It all sounds very exciting! I don't know what the swollen ovaries mean, is that to do with your meds? Make sure you rest and Drink those fluids.
When do they recommend poas? I've got everything crossed for you

Swollen ovaries means I'm at risk of OHSS, was on a low dose of meds but reacted quickly, poor ovaries! If I don't get pregnant should be fine but if I do then the hcg could trigger OHSS.
Have been drinking loads DH has been working from home this afternoon but going to send him out soon for more coconut water as that is supposed to be good for OHSS.
They didn't say re testing...don't think I'll be able to build up the courage! Have to go for a blood test next Friday morning.
What time is your scan tomorrow Sammy?

Yay congrats on being pupo trixie, sounds like everything has gone amazingly well for you and it's brilliant you will have so many frosties. Hopefully you won't have to go through a fresh cycle again.

Trixie! Amazing news, congratulations! My clinic say not to test until 18 days after egg collection for feR of a false positive from the drugs.

OHSS really scared me, mainly because I don't think I can face the cycle being abandoned. What dose were you on Trixie?

A false positive worries me too Sammy. Mine do the blood test so they can assure the levels are high enough for it to be a real positive. Is going to mean more time off work though.
Try not to worry about OHSS. I have pco so was more at risk. As long as you keep well hydrated and rest you should be fine.
I was on 150 of gonal F for 8 days.

Purdie! Hello! Sorry you're feeling poorly, but at least it's for a good reason :)

Just had baseline scan and we're good to go, so first injection will be tonight!
She counted 11 follicles on one ovary and 6 on the other, then ran through how to do the injections again.

Dh is being amazing, I'm so lucky to have him. Xx

Fantastic news Sammy! Your count sounds really similar to mine. Good luck with your first injection, you'll be fine.
Great that your DH is being amazing I think it is hard for them seeing us go through the treatment.

It's on Saturday Trixie. I had an email from the czech Dr too and she has now agreed that we will do the cetrotide from day 7 next time. It's so disappointing though to feel we have wasted a whole treatment. I really feel like it might have worked if that bit was done right. This whole thing is so hard. Just hope it goes better next time.

Yes, your husband is amazing Sammy, and you are lucky to have each other and still be having great non-ttc sex. Hello to everyone else here. I have a donor egg ivf baby who is 15 months old and am 9 wks preggo from a natural conception using artificial insemination at home with my husband! Life is strange and wondrous. Keep believing , everyone

Lucie, where is your UK clinic and how come you have one here as well as Czech? Human error during an ivf cycle is very, very hard to come to terms with and I think you deserve a pat on the back for your grace and tenacity. Keep looking up, Lucie, your baby is waiting...

We're at Care Purdie. Using the embryoscope and glue and everything! Feel quite excited now it's all starting!

Aww thanks Purdie and Sammy. So pleased to hear things are going well for you purds. The clinic in the UK is the one that I had all my initial investigations at last year when we reached the 6 month mark. I've also been using them for my initial scans before flying out to czech. As we had a package with them last year for the tests we are entitled to a free follow up consultation. The doctor there is lovely and I know she will try her best to help with any questions we have. We will also make out that we are undecided about our next treatment and are looking into UK or going abroad again and want to talk through what they would suggest for us if we did decide on UK. Just got to get my list of questions together. I think we only get around 30 mins so will have to talk fast.

Lucie, I'm ok thanks. Just plodding on, af arrived yesterday and I had a bit of a melt down! Had such bad stomach pains which is unusual for me and was super emotional. Feeling better today. New cycle new hope and all that!

Lucie, spoke to my clinic this afternoon and apparently 5 blasts were frozen yesterday and another 1 today. So out of 8 fertilised 7 made it to blast! The progress report on day 3 was that 4 of them were showing abnormal movement so we thought they had been written off but apparently not. Sounds like you are well prepared for Saturday.

Spinning, I'm feeling ok, thanks for asking. Have been resting and drinking loads of water sorry for AF, I so want you to get your BFP soon.

Hi Purdie, congratulations on your pregnancy, always good to hear a success story.

Wow trixie that is really amazing, the quality of them must have been so good. Even though we have 6 on day 3 which were all looking good only 2 made it to blast.

First injection done! Was a bit stingy, but ok.
DH is out tomorrow evening so we have just made up the menopur together ready for me to do tomorrow. He's driving home afterwards rather than staying in a hotel so that he can make sure i'm ok though.

Trixie - I think you're right, it s hard for the men. Mine certainly wishes he could go through it for me. 5 frozen is awesome!!

Spinning - injection was ok thank goodness! Sorry AF arrived, but glad you're feeling a bit better today.
