Are you trying to get pregnant this month? Are you sick to the back teeth of sex? Would you give your right arm for a BFP? Are you spotting symptoms like an anoraked geek spots birds? Then this is the bus for you...FEBRUARY CONCEPTIONS AHOY! Grin

Hi all! Just checking up to make sure I don't miss any bfp's :)
Hope all are ok x

PurdeyBirdie · 28/01/2015 18:36

Sarky!, I love that you are 21 and ttc your second. Keep poppin' 'em out, love! Don't end up a washed-up alkie like me with diseased tubes from too much casual sex and a vagina like a trampled bat

Sparkly, I agree wi't'others. Let DH's spunk sperm have a fag and a brew.

Austral, it's a tricky one, is that. You may well have tested this arvo at the tail end of your surge, in which case you still have over 24 hours to get more spermz in situ. You said you were dying for a wee..could it be you drank too much to be able to test reliably? Urine does need to be concentrated (they advise not to drink at all for two hours before testing and to not have made frequent trips to the toilet. Absurd).

Thanks for the link Purdey!!!! Xx

SammyLou yes just on the mobile site rather than an app.

mummyofonesofar · 28/01/2015 18:49

sarky another youngun (waves) I'm 22 - not quite as young and bouncy and ttc Dc2 too ??

HeirToTheIronThrone · 28/01/2015 18:53

So another positive opk today though a bit fainter than yesterday... So will be jumping DH again - I'm glad I bought them as after two 43 day cycles I thought I wouldn't ov

HeirToTheIronThrone · 28/01/2015 18:54

Oops - stupid phone! Meant to say thought I wouldn't ov until much later this month so if I hadn't been bored and tested yesterday I would have missed it!

TheSortingCat · 28/01/2015 18:58

I think I am actually too stupid to be able to cope with opks. I have only ever found them completely baffling, so DH and I end up just dtd to be sure. Why do I need to piss on a stick to do that?! Confused

If you did AI yesterday Sparkly could you do it again tomorrow morning so you're more likely to have done it in your ov window? Tomorrow evening could be too late.

australopithecus · 28/01/2015 19:08

Post 'n run purdey I'd not been to the loo for four hours before testing and it was quite dark so took it to be okay. It is an absurd rule though you're right! Sure the tests were designed by men who don't realise a good 70% of women end up with bladder weakness after birth so how on cliff richard's funny head they are supposed to keep it in for so long is beyond me. Anyway, putting DC to bed and then off to hide in the cupboard in my sexiest pair of granny knickers, on your great advice! Xf. Flowers

browneyedgirl86 · 28/01/2015 19:12

Hi everyone and hello to any newbies!

Been to the doctor today and have a chest infection. That won't help symptom spotting in the 2ww!

sarkymare · 28/01/2015 19:13

How old is DC1 mummy?

Quick question. My last period was on the 9th. This was my first period after a pretty messy MMC. Do you think I can expect AF to come around the 6th?

mummyofonesofar · 28/01/2015 19:19

DS is 6 Blush had him very young. How old is your DC?

sarkymare · 28/01/2015 19:25

He was 1 in December. If all goes to plan this month I don't think a 22month age gap will be that hard. I'm willing to accept I'm probably being incredibly naive though.

mummyofonesofar · 28/01/2015 19:29

At least you'll be through the nappy phase all in one go. I am terrified slightly scared of the prospect of having the sleepless nights/night feeds/explosive poo/ never ending washing/vomit in your ear stage all over again now I'm used to my DS being so easy and helpful around the house.

PurdeyBirdie · 28/01/2015 19:29

I'm squealing at 'Cliff Richard's silly head'! Grin

Sorting, If I was having loads of sex - and enjoying it - I don't suppose I would bother with opk's either. However, some of us (me) don't have sex at all in the lead-up to ov. Only when that stripe appears do I get me gold disco Kylie hotpants on.

Sarky, it would be reasonable to expect your first post-mc cycle to be longer (and possibly anovulatory, sorry). I'm looking at a nineteen-month age gap if I get preggo this month Smile

Evening all Grin
I've kept my head down whilst I battle my latest uti - damn u body!!Confused

So just catching up - window cleaners? Bah far too poor and not domestic enough to have one of those!! Although endless amounts of builders and plasterers and roofers and plumbers and damp specialist have been through my home the last 18 mths! Wink

Purdey hats off to you for 4 yrs sober

Now random tmi question but does anyone else give off a bad odour around ov? Blush DH said that he's noticed something distinctly different in the vag area the last few months around my fertile time and I'm wondering if it's normal???

MaMaPo · 28/01/2015 19:38

Hello all, you bloody never shut up do you?Grin

CD11 here and on to my second High reading on the CBFM. Dtd as much as possible though neither feeling terribly in the mood. Off interstate this weekend for my husband's grandmother's funeral, very sad times. Also had some devastating news from a dear friend yesterday. At this stage, 2015 is shaping up to be a right fucker of a year.

Waiting for ov and then off to get some bloods done. I also have a referral for an ultrasound, anyone know if you can do that at any time in the cycle?

Right, time to get up. I can hear the toddler so now it's time to see whether her injured knee is so bad that I have to take the day off work and mess around with doctors and xrays.

Having a brilliant time, can you tell?

sarkymare · 28/01/2015 19:40

I did use OPKs and I think I had a positive on either the 19th or 20th so I assume I am ovulating. Well I hope so anyway. I had a UTI bang smack in the middle of ovulation. I'm not sure wether that will affect chances or not.

TheSortingCat · 28/01/2015 19:41

Re-reading what I wrote, I think it sounded waay more critical than it should have done. I was laughing at my own silliness - for using the opks, not really knowing what they mean, and then just going ahead and dtd anyway.

Definitely not criticising anyone else who uses them. Smile

To be honest, I wish I could understand mine a little more - but they seem to mostly depend on how diluted my wee is when I do them, rather than on anything else. Since my mc, my cycles have been a lot less predictable, so I have no idea when I'm ovulating.

I'm trying temping this month to see if that gives me any clues.

sarkymare · 28/01/2015 19:52

thesortingcat I haven't been getting on well with them either. I find them really confusing. I think I had a positive but wether the test line was actually darker I can't be sure. Like you we just DTD anyway.

sarkymare · 28/01/2015 19:55

That's my way of thinking mummy plus I feel quite bad for DS. I don't know a soul here and the playgroups are just patronising as hell. I feel really guilty he doesn't have another child to see/play with.

PurdeyBirdie · 28/01/2015 19:57

Oh crikey, Sorting, re-reading my post and it sounds indignant and sarcastic! Blush I'm sorry about that. I genuinely am Envy reading about these carefree, spontaneous & libidinous sexual relationships.
