Great news Trixie, fingers crossed for tomorrow.

lucieloos · 26/06/2015 13:34

Wow trixie that's amazing! I have a good feeling for you. Hope there are lots of mature ones and they all fertilise. We have booked a consultation next weekend at the UK clinic so we can talk over things and get their opinion on it all. We will probably go back to Czech for further treatment but would be good to get a second opinion. Do you remember when you started cetrotide trixie? Sorry you have probably already told me somewhere.

TrixieRay · 26/06/2015 13:53

Thanks ladies, really helped knowing you were rooting for me and that I would be able to update you when it was done.

I feel ok Sammy, had some pain afterwards which kind of came in waves. Just some discomfort now really. They said to take some paracetamol if I need to. Have a whole load of new meds to get on with now. Feeling tired because it took me a while to drop of last night and we were up early so may have a nap in a bit.

Lucie, great that you have a consultation booked. I think having plan and keeping things moving forward is the only thing we can do.
I started cetrotide on day 8, it was supposed to be day 7 but they told me to hold off for a day. I was on 150 of Gonal F from day 3 until day 11 and did my last cetrotide the same day as my trigger on day 12.

lucieloos · 26/06/2015 14:01

Thanks trixie did they up your Gonal at all when you started cetrotide?

TrixieRay · 26/06/2015 14:09

They didn't Lucie, I was ok the same dose throughout.

loopylou1984 · 26/06/2015 14:51

Lucie - the bumsnet thread are asking after you (and are appalled that we are cheating on them with this thread! Wink).
I told them your cycle wasn't going as well as you'd hoped but that I would leave it to you to fill them in. X

Hairstylisttoboris · 26/06/2015 14:54

Ladies I just wanted to pop over and say lucie I'm really sorry this cycles not gone to plan. Sammy told me you are hanging out on here. Big hug to you. Flowers

Waves to Trixie.

lucieloos · 26/06/2015 15:08

Thanks so much Boris. I have been meaning to pop back onto bumsnet to update but just been chatting quietly here. I have just left a message there now and will catch up properly tonight xx

TrixieRay · 26/06/2015 16:19

Hiya Boris, waves back Smile

Hairstylisttoboris · 26/06/2015 16:25

Whilst I'm here... Does anyone have any advice on finding a reliable fertility clinic? it looks like I'm heading towards needing to find one this summer. I live In the south of hampshire but can travel.

lucieloos · 26/06/2015 16:39

Sorry to hear that boris. Try hfea.gov.uk you can search for all the clinics in your area and it will give you details about them

Hairstylisttoboris · 26/06/2015 17:07

Thanks lucie. If be lost without these threads. Or redundant as I'd be wasting even more time at work googling everything.

loopylou1984 · 26/06/2015 17:40

Boris - I hope you get your bfp before you need a clinic, but if you don't will you be going privately or nhs? Xx

Hairstylisttoboris · 26/06/2015 18:30

Sammy we have to go private as DH has children from his first marriage and therefor we are ineligible for nhs here.

loopylou1984 · 26/06/2015 19:10

Ah ok, well if you have a care fertility near by then I highly recommend them so far. Xx

TrixieRay · 26/06/2015 21:25

Boris I think most clinics do open evenings so you could always pop along to a few. We booked ours based on locality, price, success rates and the fact everyone we've dealt with at our clinic has been really nice.

loopylou1984 · 27/06/2015 09:38

My drugs have just been delivered! Trixie I know what you mean about it being a bit overwhelming now! The list of items says there should be a menopur multi dose pen which doesn't seem to be there... But the nurse never showed us this, and so I'm not sure if I actually need it. Waiting on a call back from the clinic now. X

lucieloos · 27/06/2015 09:52

I don't think Menopur comes in a pen Sammy that's just the Gonal F. Good luck this morning trixie! Let us know how you get on.

loopylou1984 · 27/06/2015 09:56

I have suprecur, menopur and pregnyl. None of which came in a pen when the nurse ran through them, they were all syringes. Hopefully the nurses will shed some light! The receptionists said they'd call about 11.

Oh yes Trixie - what time will your clinic be calling you? Xx

lucieloos · 27/06/2015 10:19

Ah yes I don't think any of those come in pens. Maybe it was just a typing error. What dose of Menopur will you be on Sammy?

loopylou1984 · 27/06/2015 10:25

Yeah must have been.

Menopur is 150 iu (not sure of the unit?) and suprecur is 0.3 ml.

How are you feeling now Lucie? X

TrixieRay · 27/06/2015 11:53

Heard from my clinic, woke up really early again and call didn't come until 10.10. So out of 16 eggs collected 8 are showing normal signs of fertilisation. Of the other 8 at least one was immature. Feeling very relieved. Have a provisional appointment for transfer on Monday afternoon, they will call on Monday morning to let me know whether it will be Monday or whether they will do it on Wednesday. With 8 he said hopefully it will be Wednesday.

Have you heard from your clinic yet Sammy?

lucieloos · 27/06/2015 12:02

8 is great trixie, we had 6 fertilise first time around and they all made it to day 3 so fingers crossed yours will too and you will have some good ones to choose from. What happens with the other 8? Are they just keeping them going to see if anymore fertilise? Not long to go for you now!!

I'm ok thanks Sammy, still a bit sad and disappointed but trying to get organised ready for the next one which will probably start around the end of July. Just waiting back to hear how long is best to wait. When is you AF due to arrive?

TrixieRay · 27/06/2015 12:08

I hope so Lucie. I'm not sure what happens to the other 8, I thought that if they were going to fertilise they would have done so by now.

Hopefully you don't have to wait too long, the end of July will be here before you know it.

loopylou1984 · 27/06/2015 21:24

Trixie - hooray for 8! That's fab :).

Lucie - it must be so hard, one minute you're on such a high waiting to fly out and it's snatched away. It obviously wasn't the right time though, and I'm glad you have a plan for the next cycle.

Yes heard back from the clinic - the multi dose pen was actually the needles and drugs, and the menopur kit was the coolbag (my phone tried to change that to cool af - af is definitely not cool) to put the fridge drugs in! X
