The smallprint –
Berries have a strict entrance criteria (TTC #1, over 30, TTC for 12+ months, NO instadiffers, must have a special pot and definitely no mention of baby dust or baby dancing).
Those not abiding by the rules may be escorted from the premises.

Wild really pleased the stimming is going well! Do you have an estimate for EC yet?

Smidge would you test early?

Nolly next Monday. How are you?

I said to dh about testing the day before otd and he said no don't because he thinks the nurse said the progesterone can give a false result on a pee test?!! WTAF. Has anyone heard this before because in my long relationship with dr google I can't say that I had heard this! I think he must have misunderstood her or something Confused Hmm

Gillster · 17/02/2015 22:47

The trigger shot can give a false positive but that will be long out of your system by the time you test. No knowledge of progesterone giving a false positive. Given that it's pretty much given to every IVF patient, I think there would be more warning about this, if this were the case.

beakybeak · 17/02/2015 22:55

Thanks Gill I think that must be where he's become confused and it's the trigger not progesterone!

WildflowerMarmalade · 17/02/2015 23:04

Yes, what Gill said on the trigger shot/ false positives.

Tiger - did your DH decide to give up alcopops in the end? Just wondering.

Jellie hope all is going well with you. I thought of you today at what I think was 12.30 Prague time.

Smidge001 · 18/02/2015 07:01

Jellie I hope egg transfer went well. How many did they put back? Do you have any frozen?

Beaky I don't think there's any point in me doing an HPT early - the blood test on Friday will be fairly early anyway at 9dp5dt and will be conclusive.

Agree with Gill and Wild that probably your OH has mixed up the trigger. (Though that will be completely out of your system by now).

Having MrSmidge home with me is bad for my waistline. In my current mood I really don't need his encouragement to slob about and eat rubbish!

barkingtreefrog · 18/02/2015 07:46

Any news from Jellie?

happylass · 18/02/2015 07:58

Morning ladies. Apologies for the silence. Decided to stay away from MN/TTC whilst away over the weekend. Meant to catch up yesterday but didn't have a spare minute. As you all probably know I got a BFN Friday eve. I'd fully intended to confirm this with FMU on Saturday and let you all know but got my pot out ready then weed it all away - doh! Anyway, it was confirmed on Sunday so I stopped the meds then as had had enough. We were upset and disappointed obviously, but I kind of 'knew' from quite early on that it hadn't worked. Onwards and upwards eh?
Smidge I'm so very sorry to hear about the bleeding. I hope you're both doing ok Flowers. I suspect the progesterone that I was given this time wasn't as effective as the Cyclogest. Although it wasn't red blood, I was spotting from about 5dpt whereas last time I had nothing until I'd stopped the meds. Interesting what you say about the FET. I'm hoping the same!
Jellie hope all is well with you.
Beaky I hope the 2ww isn't too painful. Agree with what the others say about progesterone. It's the trigger that needs to be out of your system - I read somewhere that it's gone in 10 days.
Wild hope the stimming is going well.
Hello to everyone else. Hope I haven't missed anything as haven't been able to read back too far. Have a good day all.

Happy Flowers so sorry it didn't work out for you. Will you do a cycle with your frostie/s now or do you have to wait for your NHS round? Hugs x

Jellie I hope everything has gone well for you with the transfer. When do you come back to the UK?

happylass · 18/02/2015 09:52

Beaky I'm not really sure where we stand as we're allowed 2 cycles without it affecting our NHS entitlement. Need to clarify the frostie situation though. Having said that the private FC said there's no way of the NHS knowing how many gos we've had. Also can't see us getting any NHS treatment before the autumn although we're apparently being sent for in 3-4 weeks for an 'initial appointment' ie to have all the bloody tests we've already had done repeated

Jelliebabe2 · 18/02/2015 10:48

Hi everyone! Sorry tried to post yesterday but lost it. We had 2 grade aa blasts transferred yesterday and 2 frozen! Were so chuffed with that! My crappy old eggs only ever warranted a 2 day transfer. Were just about to check out here and go to the airport to come home! I've a stinky cold so looking forward to my own bed, and my cat.

Hope you're felling a little brighter today smidge and that Mr Smidge is making a good recovery!

I'll catch up properly later x

Smidge001 · 18/02/2015 11:45

Oh wow Jellie that's brilliant news, I'm so happy for you both! Smile

nolly3 · 18/02/2015 11:48

fab news jellie

Beaky, yes - tests only pick up Hcg. you're being very calm and sanguine! Very sane berry that you are. I'm ok thanks. well, i'm as usual anyway (weeps with self pity). but hey ho. it's the spring!

happy how are you feeling today? onwards and upwards. At least each new intervention gives you and them more information, which can only be a good thing.

barking recovered?

barkingtreefrog · 18/02/2015 13:41

Ooo, Jellie that sounds great! Grin Go home and get your feet up, those grade aa emails need to get snuggling in! Grin

Nolly I'm feeling tons better, thanks. All hormones now gone from my system and feeling sane again. UTI left the system and free of a cold Grin. Still got to go back to the gp for a 5th urine sample next week as apparently there's still blood in it?! And now I've got thrush in shag week so that's not happening Angry. Bet you wish you hadn't asked Wink.

