Went back to the assessment unit yesterday for more bloods and also because my bile acid results came back abnormal from Wednesday.
I definitely have the itching condition, so I'm now on medication to try and reduce my levels. Yesterday was crap, I ended up waiting four hours for bloods to be taken, a quick chat with the doctor and being checked on the CTG monitor. The midwife allocated to me forgot about me and was unwell herself so she kept forgetting everything rushing around.
Annoyingly It meant to didn't have any access to food or drink from breakfast until like 4pm by the time I could get out.
Have to go back for a scan of the baby and my liver which they want to do before Tuesday (but due to bank holiday I'm waiting for a call to see if they can fit it in). But Tuesday they want more bloods, if my levels haven't dropped then I'll need to be induced. No idea when or how quick that will be.
There's a higher risk of stillbirth with the condition so it's just really stressful, I would rather she came out now that wait but they don't want to bring her out too soon.
Apparently the waiting list to see a consultant is too long and I wouldn't be able to see one in time as I'm 37 weeks on Monday. Just really disappointed that I have to have the baby in that hospital now, I really wanted to be low risk and go for the birth centre because I know how busy the hospital is. You can hardly understand what the staff are saying because of their accents, which is really annoying! No one speaks to you really, the only time I can completely relate to a member of staff is when a consultant arrives or a doctor. Everyone else just seems to stick to their routines and they don't offer up any details about what they are doing next and how long they will be.
