Hi sarky you are most def in the right place! Hope the rest of your TWW flys by!

sarkymare · 28/01/2015 15:49

Thank you sparkly. I'm driving myself insane with the waiting! I'm really nervous. I so want to be pregnant again but I'm absolutely terrified.

mummyofonesofar · 28/01/2015 16:03

dogelove I also have a friends 30th but in March So I've for a cyclenow and then an ovulation around the time of the night out. Have been trying not to drink though except the tonns of wine I drank round said friends last weekend

PurdeyBirdie · 28/01/2015 16:19

Sparkly, forgive me, I've never ever used a flashing digi-type opk before, but can we ignore the LH surge line that is surely bound to appear within a few hours? Oh, why did you have to pull the blimmin' thing apart, missus! Grin Honestly though, what is the smiley thing doing if it's not measuring LH? Why the almost-as-strong line? Aaargh! I do so love the SMEP and I am almost 100% sure you would not ov earlier than usual in the first cycle post-mc. Sorry, I am sitting on the fence here and that is not my way...

dogelove, I'm sorry I - yet again - gave free rein to my sardonicism. I am simply jealous of the ability of the young and nubiles among you to actually plan your babies to the month. I wish, wish wish I had had children young.

I am a recovering alcoholic (no, I'm not kidding) and have been sober four years and five months Smile I do understand the love of drink (I wasn't always an alcoholic) and I still have tough times during my recovery - Christmas is always awful and so are hot summer days when everyone is barbequeing and drinking Pimms. Not being able to drink during my PND was also a killer; it is terrifying how we rely on alcohol for almost every emotion we experience and every event on the horizon.

Sarky, welcome to the bus (oysters and quinoa on the top deck, alphabites and margerine on the bottom). How fecking old are you? Smile

Hi - Me and my H were planning to TTC in Feb, however last time we weren't so careful and I have to wait until next week to take a test. I don't really want to say anything to him yet as I think he'd think I was crazy and Impatient but it's driving me made waiting to see if I am pregnant! I know that the chances are small but that doesn't help. ha

sarkymare · 28/01/2015 16:56

I usually say I'm a year older than what I am for potential outing purposes but fuck it. I'm 21 and have a 13mo DS.

sarkymare · 28/01/2015 16:57

And yes I probably am completely a bit mad Grin

victoria401 · 28/01/2015 17:13

purdey I class myself as alcohol dependant, may have been alcoholic at some point so I getcha hun. From age 17-30 I was drinking every day, bottle of wine a day mostly. 30-33 -really cut down as have no tolerance any more but still have glass of wine 3-6 times a week and I have mini freak outs if no booze in the house. 34-35 (now) and ttc I have a glass 3 times a week max. This month however to help out dh quit smoking I have been dry, first fortnight was hell and if bad day but not really thinking about it anymore! Sticking with my herbal teas on a night. Sure I've shed pounds. Sleeping so so well and deep! however dh broke his side of the bargain and smoked, bar-steward!

Sparkly123 · 28/01/2015 17:22

Alphabites!!!! Do they still make them?!?

Purdey you are quite something. Strong birdy! I can imagine how hard it is especially at Christmas and other events. 4 years 5 months and counting-You are Amazing. I'm a tee totaller Hmm so you can hide with me up the back, I'll bring you a nice green juice! Ha ha
With regards to the OPK- yes that's not a Purdey esq response! With the CB you have to take it apart as you have to eject the stick hence why I saw the lines. It's sooo confusing!round empty circles are not fertile.my ICs are always bang on with my CB. I dunno what to do, dh has already sent a text saying he ll be home soon and can do sample -bless him - but not sure whether to put him off until Tomor give the regeneration a chance since we AI last night and hopefully I'll have my peak fertile smile by then!!! Help meeeeeeee! Oh and re fertile cm, aye but if none then what chance do the swimmers have!!

Marmite27 · 28/01/2015 17:31

iPad is on charge so you'll have to make do with a squashed one from my phone!

DING! DING! The February bus is departing - destination Preggsville!
Nomio230 · 28/01/2015 17:37

Sparkly, I may be wrong, but if you did AI last night, I think there should still be some swimmers up there. I would wait & do it again tomorrow.

Purdey, four years plus is amazing. Well done. Grin

I don't really drink as I don't like the taste of alcohol, but my brother & dad are both alcoholics. My brother hasn't drunk for years now, as he is a single parent & knows he can't do that to the kids, but still finds it hard at times.

loopylou1984 · 28/01/2015 17:38

Hi everyone, I've been trying to follow the bus at work by having sneaky glances on my phone... But it moves so fast I think I've missed quite a bit!
I love alphabites!! Would definitely get some if they're still being made! Xx

Sparkly123 · 28/01/2015 17:41

Marmite I dont want to be responsible for over excitement.. But your chart looks pretty good to me!!!...

Nomio thanks, yeh that's true I just don't want to miss an opportunity! Ha ha . Must be really tough for your brother, it's an ongoing battle isn't it! Flowers

loopylou1984 · 28/01/2015 17:42

Ooh marmite, exciting!!
How do you upload pics from your phone?
U can't work it out on my app?
Unless you're just on the mobile web page of course? X

spinningirl10 · 28/01/2015 17:43

Dog, where are you in Spain? I lived near Seville for a couple of years.

Purdey, that's a long time to be dry, that's an amazing thing you've achieved.

I'm not a big drinker, never sit at home with a glass of wine but do like a big night out once every 3 months or so.

Sparkly, maybe l wait until tomorrow and hope for that smiley face.

TarkaTheOtter · 28/01/2015 17:49

Sorry to not get back to those who asked earlier - nowhere as exciting as Nepal! I'm in Ireland Grin

spinningirl10 · 28/01/2015 17:50

Victoria, well done on doing dry January. Is your dh still trying with the vapouriser?

PurdeyBirdie · 28/01/2015 17:55

Thanks for being nice, all of you, but I don't really see my recovery as an achievement as such. I caused so much damage and heartache as an alcoholic that I rather feel as though I am really only just making amends. I would never have become a mummy to Nancy had I not gone into rehab for nine months and really conquered my demons. I also met my DH in rehab Smile

Marmite I cannot WAIT for tomorrow's temp to be up still. Then I would bet everything you are preggo.

Where are you Bovney?

dojo123 · 28/01/2015 18:00

Evening all.

Well I have been keeping myself busy completing my thrilling work accounts all day distracting myself from the BFN on this morning's stick- so haven't had a chance to nip on to catch up.

Still no sign of AF and I'm never late, I've been early, but never longer than 26/27 days.

tessiegirl · 28/01/2015 18:20

Hats off to you Purdey Grin Seriously, well done

Marmite your chart is looking fab!! I think it may just be your lucky month!!!!

Sparkly I would hold off tonight as Nomio is right, there would still be swimmers up there from last night. Give you DH a chance to regenerate!

To all those asking about Alphabites...I am pretty sure you can find them in Iceland still although didn't they used to be made by McCains and I think they are now just Iceland own brand

australopithecus · 28/01/2015 18:24

Booo-ooo. This evening's opk (yes, I know I jumped the gun by an hour and a half purdey but I really needed to wee! Blush) was fainter than this arvo's? Either that means the earlier was a dud, the earlier just noted a slight fluctuation, or the earlier recorded the end of the surge that might have happened after I checked yesterday at around 3pm. purdey?
Will initiate rumpy pumpy anyway but now feeling all boo-like.
Apologies for ignoring everyone's posts. Mid-bath routine but needed to vent-cum-question!

PurdeyBirdie · 28/01/2015 18:33

Alphabites for Sammylou (and me!)
