March bus for those of us who drive right on through feb without stopping!

Hope nobody minds, Thought I'd start a march bus especially for those people like me who skip feb out due to it being 28 days and having a 32 day cycle, or those already kicked off the feb bus. But all are welcome expecting bfps in March!

Found the jan bus was a great place to be to discuss the madness that is ttc!

So welcome aboard! Grin

Shinysparklythings 29, ttc#1, cycle 2, bfp due 1st march.

CD3 and can't wait to start dtd again and this time will be dtd every other day. Will start temping from tomorrow and have ordered opk's.
Have also decided to go back to GP to voice my concerns and hopefully get bloods tests done to check everything is ok and also ask to be referred back to gynae/fertility clinic as I have a feeling that ttc #2 will not be easy for us. Haven't used contraception for 6 years and only had one pregnancy resulting in DD. We were hoping it would just happen for us but talked it through last month and decided that we would dtd every other day, although we we didn't this month.
Sorry for the moany post. Found out someone we know is expecting their 5th child and announced their first pregnancy when we started ttc 6 years ago. I am happy for them but feel so rubbish that it hasn't happened for us again Sad

juneybean · 16/02/2015 00:00

oh that's really touch cookie :( fertile bastards! x

CookieDough9 · 16/02/2015 00:18

I was thinking the exact thing juney but didn't want to come across too bitter! I dread bumping into people these days in case I spot a bump. One of my friends(!) makes a point of telling me her 'good news' in person silly cow. I would prefer a simple text so I can compose myself.
I probably sound ungrateful considering people on here are ttc#1 but I'm really not. DD is the best thing to have happened to us but we would love to have another child.
Right that's it with the me, me, me posts, sorry

eleganthedgehog · 16/02/2015 00:20

Finished the ttc part of the month...not sure how well we timed it as the day after we started the every other day method I got positive opk (days earlier than expected) so became every day for 4 days. We shall see I guess. Anyone else in tww yet? Sort of wish I was temp charting just for something to do!

Fwiw went with one folded pillow for 15 minutes and then trying to sleep on back or side. I'm sure it probably doesn't make any difference.

Sorry to see so many of you from feb bus on here, hopefully this will be a better month.

juneybean · 16/02/2015 00:21

I'm very bitter don't worry!

I stopped talking to a friend as she announced her pregnancy after getting pregnant on the first month (well actually it was because she only text me when she wanted something...)

But it's still hard and 6 years is a long time!

juneybean · 16/02/2015 00:22

Fingers crossed for you elegant I'm joining 2ww tomorrow...! I should actually go to bed since I'm AI at 6am! Maybe I should just do it before bed....

CookieDough9 · 16/02/2015 00:34

Fx crossed for you both juney and elegant.
juney if you don't mind me asking is this the first time you're doing AI?

juneybean · 16/02/2015 00:35

I did two rounds of DIUI last year but it's my first time doing it at home....eek!

GotTheKey · 16/02/2015 00:38

Hy ladies,
Trying to keep up to day with this thread but we are away with limited internet! Officially started trying yesterday, with my fertile days beginning today. DH was apprehensive but seems to be getting into the science of it now lol! I just read your posts about pillows under bottom...am trying that now but last night I just went to sleep and didn't pee until morning!
Good luck to all this month xx

CookieDough9 · 16/02/2015 00:44

Sounds exciting juney, good luck.
When we were ttc DD, I often wanted to ask DH for his sperm in a cup so I could I do it myself as I couldn't muster the courage to dtd, it got tedious after a while and took the fun away.

CookieDough9 · 16/02/2015 00:48

Good luck gotthekey. I will be doing bum pillows when I get a positive on opk

GotTheKey · 16/02/2015 01:38

Good luck to you too!

Not doing OPKs this month as we are on holiday but will next if not successful xx

shinysparklythings · 16/02/2015 07:09

Hi everyone, welcome aboard, sorry that some of you are joining yet another bus, but I have positive feelings about this.

I'm in the tww as well, which is horrible! I am trying some positive visualisation to try and get me through it. Bfp not even due till March 1st so trying to not symptom spot but it's hard as I want this so much.

I also get green with envy when I see lovely baby bumps everywhere. More so I think because I have even married for almost 5 years but due to finances etc we have only just started trying cycle#2 and quite a few friends have recently had honeymoon babies. I feel awful for the way I feel. But ttc turns me into a crazy lady. Confused

I adopted an upside down position on the sofa after dtd with my legs in the air much to dh's amusementGrin.

Is anyone else due bfp in March 1st?

Love the pillow talk! (See what I did there?) You guys are fabulous!

Cd13. Ff is suddenly thinking I ov-ed threw days again. I'm planning to kill ff for talking such nonsense.
glances around nervously, bites nails with worry she completely missed the window

Sweets27 · 16/02/2015 07:16

Morning ladies, just checking in! Smile

I've had a really busy weekend, totally abandoned MN, and now there's so much to catch up on...! Sorry to all those joining from Feb bus, fx that March is the lucky month.

I have just had first flashing smiley of the month, so the game is on! Will definitely be trying out The Kebab Wink

Sweets27 · 16/02/2015 07:17

aurora, best pun I've heard all weekend.

Sweets27 · 16/02/2015 07:19

Oh and as alternative to The Kebab, my dh has suggested that after dtd he should stand next to bed, grab my ankles, hoist them up into the air and "jiggle them around a bit" to shake things nicely down to my cervix. And they say romance is dead.

auroraboringalis · 16/02/2015 07:22

threw days again wtf? Three days ago! Three days ago! Hmm
Thanks sweets. I'm putting it onto my CV forthwith! Grin

auroraboringalis · 16/02/2015 07:23

Ankle-hoisting? Shock

Sweets27 · 16/02/2015 07:29

Yeas, not sure it's an officially sanctioned conception aid, but hey, I'll give anything a try!

juneybean · 16/02/2015 07:44

I should be bfp on 1st march! I'm expected to ov today did an insem at 2.30am (was too excited to wait til morning...!)

MrsGingerbread · 16/02/2015 07:46

Oh Yay! Go JuneySwimmers Go! :)

Cariad2014 · 16/02/2015 07:47

Morning lovely ladies - you've definitely brightened up my day with all your talk of kebabs and ankle in the air jiggles. Personally, I'm a one pillow lady myself. I tend to rotate quickly, put a pillow under my bottom, and rest my feet on the wall behind our bed. Does anyone dtd with a pillow underneath them? I read somewhere that this could be beneficial? We tried it once but DH wasn't a fan.

Sorry you were feeling blue yesterday MrsG. This ttc journey is
so very tough and it's really difficult to remain upbeat all the time.

I even had a bit of a wobble yesterday when I realised Benedict Cumberbatch's wife was pregnant - sometimes it just feels as though it's happening for everyone else other than us.

CD4 at this end (yawn!)

Cariad2014 · 16/02/2015 08:11

Yay Juney - woop woop!

chasingtherainbow · 16/02/2015 08:19

Ohhhh lots of people on the two week wait now!

I'm due to ov around Sunday or Monday, started EOD DTD as of last night. Did first opk this am and got a blank face as expected but the stick showed a 2nd line so I'm hopeful ill have another day 14 ov and 28 day cycle (without the AF!)

sorry I missed the previous convo. I do pillows under the bum and legs up and orgasm I hear there's bugger all evidence to say it helps but it feels proactive?

I have a Q. Does anyone else find sex uncomfortable during fertile period. It seems to set off period like cramps/dull ache for me and (don't laugh) ends up feeling like he's just poking my cervix and making me sore.
