Evening alllll.

So I'm on cycle day 8 so my gonna be getting me some tonight.

I had a dream last night that I was pregnant and was breaking it to my friends and it was sooo lovely.
SOOOOON my pretties.

I have loads of names! Current faves are Rufus and Meredith or Willow. Not sure though. Changes week to week.

Nomio230 · 07/02/2015 20:17

I am back!

After the hell of moving house & being wifi-less, I am finally have 5 minutes to go online. Smile

I have so many questions. Are you all now happily upduffed? What is the food of the week? Are there any new wonder drugs I should be taking?

Names wise I have always like Amelia for a girl, but it is becoming too popular, so I am going off it. A boy called Amelia would definitely be unusual though. Grin (Joking!)

Hairstylisttoboris · 07/02/2015 20:21

purdey I think he might try AI to be honest, he wants this as much as I do. I'm hoping that our new life will help him a lot though, he will have more time, more excercise and back close to his kids.... I have found a doctors to register with so will do that pronto and make appointments soon. Might not help they cycle coming....

PurdeyBirdie · 07/02/2015 20:21

Rainy & Boris, is the subject of supplements a delicate one for your other halves? I understand forgetfulness is a major cause of upset for women whose husbands have a memory like a sieve, but it must be awful if the man refuses outright to improve his sperm. Perhaps he feels emasculated at the suggestion that his sperm may not be top notch. Tough shit. As far as I am concerned any loving partner will do his utmost to indulge us during this tough journey towards getting a baby. We do all the plotting, all the planning, all the wee tests and anguished waiting; all they have to do is shoot their man-fat and lob some pills down their necks. Get with the programme, bastards!

PurdeyBirdie · 07/02/2015 20:23

I thought Angharad was a hard 'g'! Plus harad sounds like 'Herod', the king in the bible who slayed all the male babies under the age of one Hmm

Sparkly123 · 07/02/2015 20:24

Oh my you are all so organised! We don't have names picked or agreed yet..oooopsy! I love all yours!

Spinning so cute! Noah! Love that you dh does that. Sweet! Ha ha our AI effort is pretty much exact to
Last months when I got the BFP so fingers fully crossed!!

Have fun mummy have one Wine for us lot stuck in watching the voice and take me out! Ha ha.

Giddy baby bear?! Awww!!!

Love unusual names.. But so hard to decide eh! I want italian names for my babies as am italian ... No problem for girls names as there are tonnes! But boys are an issue...!!

Off topic but not off MN topic.. I've had lots of cramps again tonight and creamy but also wet cm! No idea what's going on! And not sure how any dpo I am either. Purdey pie if my temp has gone up does that mean for sure I have OV now yeh?! I can't believe how bloo** anxious I am about getting the timing right this month! I'm off my head! Ha ha.. Think it's so confusing with all the different signs.. I don't envy you ladies with irregular cycles at all! You lot are another level of woman!! Grin

Trixie so sorry about AF!! Next cycle- yes!! Arabella is one of my favs!!! My great gran was Annabella and my mum is Anna so I love any with Ana...ara etc or Bella on the end there!!

Sparkly123 · 07/02/2015 20:25

Purdey I heart the bible names!

Sparkly123 · 07/02/2015 20:26

Ahh missed a page.. Must go back!

Rainy34 · 07/02/2015 20:29

purdie my oh has just come around to the idea of me taking all the supplements that i am on, for months and months he kept saying they won't help , don't take them but now i pop them in front of him and he don't bat an eye lid, I have mentioned a few months ago getting him on pregnacare for men and was told to do one, so i think as time goes on he will change his mind, i think il have a conversation about it when he is in a good mood

juneybean · 07/02/2015 20:29

Ooo missed a names topic! My favourite thing! I have wanted Mia for a girl forever but it just doesn't work with my surname, so now the cat is called Mia!

For a boy I love Alexander.

Some beautiful names being discussed from you lot though!

night is it you who is welsh? one of my charges has a friend called elliw and I cannot get my head around the fact it is pronounced like ech-lee-ooo

PurdeyBirdie · 07/02/2015 20:30

Nomio, I was thinking about you today. It's good to have you back Smile

Boris, that is such good news about your husband's desire to do what it takes. The pressure is really off when they can retire to the bedroom and do their thing. The chances of conception are the same as penetrative sex. Almost. What have we got to lose? Your new life sounds promising. What changes have you made apart from house move? New job? Your husband has kids from a previous relationship? So does my DH, a boy aged ten whose mother hanged herself just before Christmas Sad

Cariad2014 · 07/02/2015 20:31

Huge congratulations Crazy and Who - here's to a very happy and healthy nine months.

