Looking for a ttc buddy! 23 and have been trying 10 months!

Hey!

So me and hubby have been trying for 10 months now after I have my coil taken out after 5 years!

Taking longer than hoped :(

Started using ovulation tests this month to try and get it exactly right! Perfectly positive on the first day of a weekend away for me and hubby so we had a busy weekend!

10 days until my period is due!!

Looking for some company and advice to keep me going while we wait! Getting too impatient now!!!

Hey Laura,

I am 28 and ttc. DH & I have been trying for 4 months but only 3 cycles, I have erratic periods and don't think I am ovulating properly so expecting to be in it for the long haul! I had my first ever positive OPK today but have been busy allllll month just in case!! Will have another go tonight just to make sure but am looking forward to a well deserved rest them haha. So I will be 1dpo tomorrow! So nice to be able to officially say that!

We should be testing around the same so can keep each other same company til then if you like!

Is this baby #1 for you?

9 days before testing seems so far away!!! Lol and I'm really trying to not get my hopes up... It's such a let down otherwise! A fee months ago I was a week late ... And id really got it in my head I was pregnant as is been symptom spotting all week too! Turns out I was just a week late after a (few) negative tests!!

Although I have ordered some tests just Incase - I may have to take one early!! Lol

How old is ur partner?

I already have a DD but not biologically my partners although he is a very good dad to her already Smile He's 26!

Oh I know!!! Do you have like millions of symptoms?! I could smell onions everywhere I went a few weeks back... I mean that's an obvious pregnancy symptom right?! Hmm

My trick lately is to book and plan things to look forward to so it's not always pinned on getting the BFP!

9 days will be here before we know it! I'm definitely testing at 10dpo - there's no point denying it!! Lol

I can go monthssss without a period as my periods are so bad. I'm having acupuncture to regulate at the moment so I'm down to 30/40 day cycles now...so frustrating!!

Hi ladies! Might sit here if that's ok? 22, cycle 1 due to start any day with AF due Friday TTC #2, DP: 27, DS not biologically his but hoping one day to adopt him, EXP doesn't see him, his loss!

Sorry its taken so long to reply, I have been revising and exams this week - great for taking your mind off ttc, especially I am now 3dpo so well into my 2ww, going to test on the 31st! Similar situation to me, 1 dd from prev relationship.

Has AF shown her face yet?

How are you Laura? Any signs yet?

i have also been trying to distract myself!!
AF is due thursday ... dare i say i have had no symptoms so im not expecting much (may not be a bad thing as at least ive not got my hopes up!!!!!)

slightly off topic...have any of u ladies that have already had babies ever been on holiday whilst pregnant? I have a holiday coming up in july and possibly one in june too and im just wondering how you coped!!

Hi Laura I went on holiday when I was quite far along 34 weeks to 35+3 (midwife had to wiggle my dates on my safe to fly note so I could go as cut off was 35 weeks) it was the July and I went to Spain. Had a lovely time. Did burn the top of my bump though even with factor 50 on as the skin is stretched and susceptible to burning and had trouble sleeping even with a big fan going. I stayed in a villa.

If it had been a hotel with better aircon I would have been happier. I enjoyed the relaxation and the pool every day was lovely to get the weight off my feet. I would say go for it! Plus if you don't book it then you don't get your BFP either you'll be so gutted! We can't put our lives on hold waiting forever. Smile

After 10 months the excitement kind of dies away!!! Lol

Have you come off birth control yet? is it the beginning of ur cycle now?

34 is quite late! I didn't think you could fly past 32 weeks! But that's good for a bit of r&r

We are hopefully going to a family wedding at the end of July! Which would mean at the most i would be 31 weeks and that's if I was pregnant this month which I don't think I am!

So perhaps I just need to get booking somewhere with aircon!! Haha

2 days to go til I can test!! ... Literally seems like the longest week ever!!! BlushBlush

Depends on the airline and as long as you follow their rules (or fudge the dates with your Midwife, which I am sure nearly 7 years down he line they don't do any more) and take along your pregnancy notes it is fine. Would like to go away this year for another holiday as a family of 3 but I think we have decided to not go just save up for the huge childcare costs we know we will face after the end of maternity leave.

Then again we weren't meant to be going away last year but I booked in June a two week holiday in late August because I couldn't stand a year without one!

Getting excited to POAS? I am now CD32 but no way we conceived as were were using protection due to not wanting to start until late Jan ovulation which is now delayed due to stupidly long cycle!!

Hey laura, I am planning on booking a holiday in june, it's according to airlines, you are right when its mostly 32 weeks but some go to 36. I also have a holiday booked for March ... I am currently in an agonising TWW on cd36 and am 7dpo so hoping I will be pregnant for that trip, but I will still go if I am pregnant. Unless I am really unwell. Technically, I am due to test on 3rd feb but I will more than likely be testing 30th Jan as I will then be 10dpo and due a night out on the wine for my best friends birthday.

Do you know if you have ovulated yet mummyofone?

Hey ladies.
Yeah I can't wait to start now, it's so exciting and feels surreal.
I came off birth control a year ago and we have been taking extra precautions and i have been monitoring my cycles and just getting tuned in with myself!!
We go on holiday in 2 and a half weeks and It will be my fertile week :) so we can get cracking lol!
I'll keep you updated xx

Hi. Yeah I ovulated on cd16. AF finally arrived today. Weirdly long LP. have been reading up and I switched from seven seas vitamins to pregnacare ones and lots of reviews say it can lengthen your LP. great if you have a short phase normally and a longer one would help but no good to me who has regular 28 day cycles! So switching back once these ones are finished Smile

That's really interesting! I started taking pregnacare almost a month ago! I wonder if it will impact me... I have a 27 day cycle!!

So I couldn't resist any longer and POAS this morning!! And it was negative! Not giving up hope just yet but not holding out for much!!

Gotthekey...Perfect timing for you holiday!!! We had that this cycle for a weekend trip away! I did a got a positive pko the day we arrived! Which is why I was hoping this month might be the month!!! Never mind!!

How are u all getting on?

Laura Let me know if your AF comes on time, may have no affect but I was 4 days late for no apparent reason. Fx you don't and you POAS and get your BFP!

I week til our DTD-a-thon begins. Decided we are going to DTD EOD from cd10 ish. Just throw as much spermz at the egg as we can Grin

I also take the pregnacare, but didn't know the bit about the luteal phase, mine is 14 so don't want to mess with it now I don't think.

Sounds like you wont see much outside of your hotel room gotthekey Wink

I am 8dpo, not poas yet, but think I will on Friday... maybe get an FRER. I haven't actually felt too bad in this TWW, I have been ultra busy so probably that. I think tomorrow I will be wanting to poas though. Must not give in!

So I didn't rest this morning! Still down about my bdn yesterday!! Af is due today although no sign yet! I will test again in a couple of days if it's not turned up! Although I'm worried now these tablets may make me late!!

I am glad it effected my cycle when we hadn't been trying or I would have been really excited. If you are due today then it isn't too early to test?

Yeh I could test today but I tested yesterday as I was being too impatient and it was negative... So I'm just going to wait a couple of days and if it still hasn't turned up I will test again! But I doubt I am... You would think a test the day before af is due is fairly accurate! :(
