The smallprint –
Berries have a strict entrance criteria (TTC #1, over 30, TTC for 12+ months, NO instadiffers, must have a special pot and definitely no mention of baby dust or baby dancing).
Those not abiding by the rules may be escorted from the premises.

Sorry beaky I had so hoped this was your time xxx

beakybeak · 23/02/2015 14:32

Bloods confirmed the bfn today. Have a follow up in a few weeks but I'm wondering if I should ask about a blood test for ovarian reserve. What do you berries think?xx

Gillster · 23/02/2015 16:12

Information is power Beaky so I would ask or get it done privately if the NHS don't test it.

Have managed to rearrange hysteroscopy for 4 weeks today. Should be good timing as will be at the end if my cycle so should be able to start the oestrogen patches a few days later all being well.

happylass · 23/02/2015 17:08

I say definitely push for AMH Beaky. It can't be that complex a test as my NHS FC did it and they are useless. I'm not sure how a stimms dose would be worked out without knowing AMH? As far as I know it's the only thing mine was based on. Hope you're doing ok Flowers
Gill glad to hear you haven't got too long to wait. Everything crossed that this is it for you.

Sorry about the BFN Beaky. It's still sad, even though you were pretty sure it would run out that way. Shame. But onward and upward, I see you have the next steps bit between your teeth already. Definitely try to get a full ovarian reserve test done, as I understand it that's FSH, antral follicle count and AMH. That's currently the fullest picture you can get of ovarian reserve - and even that doesn't tell you everything.

The only other thing I can suggest is checking out your vitamin D levels Beaky. Something like seventy per cent of people in the UK have low levels of Vit D in the winter due to lack of sun exposure. Obviously they don't all have fertility problems! But there is talk of a possible link between DOR and Vit D. It's worth checking out at any rate.

Barking how did it go with the consultant? Did you get what you wanted? Or any further suggestions?

Tiger you definitely should do what Gwyneth Paltrow apparently calls the V-steam. We need a first-hand(?) account.

Good news on the hysteroscopy Gill it's great that you've managed to get a slot sorted out quite soon. Hopefully the oestrogen patches will do the trick against the polyps. Does anyone know what causes the polyps at all, or is it just random?

At this end it is trigger day! It all happens this evening and then EC on Wednesday morning.

barkingtreefrog · 23/02/2015 20:29

gill good news about the next appointment, everything crossed that your 1 year old embryos are home very soon!

beaky I've said in 'tother place, but if your plan would change based on knowledge of your amh I'd definitely get the test done.

wild good luck for egg collection!! I had a good appointment thanks, all was explained very clearly so even what I haven't got I understand the reasons for not having. I'm on antagonist protocol, starting when AF arrives - around 6/7th March!! Grin

DH is not amused that the predicted egg collection is soon after the stag do, so no drinking for him! Shock A week earlier and he'd have been ok!

beakybeak · 23/02/2015 21:45

Thanks berries, I'm going to ring the clinic tomorrow and ask about getting amh done and anything else available!

Gill glad you have got a new date not too far off and that it should coincide well! I hope this is it for you with no more delays.

Wild eek exciting that you are triggering tonight! How many follies do you have? Good luck for Wednesday! Thanks for the vit d tip, I was taking it until November then haven't taken it regularly since. I don't get out of the office much so it's probably a good thing to start up again.

Happy they based my stims on fsh/lh results so I think I def need to push for amh, although the consultant did mention the highest dose stims when I spoke to him last. When's your follow up appointment?

Barking again, I'm really pleased for you being able to start so soon and it sounds like a really comprehensive plan too Grin fx!

WildflowerMarmalade · 24/02/2015 08:54

Just to be ready for the lovely, lucky, new thread...

Wild 40 - TTC for three years. IVF double-stimms freeze all embryos cycle started in February - due to complete May/June.

Can I just go to work in my pyjamas today? I am actually going to work and I'm not even dressed yet at nine am. Blush

Jelliebabe2 · 24/02/2015 10:42

Dear berries, i have good news and I have bad news. I've been pimping. Its positive. I've had a tiny tiny bit of spotting.... Until this morning. I had quite a bit of old looking blood. Now stopped (i think). Goiing for blood test 1st thing tomorrow. Will stay horizontal until then! I'm thinking its a chemical again though. Quite shakey.... And sad

barkingtreefrog · 24/02/2015 11:05

Argh! Jellie what a mindf*ck!!! I know exactly where you are on the complete happy/worried front, I've also had bfp + spotting (but that does NOT mean you'll get the same result).
I have everything crossed that the bleeding has stopped and all will be ok. Thanks

Gillster · 24/02/2015 11:27

Very tentative congratulations Jellie. The fact that it's old blood is a positive isn't it? Hoping it's just the embies getting comfy. Keeping everything crossed over here for you both. X

ladybunnikins · 24/02/2015 12:05

Tentative congratulations as well Jellie, old blood sounds OK, especially if there's no cramping. Maybe it's because there are 2 in there, jostling for space.

beakybeak · 24/02/2015 12:18

Jellie really hoping it's nothing major, hugs and fingers crossed in the meantime.

Stats for next list:
Beaky 35, ttc coming up 3 yrs, 2x failed iui 1x long protocol ivf cancelled due to poor response. Awaiting follow up with FC and possibly short protocol IVF next.

Pipbin · 24/02/2015 12:44

Good luck Jellie. It could just be implantation.
I found life after a bfp harder than any 2ww ever.

nolly3 · 24/02/2015 12:55

FX Jellie. You never know!

Nolly, 33, TTC 2.5 years, BFP Christmas Eve, MC New Years Eve. Awaiting "spontaneous conception" before IVF starts, August 2015.

WildflowerMarmalade · 24/02/2015 13:17

Stay lying down Jellie with all your fingers and toes crossed. Come on Jellies embies. Flowers

So sorry to hear Smidge and Beaky's results Flowers.

Jellie> hopefully it's all benign - when is your OTD - is it still early enough to be implantation?

Gillster · 25/02/2015 06:48

Good luck for EC today Wild.

Any news Jellie?

barkingtreefrog · 25/02/2015 07:53

Good luck wild, everything crossed for a decent haul Grin.

Good luck Wild!

Jellie how are you? Have you had your blood test yet?

Jelliebabe2 · 25/02/2015 12:23

Wild! Hope ec went well!

Blood test results are in! 166 which the nurse seemed pleased with esp as blood test should really have been tomorrow! No more bleeding! So I'm pretty chuffed! Going for a repeat test Friday for my own peace of mind. Eeeeeeep! GrinShockGrin

Please don't make me leave straight away! Shock

ladybunnikins · 25/02/2015 12:30

That sounds great Jellie, congratulations! When I had my IVF chemical, I think the levels were only about 40 and that was at the equivalent of 14dpo.