Happy surely a 'cycle' includes frosties? When do you see someone to chat about the frozen cycle?

beakybeak · 18/02/2015 14:29

Jellie fantastic news! Fx for a swift 2ww! When is otd? Totally laughed at the emails snuggling in!

Nolly what's your plan now? Wait for IVF in the summer?

Happy hopefully you will get your frosties back in ASAP if the NHS won't know too Grin

I'm not in a pleasant mood today and finding it difficult to pretend I am! Pah. Roll on 5pm I'm not staying late tonight Cake since no Wine at the mo.

beakybeak · 18/02/2015 16:11

Lumen did you get your test results yet?

lumen · 18/02/2015 16:13

Just popping in to wish jellie and smidge and wild lots of luck (and any other berries I have missed) Wink

lumen · 18/02/2015 16:15

X post beaky, I did ring last week after your nagging reminding . All that are back are apparently 'fine' and the others take 6 weeks. Once they are all back I will ask for the results values written down.

beakybeak · 18/02/2015 16:55

Ha lumen Wink that sounds promising but I would also want to see the actual results written down too. I remember when I asked my GP for my blood test results to take to the first clinic appointment, they were so awkward and wouldn't give me them!

nolly3 · 19/02/2015 10:20

just realised i woudl have been having my 12w scan this week. OH GOD. it feels an absolute age. but it's only been 6 weeks! why am i still at work is the question i'm asking myself.

beaky I would sing you a little cheering up song if I could. But it's the internet, so this is all I've got: cat-bounce.com

smidge how are you feeling?

barking you sound loads better, is v good. Did you see that story about this woman making yoghurt from her vag? Sorry berries but it's true.

lumen what's happening high fives. good to see you. I've started requesting printouts of everything. Especially useful when liaising bw GP/FC/ACU/weird french hospitals. Def saves time.

nolly3 · 19/02/2015 10:21

btw yes. we're waiting to see if I can 'conceive spontaneously' (HAH!) and then if not start ivfing in august. joy of joys.

happylass · 19/02/2015 11:48

What do you think of this ladies? Sounds way too woo for me (and I hate the name!) but feel like anything is worth a shot! She is based just a few miles from us too Hmm

Aww Nolly Flowers I say sack work off! I hope you get a "spontaneous" bfp soon. Loved cat bounce by the way, thanks Grin

Happy I read a thread on the infertility forum last night by someone who bled 3/4 days after a 5 day transfer and the clinic tested her progesterone levels (she was using cyclogest or crinonine or something) but her levels were very low regardless. There was then a lot of discussion about clinics testing prog levels on day of et to see what to give drugs wise to ensure the levels are high enough. I don't know if this is of any use to you and maybe Smidge but I thought it might be worth a mention as I remembered you saying your clinic don't do bloods either. Re the massage, I don't think it would cause any harm so why not! Tiger tried abdominal massage recently I think.

HampshireBlues · 19/02/2015 18:43

Evening berries,
Apologies for not being around for a few days, there is a lot to catch up on so promise I will do so later but thought I'd let you know what the consultant review said.

The consultant is disappointment about the cycle and agreed that it couldn't be more opposite to the last. Although we didn't get the positive test this time he agrees that from my symptoms I was producing HCG so this is classed as failed implantation again. So he doesn't believe in autoimmune testing and he hasn't run any for ten years! He has however suggested that I could be throwing off micro emboli so is going to run the recurrent miscarriage thrombotic profile. They are also going to do a scratch on the cycle before my next IVF cycle and switch to short protocol. It's a lot to take in and I'm still not sure why things are not working so processing things at the moment.

I'm sorry for the me post, I promise to catch up on everyone else but congratulations Jellie on being PUPO and on the fantastic grade embies. I have everything crossed for you. Happy I am so sorry that you have not been successful. Hugs to you and DH.

I see we are getting towards the end of another thread so my details if we update the list.....HampshireBlues 36 TTC 3.5 years, unexplained. Cycle 1 chemical pregnancy, cycle 2 abandoned due to cyst, cycle 3 failed. Plan thrombotic profile, scratch and short protocol.

lumen · 19/02/2015 18:47

I am back seeing my reflexology lady happy and I have stopped the acu. I find it much more relaxing and am seeing her twice a month to try it naturally before we do our last IVF. The plan is a good one except when my fertile time falls in the week dh is on nights and we don't physically see each other (like this month)

I'd suggest trying it to see if you like it, not everyone likes having their feet touched Smile

lumen · 19/02/2015 18:52

X post hb, good to hear there is a plan in place but I know from experience it doesn't make it any easier. I have just had those blood tests done too, still waiting on results.

In case there's a new thread soon my stats:

Lumen, 35, ttc since Nov 2011, unexplained, two IVF cycles in 2014, both bfns, waiting for lap&dye and results of numerous bloods, aiming for one last IVF cycle in the summer
