A friendly and welcoming thread full of lovely women.

OP posts:

Home now. Managed to kill a few hours wandering around the shops. Earliest the call will come is just after two but could be later if the lab is busy. It may well already be done and the results on the way back to the clinic!
Managed to eat some lunch but realised that I am actually shaking as I type this. I have two bottles of wine in the fridge, one alcohol free and one with alcohol, really hope I will be opening the alcohol free one.
Lovely day so going to sit in the garden and try and read a magazine.

lucieloos · 10/07/2015 14:29

Aww trixie I'm nervous for you! Really hope it's a bfp and you are tucking into that non alcoholic wine this evening.

Pikz · 10/07/2015 14:55

Nervous for you too trixie. Keep checking back for updates

lucieloos · 10/07/2015 14:56

Me too!! Checked loads of times now.

TrixieRay · 10/07/2015 15:03

Sorry ladies! Call actually came early soon after my post. Unfortunately is was bad news and have been on the phone to DH, my Mum, sis and best friend. Gutted, started to cry while still on the phone to the nurse, she was lovely and said that she has spoken to the Doctor and with the frozen blasts things are positive.

loopylou1984 · 10/07/2015 15:04

Trixie I'm nervous for you too! Can't wait for your update Smile

I do know the sizes, will tell you when I get home and can get the paperwork out! Xx

loopylou1984 · 10/07/2015 15:06

Oh Trixie - crossed post.
So sorry lovely, I can imagine how you're feeling, so let your self cry. Drink that bottle of wine, and be looked after.
Assume you get a follow up appointment with the clinic in a few days? Xx

lucieloos · 10/07/2015 15:08

Oh trixie I'm so sorry. I really had a good feeling for you. I know how hard it is lovely. It is such a shock the first time and so disappointing. I cried for a few days and then gradually it does get easier I promise. The nurse is right you are in a great position with all those frosties but I know that doesn't help much at the moment. You have your plans in place though and after a few days they will keep you going. Huge hugs to youThanks

lucieloos · 10/07/2015 15:10

Sorry cross post Sammy. Yes let us know the sizes when you get home.

TrixieRay · 10/07/2015 15:14

Have done plenty of crying and have a glass of rose by my side. Think it will take a little while to properly sink in so glad it is the weekend.
I asked the nurse whether the swollen ovaries will have affected it and she said not necessarily, I am blaming that though. Even if it wasn't that we may just have been unlucky. We are going to have a few months off before a frozen cycle though she said you only have to wait one cycle. Will contact the clinic next week to arrange the follow up appointment and I want to book a counselling session as I think it will help.

You ladies have been so great, really would have struggled without you.

lucieloos · 10/07/2015 15:20

Yes I don't think you need to take more than a month or so off for a frozen transfer but I don't think it would hurt to let your body rest a little longer. It does take a while to sink in as you have been through so much to get to this stage. Unfortunately even at 30 something like 30% of eggs are not viable. At our age it's a bit higher again. The good thing is that means that at least some of those frosties you have should be viable and it's just a matter of getting the right ones. We will all get there in the end I'm sure of it.

TrixieRay · 10/07/2015 15:27

Exactly Lucie, I like to think that this time next year we will all have babies Smile

Pikz · 10/07/2015 16:56

Big hugs trixie

loopylou1984 · 10/07/2015 17:27

Trixie - again I am so so sorry, hope you're alright.

So Lucie, you asked about the sizes, they were:

Right: 12,18,15,7,9,9,9,17,16,8
Left: 20,11,15,11,20,9,13,16,13,10,10

Lining was 7.3

She said I'm borderline for OHSS but when she plotted it on the graph I escaped the blood test.

I have 1 more stims injection tonight, the suprecur tomorrow at 9pm, and my trigger at 10pm. We then have to be at the clinic at 9.30 Monday morning! Xx

spinningirl10 · 10/07/2015 18:05

Oh Trixie, I am very sorry to read your update. Pleased you have a bottle of wine, cuddle up to dh tonight and let him take care of you this weekend. Sending a hug to you.

Sammy, wow, lots of eggs! Good luck for Monday.

lucieloos · 10/07/2015 18:38

That looks great Sammy, I reckon you have at least 10 good ones there. Now the exciting bit starts and sperm can finally meet egg! Have a lovely relaxing weekend. Next weekend you will be pupo!

loopylou1984 · 11/07/2015 21:05

Thanks girls Smile

Just about to do my last suprecur injection, then it's trigger at 10pm! Eeek!

How is everyone else? Having good weekends I hope? X

loopylou1984 · 11/07/2015 22:13

Trigger done. I burst into tears after getting it all ready. It was quite complicated and felt a bit overwhelming.. I think it's just the whole thing catching up with me. Xx

lucieloos · 11/07/2015 22:59

Well done Sammy all done now and onto the next stage. You have done all you can.

loopylou1984 · 12/07/2015 08:02

Thanks Lucie. When you did your trigger did you get many symptoms? I feel fine which worries me - what if it isn't working?? Xx

lucieloos · 12/07/2015 10:13

No I don't remember any immediate symptoms with the trigger although I didn't start getting sore boobs a day or so after but that could have been a combination of that and the progesterone I had started. Don't worry it will work fine. Good luck for tomorrow Smile

loopylou1984 · 12/07/2015 11:29

Thank you Lucie :).
I haven't started any progesterone yet. I have pessaries but they haven't told me when to use them! Xx

lucieloos · 12/07/2015 11:50

You normally start them from egg collection day Sammy x

loopylou1984 · 12/07/2015 11:57

Ah ok, tomorrow then :)

TrixieRay · 12/07/2015 16:02

Well AF arrived here yesterday afternoon bang on time so onto cycle 20 though we aren't officially trying for the next 2 months as we really need a break. Will stay on here though to cheer you ladies on.

Sammy I just noticed really sore boobs after the trigger too. Good luck for tomorrow, can't wait to find out how many eggs you get.