Sorry AF arrived Trixie and Boris - sending lots of Wine and Flowers your way. LOVING the name Arabella Trixie - so very pretty.

DH and I can't seem to agree on baby names, so I have absolutely no idea what a sproglet of ours would be called. Night - I'm also a big fan of Welsh names but am struggling to find anything that Non-Welsh people can pronounce.

9dpo today and I'm desperate not to POAS until Wednesday (13dpo). The truth is if I don't get frequent urination as a symptom in the next few days I'll know that I'm out. Absolutely dreading AF's arrival this month - as it would mean that I won't have a BFP before the EDD of my cp.

Waves at Spinning, Victoria and MaMaPo.

nightandthelight · 07/02/2015 20:31

I am indeed Welsh Juney and Elliw is a lovely name although not one I have cone across before :)

PurdeyBirdie · 07/02/2015 20:32

Aaaargh! Not 'slayed'! 'Slew!'

Cariad2014 · 07/02/2015 20:32

Sorry Night - that should have read "anything I like that non-Welsh people can pronounce and which DH doesn't hate!"

nightandthelight · 07/02/2015 20:33

Yeah that is a problem cariad non Welsh people tend to mangle Welsh names sadly :( people don't seem able to mess up the simple ones like Cai.

Hairstylisttoboris · 07/02/2015 20:39

purdey bloody hell your poor step kid. Does your step son live with you at all?
My DH thinks he is fine as he conceived with his ex really easily. But she was a young un then... Damn her!
Our new life is that we will both live near family and friends, in reasonable cycling distance to work. We currently commute 2 hours each way a day by train but the new commute will be a 30 min cycle each way, should make us healthier and happier and we get 3 and a half hours a day extra to make babies - bargain.

PurdeyBirdie · 07/02/2015 20:42

Rainy, would it help if you showed him an authoritative article surrounding supplements improving sperm? I'll get searching...

I love the name Beatrix. I also love Octavia but it sounds so improbably middle class; I could never get away with it 'round 'ere

Cariad, the pressure of getting pregnant before the EDD of a lost baby is ghastly. I've been there and it's hard Thanks

Sparkly, you have definitely ovulated. Am I right in thinking you reported 'watery' a few days after ov on your pregnancy chart? Or was it Crazy's chart?

Cariad2014 · 07/02/2015 20:43

Sorry to hear about your step son Purdey. Flowers

Hairstylisttoboris · 07/02/2015 20:47

Oh purdey I'll take any bossy articles you find about how supplements help sperm.

love the name Octavia; I could get away with it

Giddymamma · 07/02/2015 20:48

Oh no purdey, you've got it all going on, haven't you? Poor lad.

Also from t'north, from the north east, live in north west, we had to practice our ds's name in both accents to check it worked. :)

PurdeyBirdie · 07/02/2015 20:49

Boris, it is a tragic story. DH and his ex were bad alcoholics and he was sent to prison for four months for a crime he committed. Whilst in prison his ex went crazy on the drink and their 18 month-old baby was taken into care. It took her a long time to get him back and they snatched him from the arms of prospective adopters just in the nick of time. DH came out of prison but the relationship had disintegrated. DH didn't see his son for the next three years, when he came to the rehab we were in to visit him at the age of five. When we left rehab he had a good relationship with his son, visiting him and having him stay with us some weekends.

Unfortunately the boy's mother was an hysterical and unhinged individual who became hooked on methadone. Oliver has numerous behavioural problems (all of them learned I am sure) which culminated in him throwing a knife at his mum. She called the police and he was taken straight into care. On the eve of a big meeting with soc services to decide Oliver's long-term care his mother killed herself. Olive had thrived so much in the care of his foster family that it was decided he should stay with them.

victoria401 · 07/02/2015 20:49

Omg I hate the name Cai! My neice was going to be that if she was a nephew! She's a Cerys.

I also associate names with the horrid kids at school so could never use them! (there was an Angharad in my class and my sisters bestie is Angharad 'Ag')

Juney surely your cat has your surname though?! And they call it out when you take her to the vets? My 3 rat babies have my surname :-)

sparkly also home watching the voice and take me out, nowt wrong with that!

Sparkly123 · 07/02/2015 20:50

Purdey ha ha ha dying at the foot in mouth right there!!! Night you are gracious indeed. I would of decked her one! Ha ha Grin

Nomio230 · 07/02/2015 20:51

Blimey purdey, that is terrible. Does your stepson live with you?

boris, sounds like you should both be a lot happier once you move. Dh's new commute is 10 mins instead of an hour, so I am hoping for more baby making time too. Smile
