/07/2015 20:03

Ah I see! Sounds very complicated!

Thank you, that's the plus side to being unwell, I haven't thought about the results!
Am getting a but nervous now though, what if there aren't any left? Xx

lucieloos · 15/07/2015 20:21

I think most of them will still be going tomorrow so don't worry about that you will be fine Smile

TrixieRay · 16/07/2015 10:00

Any news Sammy? I was really worried about mine but all were going strong, sure yours will be too.

Two weeks is no time at all Lucie, glad you've got your meds sorted.

ToesAndFingersCrossed · 16/07/2015 10:02

FET update - had my lining scan and it's finally nice and thin! Now I need to take eostrorgen tablets for 2 weeks, after which I have another scan to check that the lining is thick! If it's good, I start progesterone pessaries (yay.... Hmm) and have transfer probably on Thursday 6th, so still another 3 weeks away!

I can't wait that long!!!

TrixieRay · 16/07/2015 10:14

Ooh exciting Toes, hopefully it goes nice and quickly for you. Do you know what cycle day you'll be on for transfer? I had mine on day 19 for my fresh cycle and wonder if it will be the same for a FET.

loopylou1984 · 16/07/2015 12:12

The embies are good. I didn't take much in though as we were there because I am feeling so rubbish. It is mild OHSS. Really hope it goes off by Saturday for transfer. X

lucieloos · 16/07/2015 12:16

Ohh sorry to hear that Sammy, have they said if they are still going ahead with the transfer? Do you know if all the embryos are still going? Really hope you feel better soon

TrixieRay · 16/07/2015 12:25

Glad the embies are good Sammy. Did they do a scan of your ovaries? Mine were the sizes of oranges and I had some fluid in my tummy but they still did the transfer. Make sure you rest up before Saturday, great that you will be having a day 5 transfer.

loopylou1984 · 16/07/2015 17:47

Yes, my ovaries were enlarged (about twice normal size) but the pain is because a lot of the follicles have filled with fluid.
He said if things stay the same or get better then he would still do the transfer, but I'll need another scan on Saturday morning to confirm.

He said he had a lady one who had 64 eggs retrieved and her ovaries were 24cm!

Just been back to the clinic for an anti sickness injection, I do feel rubbish. Xx

TrixieRay · 16/07/2015 18:01

Oh Sammy, sorry you're feeling so rotten. Hopefully the anti sickness jab helps and the worst is over. Remember you have your lovely embies and it will all be worth it.
64 eggs, omg how on earth is that possible. Most I ever heard of is about 30.

loopylou1984 · 17/07/2015 09:34

It did help and I had a great nights sleep but feeling awful again now. The clinic said they'd call this morning to see how I am, but nothing yet. Xx

TrixieRay · 17/07/2015 10:09

Great that you managed to sleep well last night, being tired makes everything worse. Hopefully you hear from the clinic soon.

lucieloos · 17/07/2015 14:31

Sammy just wanted to wish you good luck for tomorrow and hope you are feeling better and your transfer still goes ahead. If they need to freeze though then just think of all we have said on here and the research which indicates that frozen has a better chance of success once all your hormones have settled down and you are rid of all the meds. Will be thinking of you.
