Are you trying to get pregnant this month? Are you sick to the back teeth of sex? Would you give your right arm for a BFP? Are you spotting symptoms like an anoraked geek spots birds? Then this is the bus for you...FEBRUARY CONCEPTIONS AHOY! Grin

Hi brioche there are people far more qualified than me on here to advise on timing of dtd etc but I do know that folic acid is essential! Welcome to the bus :)

TarkaTheOtter · 26/01/2015 18:34

Tentative congratulations allstop!

Beckygrace1992 · 26/01/2015 18:39

I'm due on 4th feb !! I'm in two minds right now I hope I don't come on and it's my time and then I hope I come on if I'm not pregnant as my periods are all over the place Sad ttc for over a year and today been referred for a blood test and scan to see what's up !

Has anyone else had to have these ? A part of me doesn't want to know so I can pretend everything's fine !!

I hope it's my month this month Smile and everyone gets the result they want

Grabbing a seat - thanks Purdey
Should I be taking Folic acid whilst TTC? It made me so sick in my last pregnancy that I stopped early on.
Oh, a bit ahead of myself but I noticed that the FRER tests are £6.50 for a pack of 2 in Tesco, cheaper than everywhere else!

kissinggiraffe My cm is like that, I'm worrying that means I haven't/won't ovulate as got my smiley on CB OV test on Sat but still no EWCM

catlady87 · 26/01/2015 18:46

Is it bad luck to reserve a seat here when I'm still hangin' on to Jan bus? Can you tell I'm feeling pessimistic tonight... ??

nightandthelight · 26/01/2015 18:48

Hi Blondie govt recommendations are three months before conception. Did you try just folic acid or was it one of the conception vits as I have heard that they can cause nausea?

KnitFastDieWarm · 26/01/2015 18:51

Ooh a bfp already! rubs hands Congrats!

purdey thanks for the mental image of 'rutting wild pigs' which caused me to snort in an unladylike (indeed, pig-like) fashion on the bus earlier. An elderly man gave me a look...
It's a good thing I don't need to get an erection for this shagging malarkey because that mental image is not conducive to erotic thoughts!

KnitFastDieWarm · 26/01/2015 18:53

Also I've acquired some conceive plus which my husband has named 'baby lube'

He also said he felt like the baby pictured on the box was judging him Grin

Yes, it's erotica central in the knitfast household Wink

tessiegirl · 26/01/2015 18:53

Oooooh yes, may try quinoa with pomegranate and spinach...very healthy Sparkly! Pomegranates seem to be in season over here as they are everywhere at the moment and I only saw them in the supermarket today and was wondering what I could have them with...mmmmm!

Yes, may try AI tomorrow and Wednesday on peak days...DH is up for it too...can't hurt!

BriocheBriocheBrioche · 26/01/2015 18:53

Hi night I have just started taking folic acid, I've had it for months but kept forgetting so it's by my breakfast stuff now Grin

nightandthelight · 26/01/2015 18:56

That's the way I do it brioche and it definitely helps me remember :)

blondiewoowoo1 · 26/01/2015 18:56

Hi night
Umm it probably was a multi vitamin type - it was almost 4yrs ago so cant remember!
I will go and get some folic acid tomorrow and start taking.

victoria401 · 26/01/2015 18:58

I've had the tests done Becky. How long have you been ttc? You need to have a 'day 21' blood to test for ovulation. Its only day 21 if you have a 28 day cycle otherwise it needs to be 7 days before your period is due. They may take bloods on day 3 too to check your lh, fsh and prolactin. If your lh:fsh is not 1:1 it may indicate pcos. The scan will be after bleeding finishes and before you ov, usually before day 10. It will probably be internal but I had both external (with full bladder!) And internal (with empty bladder) on the same day. They check your uterus shape and your ovaries and tubes to see if there are any budding follicles. Good luck!

nightandthelight · 26/01/2015 18:59

Yeah I have heard that the multivitamins can make people feel ill, a single folic acid tablet will hopefully be better for you :) so important for avoiding neural tube defects.

australopithecus · 26/01/2015 19:02

Thank you purdey. Neat buswork!
Thanks also to those whole replied at the end of the last thread about OPKs and faint days! Really helpful. OPKs are the devil's work I warrant!
And hurray allstop for not stopping!

Twinkletoes007 · 26/01/2015 19:02

Found you all. Thanks for the new thread purdey.

BabyBumpHopeful · 26/01/2015 19:10

Jumping aboard :) Will post the seat allocation when I get home. Anyone needing to be added post your details -

name, age, TTC#, Cycle#, BFP Due

Good luck to us all!

Beckygrace1992 · 26/01/2015 19:13

Hi victoria thank you, I've been ttc for 14 months but in the 14 months I've had only 5 periods which were never the same length or time but I think I do have a longer cycle about 32+ days but because mine are so rare they have just booked me for my bloods on Friday ? Is this a bad thing ? I general believe I have PCOS but then I shouldnt diagnose myself ! I was on the pill for 6 years and before that I only ever had a few periods

spinningirl10 · 26/01/2015 19:16

Quinoa is fab! I've just had it for dinner with roasted veg (butternut squash, celeriac, courgette, cherry toms and spinach.) you can also make porridge with itGrin

nightandthelight · 26/01/2015 19:18

Pretty sure all this talk of quinoa makes us a very middle class bus!

dojo123 · 26/01/2015 19:21

Wowzers this bus is already flying!

Parking arse on seat. Thank you Purdey.

Congrats Allstop FX for more BPFs.

dojo123 · 26/01/2015 19:22

BFPs - too much time in front of the computer today, I can no longer type.

TakesTwoToTango · 26/01/2015 19:25

Hi all! Thanks for the new bus!

Congrats allstop!

Still in cycle confusion here. Smiley face one day, not the next, then another smiley face this morning (I have always had more than one day of smileys every cycle I've used them for three pgs and irrespective of time of day testing - I am clearly a medical anomaly!!). Temps also inconclusive so no idea if I've oved or not. Not sure how much longer we can sustain eod! Wink

PurdeyBirdie · 26/01/2015 19:31

...not as middle class as pomegranates!
