March bus for those of us who drive right on through feb without stopping!

shinysparklythings · 28/01/2015 07:26

Hope nobody minds, Thought I'd start a march bus especially for those people like me who skip feb out due to it being 28 days and having a 32 day cycle, or those already kicked off the feb bus. But all are welcome expecting bfps in March!

Found the jan bus was a great place to be to discuss the madness that is ttc!

So welcome aboard! Grin

I sometimes think that all these things that are supposed to make ttc easier just end up confusing us all!

I know nothing about temping, but the few charts I have seen have all been different.

Dizzy i think yours are normal. Mine are definitely low but i remember being told something about my thyroids a couple of years ago and the doc said he wasnt concerned. Will check it out if we arent pg in the next 6 months.

Shiny i agree!

chasingtherainbow · 22/02/2015 10:50

Definitely confusing and stressful

And no sign of any more ewcm.

I feel like shouting to my uterus "WHAT'S GOING ON IN THERE!!!" .. dh and I need a break, I don't think we will dtd tonight. If we can definitely. . But I'd like to try and dtd at least one last time tomorrow but he's not home till late so that could be a flop. . Maybe I can coax a midnight fumble out of him when we've both had a few zzzs.

I was really banking on that pos opk today. My heart sank when I saw it was blank and even more so when I saw the test stick itself. I know they say the stick isn't relevant but you can usually see some indication. ... I am tired chasing dd around all day and we are both back at work tomo. I work 11 hr days and dh says he's working on tomo but unsure how long for.. so could be home at 8.30 or gone ten. . . .

Feeling a bit miserable tbh. I think we are out this cycle. I don't think I'm ovulating at all. I hear it's pretty common to just miss it one month.

also clinging on to the hope that if I had O really early these are implantation cramps

nightandthelight · 22/02/2015 11:39

Just had an amazing morning run on the beach and managed to forget about everything TTC related :) can highly recommend it! Sorry for those feeling down Flowers

Riceicle1 · 22/02/2015 12:40

Just popping in to say hi, and I'm sorry to everyone who is feeling down or had bad news Flowers I'm on the 2ww now but I think we have very little chance this week because of my uti Sad

adora1985 · 22/02/2015 13:27

Thanks all, it's incredibly disheartening, and I've only been referred at all as I have an amazing GP now, who pushed to get me referred, my old GP dismissed me as not knowing what I was talking about when I said something was wrong. He even told me after the mcs that I clearly didn't understand how making babies worked, and I must have read the +ve tests wrong.
Anyway, it is good to know that I'm not going crazy and it is something that can be sorted.
spinning they haven't given me any indication of when the op will be yet. My US was on Thursday night, I was told then what the situation was, and asked if I had any tests left to be done (which I don't). She said that they'd write to my consultant in the next week, and then the consultant would write to me, if I've not ward anything within two weeks I need to phone the clinic. I'm optimistically hoping to hear something this week, ideally just a date for the op that's not too far away. I hope that I don't need to go back to the consultant and then be referred for the op, as it's 6-8 weeks wait just for a consultant app, and then whatever wait time for the op.

victoria401 · 22/02/2015 15:06

Wow I can't believe that the GP said that to you adora glad you're finally getting some help now though.

Cd8 here. Just wiped after a no.2 (tmi Blush ) and I have left over brown af gunge plus strings of ewcm! Didn't really want to dtd today as I'm having a Sunday can't be bothered to shower day. Mind you if dh hasn't showered either we can have 'dirty' sex! Grin

Southy84 · 22/02/2015 15:20

I had a flashy smiley on my clearblue OPK on Friday (cd17)- this was my first day of flashy smiley and it went to solid smiley Saturday morning (cd18) just wondering if it's normal to go from nothing to flashy then to solid smiley in such a short space of time? Just being a bit of a worrier I think, being first month of using these OPKs I am a bit of a novice, just hoping the results are correct. If it is correct it is good timing as dh works away during the week. Anyone else had this experience?

MrsGingerbread · 22/02/2015 17:51

Hi southy

Yes, perfectly normal. Last month my first flashing smiley went to a static smiley later that afternoon! I decided it was a 0-to-60 egg. :)

Southy84 · 22/02/2015 19:00

That's a relief thanks mrsgingerbread, it really does show how small that window of opportunity is!

CoffeeTwo · 22/02/2015 19:17

Hi all.

Laughing so much at ovulating from the left dude and getting DH in the mood by playing eye of the tiger Grin

sorry to hear about your need for an operation adora fingers crossed your bfp won't be long after it.

sorry you're having a screwy cycle chasing. I have had a couple recently and I find my mood much lower when I don't have a clue what's going on. I'm on my second month of temping and love that it gives me a deeper insight into my cycles (and find that occasional night waking doesn't have too much of an impact).

southy that happened to me last month, nothing then one day of flashy then solid smiley the next day! I was glad as it meant I had extra sticks for this month :)

victoria the same thing happened to me today! I normally have a 4 or 5 day AF but I'm still getting light traces of AF today (CD9) which never happens, with lots of what looks like ewcm! I normally ovulate around CD22 so not a clue but will dtd just in case!

Rainy34 · 22/02/2015 19:52

Hi ladies i need a bit of help,

I am using a cbfm, i got my first peak On Thursday, we dtd then, Friday i had my second peak and ewcm, Saturday it went to high and was watery cm, today it went back to low, when i wiped i had a tiny amount of cervical mucas that i could stretch a little and it had a bit of brown colour through it, and when i feel in my cervix and pull my finger out it there is nothing to be seen but feels like lotion almost , my apps say i am not fertile today, what do you all think, and to put spanner in the works DH has had upset tummy the last few days including tonight so i doubt we will be dtd anyway, i am so scared that iv wasted another cycle

Southy84 · 22/02/2015 20:23

Yes coffeetwo I am pleased as I have 11 left Smile so should be enough for next month! I debated buying more as they are on offer at the mo, but hoping I won't need to (deep down I know I will- but don't want my dh to think I'm obsessed)

chasingtherainbow · 22/02/2015 21:01

... I've got a feeling ov is happening. .. dh doesn't want sex and I'm not sure he'll be up for it tomorrow either. Fuck Sad I shouldn't have gone for it yesterday and should have stuck to eod.

