Wow exciting trixie! I only have 2 scansduring my stimms which are on Monday and Thursday next week and my flight to czech is all booked for a week saturday. I'm expecting egg collection to be on the sunday or Monday. I feel ok with the stimms so far I normally get a bit of a headache for the first few days which I had again today but other than that all fine. Good luck for your scan tomorrow. Let us know how you get on.

A full bladder? Why on earth do you have to have a full bladder?! Oh dear, that won't be very comfortable.

Thank you for sharing your side effects, this is one of my biggest worries at the moment as I really don't want to be suffering enough that people at work notice... They will automatically think I'm pg and that is the last thing I'll need them saying! Xx

I think it's because it is easier for them to do the transfer Sammy.

Just on the train to my appointment now, had a bit of an issue with one of my gonal f pens last night. Went to use the last 150 in a 300 pen and noticed blood inside the pen...I think when I did the injection the night before my thumb must have come off the trigger before the needle was out - grr. Going to check with the clinic but from Googling think it means I can't use the pen now. I have enough left to see me through as long as they don't put my dose up....

All went well today, sticking with the same dose which is good (she said not to re use the pen with the blood in it) have to start a second injection tomorrow and then back in on Monday for another scan.
Depending on how I go over the weekend egg collection will be Friday or Monday- eek!
I've had a few headaches come to think of it Lucie, I thought maybe it was the heat or eye strain but could be the meds. The nurse said I will start to feel bloated over the weekend and that I may well get some period type pain. I was a bit of a grump last night and ended up rowing with DH, not sure if I can blame that on the meds or whether it was because I was stressing about messing up the pen.

Glad it went well Trixie - did they say how many follicles you had? Lots I'm guessing if she thinks you're going to feel bloated! Xx

Really glad it all went well trixie! What day of your cycle are you on now? I would also be interested to know if they told you how many follicles you had and sizes? I have my scan on Monday too so hopefully it will be good news for both of us.

I'm on day 7 Lucie. I had 6 on one side and 13 on the other. The side with 6 on had one dominant. The side with 13 I think around half were a similar size and half were smaller. I can't remember sizes but will pay more attention on Monday.
Saw my neighbour when I got home and she is very obviously pregnant... We're in a new build and the sound insulation isn't great so last thing I'm going to want to hear if this doesn't work is a newborn crying next door.

That's good trixe, sounds like you have a good number there. Did they say anything about the dominant one? I had one larger than the rest on my last cycle. Have you started cetrotide yet? Sorry to hear about your neighbour. My next door neighbour has just given birth but fortunately our sound insulation is pretty good so don't hear a thing unless we are in the garden.

She didn't say anything about the dominant one. Will ask about it on Monday. I have to start cetrotide tomorrow, looks a bit fiddly.

I found the cetrotide ok although i found it stung a little but nothing bad. I'm getting nervous for my scan now. I hope there is something going on in there!

Trixie - sorry about your neighbour... Although it'll be lovely if you have babies of similar ages, yours will have a friend right next door

I'm freaking out about starting, it just sounds so complicated with all the drugs and scans etc... Feeling out of my depth! I thought id come off the pill and just fall pg a few months later! X

You're right Sammy try not to worry, it's not so bad. Just done my first Cetrotide and feeling very slightly stingy. Glad it is out of the way. Get a lot of satisfaction from ticking the injections off on my treatment plan.
Have had to stop looking at Facebook. Lots of friends out having fun and I am sat at home doing injections. Will hopefully be 100% worth it though!

Trixie - is it impossible to go out while you're doing the injections? Xx

I don't think it's impossible. You could always do your injections in the morning. The nurse at my clinic said it's best to do in the evening when you're nice and relaxed and them if you do get headachy you've not got then head to work. The one I started today is quite fiddly and has to be done at the same time each day.

And I've definitely started feeling quite bloated and tired today so best to take it easy I think. I asked the nurse about my dance show and she said best to avoid dancing during the 2ww so I've had to pull out which is a shame.

Trixie - glad it's all going ok. It all scares me. We have our appointment with the nursing team tomorrow so guess I will know more after that. Xx

Hello ladies can I join? I'm cd1 cycle 11 ttc #1 I've been off contraception for 2 and half years but only actively 'trying' since Oct.

I'm on the July bus but will be going to the GP next week to start investigations and hopefully there might be some of you ladies who are in a similar position?

Hi itsme, welcome :).

Good that you're off to get investigations started, it should be a couple of blood tests for you and a semen analysis for your dh as a first step. This is a lovely bus, full of some helpful advice. Xx

Thanks Sammy. Yes, if it is collection on Friday then next Wednesday I will be PUPO! Eek! Have you had your appointment yet?
I've gone from 6 and 13 follicles to 10 and 12 but lots of them are small so won't produce a mature egg. They're still not sure whether it will be Friday or Monday for collection, need to see how I go between now and Wednesday. I have 6 follicles on one side at 15mm and some others between 10-11mm on both sides. Apparently they like them to be 17-18mm before you trigger.
DH is out tonight so will have to inject myself, fine with the Gonal F but a bit worried about doing the cetrotide by myself. Will just have to make sure I start getting it ready in plenty of time.
