Hey!

So me and hubby have been trying for 10 months now after I have my coil taken out after 5 years!

Taking longer than hoped :(

Started using ovulation tests this month to try and get it exactly right! Perfectly positive on the first day of a weekend away for me and hubby so we had a busy weekend!

10 days until my period is due!!

Looking for some company and advice to keep me going while we wait! Getting too impatient now!!!

Xxx

My hubby is so down in the dumps after the bfn ... He's starting to blame himself and it's horrible to think he feels that wayConfusedi don't know how I an stop him thinking like that but only a bfp will stop the worry!!

Just tell him it is normal to take up to and over a year. Doesn't mean there are any problems. Have you been temping so you know exactly when you ov so you can time DTD around then?

laura117 · 02/02/2015 13:03

I have tried believe me but nothing is helping him!! :(

I havnt been temping but last month I did u OPK for the first time so will do that again this month!

Hey,

14dpo and AF due today but all negative tests including FRER. No sign on AF yet other than an achy feeling down below.. and a few spots (on my face!) so don't know what is going on. I thought the acupuncture would regulate me a lot more than this because I am now on CD43 - feel so deflated this month Sad

Laura - have you or hubby had any tests done yet? The GP will start testing you both at around this stage. I understand how your hubby feels but would you both not feel better if he had a test? Waiting lists are roughly 6 weeks for men. Women often assume it is 'their' problem but statistically male factor infertility accounts for 40% of infertility cases! And then you can cross that out if he comes back fine and work on other things. I feel it's much better to know... coming from someone who knows!

Glindathegoodwitch · 03/02/2015 10:37

p.s Don't want to scare you into thinking there is something wrong but I think it eases your mind if you test things and understand if there is an issue!

laura117 · 04/02/2015 09:01

Hi glinda...

We havnt had any yet.. Other than I had a LOT of blood tests done to see what was causing my periods to become really short- which showed up nothing other than an iron deficient... But dr said she would look again in a few months if we still had no luck. I'm due To go for another blood test next couple of weeks so when u get the results I will discuss our options :(

Have u been for tests? Or your hubby?

Yes they should be willing to discuss when you have been trying for a year.

Yes I have had all tests but all come back normal even though I only have 3/4 periods per year so I am on the waiting list for gynaecology which is 38 weeks long. I have been having acupuncture for 5 months and have managed 3 cycles between 33 and 50 days long now. Still not good but hoping that they will get better. I believe my problem is annovulation but hopefully gynae will be able to help. I will more than likely go private as I don't think I will manage 38 weeks.

Hubby went private to see if there were any problems other than wait (was a lot cheaper than we thought!!) It turned out he had a very low sperm count but we have improved that with good diet, removal of alcohol, vitamins etc. It is still lower than average but all of the other factors were very good. Before his test I didn't realise that there was anything else to sperm except the count. Turns out there are loads of factors that facilitate infertility.

So for us its double problems but doing our best Smile

laura117 · 08/02/2015 11:35

Glinda that sounds pretty rubbish for you both but at least hubby managed to get sorted! 38 weeks is such a long time I don't blame you for wanting to go private!!!

How is everyone doing this month??

This week is my fertile week so going to start OPK testing today ... But just try and chill out with it and enjoy valentines week Wink