Amyyy27 · 22/02/2015 21:07

Oh no chasing :( is there no way he would change his mind? Hope he does x

chasingtherainbow · 22/02/2015 21:31

He's got a sore on his willy too much sex and is tired. I've burnt him out. Can't believe it. Sad

CoffeeTwo · 22/02/2015 21:34

Maybe if he has a rest tonight he'll be up for a quickie tomorrow and you can catch the egg?

chasingtherainbow · 22/02/2015 21:44

I can hope .. we'll see what tomorrow's opk brings.

Never mind. If it isn't meant to be this month then nothings going to change that. Will try to seduce him tomorrow and then step back and accept that it's out of my hands now. . . If the opks are pos 12-24 hrs before the egg is actually released then surly I'd be Oving cd16/17.. that's like 3 days later than last month!?

juneybean · 22/02/2015 21:49

Sorry Chasing :( Hope you get a chance tomorrow!

Amyyy27 · 22/02/2015 21:54

Dont blame yourself! I agree he may feel better after a rest tonight. I would also suggest that nurse chasing could help soothe the sore with some cream Grin i bet he wont complain! Blush

Ive also heard a few things can put O back a few days like stress etc so that might have played a part? Youre right though what will be will be. Sperm can survive up to 5 days so you arent out this month even if you dont dtd tonight/tomorrow :)

GotTheKey · 22/02/2015 22:23

Hope everyone is well! Sorry I find it hard to keep up with all these pages.
Me and DH back from holiday today, I had EWCM on weds this week and according to normal cycle I would have ovd the next day but then today I had EWCM againConfused just DTD again to be safe!
Anyone get random EWCM?!!

allatonce99 · 22/02/2015 22:28

Hi ladies,
Hoping to join this thread, I was briefly on the busses back in September when I thought falling preggers was as easy as dtd in the middle of the cycle... A bit of a reality slap when I realised it wasn't! Any ways.... Onto cycle 6 and I did the whole opks, caugh syrup for extra EWCM, drunk the orange juice in first part of cycle then pineapple juice in the second I ate the nuts, thought positively and..... Nada!! So here I am allatonce99 27 TTC #1 cycle 7 bfp due 21st March.
Here's hoping that it works out for us all this time. Hello to those faces I recognise from before, sorry you guys are still on this journey and hopefully we all will be more successful in March!

MaMaPo · 23/02/2015 03:43

Hi allatonce - I'm still here too. Boo. Hopefully the last bus for both of us.

Adora, your last GP was a massive arsehole. Could you complain to the practice manager about him being a condescending dick? Not to mention terrible at his job!

I have the same situation as Victoria - I use a CBAFM and have just gone from three days of Low reading to a Peak this morning. Skipped High completely. Our DTD has been well timed so far, just need to have another couple of goes. Apparently this just represents a rapid surge. Maybe this is why I never got a positive OPK - my surge from 0 to 60 might be very rapid and if I wasn't using OPKs often enough I probably missed it.

Rainy, it sounds like you're new to the CBFM? It's good to know that there is an automatic set of readings once you hit Peak - I think the monitor tends to automatically show Peak Peak High Low until you stop feeding sticks to it. I got my Peak this morning so I will input that into FF, plus another Peak tomorrow (even though I won't test for it). I'm not sure if you're using the older monitor, or the new Advanced one with a touchscreen... There was a Q&A here (www.mumsnet.com/Talk/sponsored_qas/a2173590-ANSWERS-BACK-TTCing-Have-a-question-about-Clearblue-fertility-conception-and-pregnancy-products) and the following question and answer were given:

"Q: Why does the Advanced Fertility Monitor insist you keep testing after your peak and 1 following high have ended? This seems like a waste of money for those using. These things aren't cheap!

A: The Clearblue Advanced Fertility Monitor is programmed to ask for tests in sets of ten, so it will always request either ten or twenty tests per cycle but if you prefer to stop testing once you have found Peak Fertility that is fine. You will need to make sure you have sufficient tests of the same lot number left for the next cycle of testing - if you need them."

Rainy, if I were you I'd DTD if it puts your mind at rest, but I think its common to have some CM after ovulation - I usually get creamy type. I wouldn't worry about having a High after the Peak reading. If you temp as well then you will be able to see whether your ovulation temp rise coincides with the Peak readings on the CBFM. I have been using the monitor for about 4 cycles now and its pretty consistent.

coffeenut · 23/02/2015 05:04

yes I get that gotthekey?! Odd isn't it?

fingers crossed that he changes his mind chasing but like amyyy27 says, you not out yet!

I felt ill after having a coffee today and then had a huge headspin getting the Dcs out of the car. Something is definitely going on, but I think it's more like a virus than preg symptoms at this stage.

chasingtherainbow · 23/02/2015 06:38

I often get random ewcm. In fact I very rarely get the creamy stuff mamapo mentions, which is annoying as it's a sign ov has passed.

So. Another neg opk. I was definitely having that dull ache that you get pre AF overnight and I thought some extra stuff going on towards my left. I was sure that if I am Oving later that I'd get a pos today. I am completely confuzzled- zero ewcm this am. Not that there's been much at all. I can't understand this!
