Are you trying to get pregnant this month? Are you sick to the back teeth of sex? Would you give your right arm for a BFP? Are you spotting symptoms like an anoraked geek spots birds? Then this is the bus for you...FEBRUARY CONCEPTIONS AHOY! Grin

I hope Bovney and emma and sweets are okay Thanks

Knit, I'm sorry about your DH's seizure; I guess you are both used to them? You and I are cycle buddies this month Smile When do you expect to ovulate? I'm CD17 Hmm

Sparkly, today's spunk-dump will most certainly not be the lucky one - it's ten days from ovulation!

Permission granted.
I'd however like to point out that there is also the rooftop dining possibility, where those of us who don't know what the fuck is going on are clinging blindly to the sides of the top of the bus, spilling gin everywhere and generally getting our fannies placated by the wind-chill factor after much over-shagging.
I'm currently looking around me and there's definitely room up here. Bring chocolate.

MissMrsMummy · 29/01/2015 16:42

Hello girls. I am bored and want to poas (1dpo, most likely to be bfn) but if I were to test with a frer does it have to be FMU or if not how long do I have to hold my pee?

australopithecus · 29/01/2015 16:44

purdey I remember my gynae who is involved in research too telling me that under the right conditions (happy sperm happy uterus) sperm can live up to twelve days rather than the normal five to seven/eight.
The question is: is the house looking comfortable, and the buyers perky? In which case ten days might just do it!

KnitFastDieWarm · 29/01/2015 16:44

Yeah Purdey looks like cd 16 or 17 is ov day for me too!

I'm used to DH's seizures (although moving an unconscious 6'5 bloke into the recovery position is not the easiest undertaking Grin) but he wakes up so confused and upset, bless him - he usually has temporary amnesia so it's quite scary for him. Sadly if/when we do have a baby it also means no co-sleeping Sad

KnitFastDieWarm · 29/01/2015 16:45

Haha! Let's hope so as Purdey and I have the same cycle this month and I've also been indulging in some pre-emptive shagging...

loopylou1984 · 29/01/2015 16:48

Lol Austral, that made me laugh... My colleagues now think I am an insane person laughing to myself on the other side of the office!!
Although preferable to the crying version who was here earlier, I've convinced myself I'm out as my temp dropped this morning and it dawned on me that if this is true then I'm not going to have a baby by the time I turn 30 Hmm
Feels like a big milestone right now. X

australopithecus · 29/01/2015 16:49

Oh knit that's not nice about the amnesia. About co-sleeping. Think of it this way, there are so many people trying to convince you to is right or wrong, that having an actual real-life reason like the seizures means that you don't have to deal with all the evidence for or against, or with trying to argue your beliefs with someone else. It's one less thing to try and make your mind up about in the guilt-inducing bog that is 'should I or shouldn't I do xyz when raising my child'.

KnitFastDieWarm · 29/01/2015 16:49

Joins australopithecus on gin-sodden WTF top deck of bus

In the past week, four different people have asked me if I am pregnant while I am in the ACT OF DRINKING a large glass of wine (or in one case, neat whiskey)...are they trying to tell me something about what kind of dreadful slatternly mother they think I'll be? Hmm

australopithecus · 29/01/2015 16:50

makes space for all and sundry

KnitFastDieWarm · 29/01/2015 16:52

australopithecus that's a very good point! At least 'we're not co-sleeping because my husband might squish the baby while in the throes of a grand mal epileptic seizure' is fairly hard for the most opinionated naysayers to argue with! Grin

Poor DH. He's not really as much as a liability as he sounds, honest...

australopithecus · 29/01/2015 16:52

Damn, DC just woke up. Just as I was starting to enjoy myself here. Feck it all.

PurdeyBirdie · 29/01/2015 17:00

Austral, you make me chortle like no-one's business. I thought only Indian ragamuffins clung to tops of buses, but it sounds like great fun except the protracted shagging

Knit, you are missing precisely nothing by not co-sleeping with a nipper. No-one actually sleeps, marriages are wrecked and some babies suck the breast all night long just for a laugh. And then refuse to go into their own room. In fact, lots of co-sleeping mums end up moving to university with their offspring just to get them to sleep. I may have exaggerated that last bit.

After a stupid 23 day cycle, my period has completely disappeared after 2.5 days. It is normally about 4 I think (although it has varied a bit more since mc).

Wtf?! Confused

Why is my body fucking about like this? I just want it to have normal, predictable cycles so DH and I don't wear ourselves out by shagging every morning, noon, and night for a fortnight each month, "just in case".

Could it have been an anovulatory cycle last month?

Lillygolightly · 29/01/2015 17:09

Thanks PerdeyBirdie - whilst I don't know the reference meaning of up top dining or downstairs with t'plebs....I'll be honest and confess outwardly I like to look like an up top foodie sort of gal but in reality I'm def down with the plebs.

MissMiss - I would say that 1 DPO is too early to test even with FMU, I would hang on for another few days yet, as frustrating as I know that is, it save pennies and disappointment. The earliest I've tested in the past and gotten a positive result is 5 days before AF was due.

TheSortingCat · 29/01/2015 17:09

Although I thought anovulatory cycles were generally longer, not shorter.

Argh.

MissMrsMummy · 29/01/2015 17:14

OMGGGGGG 10dpo hahah TEN TEN TEN not one lollll

You must have though I was INSANE...nobody tests at 1dpo haha

So 10dpo... His long shall I hold my pee?

MissMrsMummy · 29/01/2015 17:15

*how long

MissMrsMummy · 29/01/2015 17:15

Ps lilly thank you for responding so politely Smile

TheSortingCat · 29/01/2015 17:16

Lilly It all depends on whether you are a quinoa or an alphabites girl...

I was on the bottom of the bus, but now I am with austral on the 'gin terrace', having lost my final marble earlier this afternoon.

Hope you are ok sammy. I passed that milestone a little while ago and it isn't an easy one.

PurdeyBirdie · 29/01/2015 17:16

Was MissMummy being serious about testing at 1dpo? Confused

Lilly, sorry, the reference about top and bottom decks was to do with some weirdos veggies talking about eating cork kitchen tiles and stuff and some of the proletariats (me) were stating their predilection for Alphabites. We decided oyster-loving, tofu-guzzling pomegranate fans could assemble upstairs whilst us plebs can sit downstairs eating margerine butties.

Sorting, anovulatory cycles can indeed be short. You will only know by charting your temps. Some research suggests every woman has at least two anovulatory cycles per year, but I simply don't believe that. I've charted for three years (except when pregnant) and never seen an anovulatory cycle - except immediately after a mmc.

Grin at POAS 1dpo.

PurdeyBirdie · 29/01/2015 17:18

Bless you, Miss, I have to admit I was thinking you sounded a little, erm..delicate of mind Grin
