Poor you cupcake, is it terrible that I'm so glad im not you right now? I found the bands really helped me and I thought they wouldn't.

Hope it passes sooner rather than later for you

Siarie I don't blame u! I wouldn't want to be me at this point lol!

And Tori, they don't get rid of my nausea either. Only get rid of the almost throwing up feeling haha. But the nausea sticks all day. I woke up this morning and felt fine and thought yay!!! But as soon as 9am hit i felt awful again. What would the GP do? As o don't want any tablets as I've seen what they can do to unborn babies, I cared for a man who had that disability with the short arms, and he said it's purely caused by his mom taking anti sickness tablet in pregnancy.

I resisted the tablets too, what kept me going was the threat of having to go to hospital. So some days I would only manage some cheese and an apple. But I would try and drink water if I could.

I weighed myself so I knew how much weight I was loosing and carried a bucket around with me. Went to bed at 8pm and spent the rest of the time sideways awake on the sofa watching TV.

It was gross, I couldn't muster the energy or stop feeling vertigo type sickness to go wash my hair. Everything just stopped, it was ok when we were away as the apartment was tiny and it took a lot less effort to move. But once we got home, urgh.

The bands helped just take the edge off, I was still sick with mostly every meal and had horrible heart burn. But I found things like milkshakes helped a lot.

By the end of it I hadn't been outside for months, my DH had taken over all the food shopping, cooking, cleaning, washing and ironing.

I hear it compares to say a chemotherapy patient actually.

Yep, I took cyclazine too in the first trimester. It really is fine.
Siarie, what you've described is exactly like what I was like.

Hope it passes quickly Cupcake Flowers

Cupcake92 · 10/03/2015 18:46

Hmm well I think if this carries on or gets worse then I might go to the GPs cause I feel awful. These bands are stopping me being sick but I still feel very nauseous. And tbh I'd rather not wear the bands all day as they are quite tight.
If I'm not better by my midwife appt next Wednesday ill book a gp appt then

Has your horrid H moved out now Cupcake? Hope you feel better soon, I really feel for you Flowers
How long until your scan?

lillamyy1 · 11/03/2015 00:01

Ducky, how are things with you? Any news on the b*h from H's work??

lillamyy1 · 11/03/2015 00:10

My DP and I still haven't agreed on a name for our little man! He really wants to give him a French name (DP's half French, although he doesn't speak French, doesn't have anything to do with the French side of his family and doesn't seem very interested in going there!) tbh I think it would be a bit pretentious to give our baby a French name when he'll be English Hmm What does everyone else think?

Cupcake92 · 11/03/2015 00:10

No lill he goes on the 1st. He's hardly here much but he's here tonight on sofa.

see it's like tonight I can't sleep as I feel so sick :( feel like I'm about to throw up which actually I think I might.
Feel like I need to put my travel bands back on :(

Oh Cupcake Flowers is there anything to eat or drink that you've found helps? I found hunger made it worse, although I know how difficult it is to actually eat anything! I found sucking mints helped quite a lot.

mrsmugoo · 11/03/2015 07:02

Ladies can I join?? How very exciting!

I'm TTC #2 but DS1 was an accident (a happy one!) so I've never actually done the whole TTC thing before.

I'm ov-ing at the weekend so it's almost game-time!

Ducky23 · 11/03/2015 07:05

No updates there yet lil, I think he's being very careful with it all!!

Oh cupcake Confused hope the ms isn't too bad for too long!

I'm exhausted, ds was doing so well, he was sleeping from about 8/9pm until 4am, having a feed then sleeping until 8 am but for the past few days he's been having a feed around 3/4am then waking at 5am screaming until 6.30ish when he has a poo Hmm he's not constipated (I think) because his poo is not firm or anythig, he's also started eating a bit less Hmm there's always something to worry about!

Ducky23 · 11/03/2015 07:05

Ohhh welcome mrsmugoo!! Grin

Cupcake92 · 11/03/2015 08:25

Lill i keep trying to eat little and often but it's after I've eaten I start to think about what I've eaten and the thought makes me feel very sick lol! But the mints are a good idea :) I've got fruit polos which I keep sucking on as they taste nice haha!! Grin will have to get the mint ones next time.

Ducky bless DS. I found that as soon as one thing ends another starts. The 1st year is very difficult as they get absolutely every thing and are always ill. Hope he becomes himself soon :)

Welcome Mrsmugoo! :)

Lil I think what's most important is you pick a name you both like. But yes picking a French name but because of some distant French family seems a bit overkill.

It's nice when you have a name, DH and me call ours by her name so often she will know it by the time she makes an appearance!

Welcome mrsmug!

ducky I read in a book that it's quite common for sleep patterns to randomly change at a certain point but I can't remember why. Which isn't terribly helpful, I'm sure it was all part of the process though.

I hope you do feel better soon cupcake but at least you know it will pass. A temporary blip of horribleness for something wonderful.

I'm trying to finish my hospital bag, as I just had a feeling I won't make it to 40 weeks. I don't care either way it's not like it's long to go but I feel under prepared right now.

My arms are so muscly! I've been using them so much to pick myself up or roll around that the muscles have grown. By the end of the evening my arms are tired and my poor DH has to help me off the floor! I was trying some yoga to get the baby to engage as she's been lying transverse.

How old is ds mrsmugoo?

How many weeks are you now siarie? I had my bag ready at 26 weeks on advice from the consultant, I loved getting it ready!

How you feeling cupcake?

I called HV earlier due to ds not eating much, I explained his 'symptoms' and straight away she said he's teething, I got him some teething gel and a teething dummy thing and he's been much happier Smile

Siarie · 11/03/2015 15:37

33+2 today ducky seeing as I've had three false alarms now I felt like I needed to finish it off. Wish I didn't wait so long now as it's hard walking around!

She's now moved into engaged position from what I can feel so at least if she does make an appearance that's good.

lillamyy1 · 11/03/2015 18:06

Welcome mrsmugoo! Good luck for this weekend Grin
Cupcake, I rennet now that the same happened to me - I ate so many things that I felt sick at the thought of afterwards that I went off loads of different foods! Most of them I still can't stomach the thought of now, like anything with chicken or beef stock and loads of other things. Maybe you could try quite bland things like porridge and cereal? I lived on cereal for the first three months and still eat a lot of it now as my nausea has come back a little bit in the last couple of days and I've lost my appetite massively.
Ducky, so glad it's only teething! Poor little DS, it must be so horrible for him. But he'll be so cute with a little tooth or two!!
Siarie, my little chap hasn't engaged yet an I'm starting to be a bit concerned. I'm measuring big for 35 weeks because he's not engaged, and even though he is head down, I think he's back to back and I can feel his little hands waving about low down at the front. I'd been bouncing on my birth ball but it made my PGP(/SPD) reeeeeally bad. I really hope he turns round and engages in time because I want to have as little intervention as poss and especially don't want an epidural Confused

lillamyy1 · 11/03/2015 18:07

Haha not "I rennet", "I remember"! Bloody phone...
