The smallprint –
Berries have a strict entrance criteria (TTC #1, over 30, TTC for 12+ months, NO instadiffers, must have a special pot and definitely no mention of baby dust or baby dancing).
Those not abiding by the rules may be escorted from the premises.

otters!! Is this a record for shortest ever return to the fold? I know you must be equal parts bricking it to excited but I am really, really wishing and hoping this is it for you now - you deserve it!

gill but don't we need the nuts in order to....oh, not those nuts. Wink

jellie I am still at the bloody travel agent I think.

greatbigbushybeard · 18/12/2014 23:46

Wooo hoo otters!!!! Saw it on the other thread & had to come over to congratulate you!!! How funny with the cat snuggling in to your tummy!! Really, really pleased for you!

Hugs for jellie, although your friend totally deserves it, it's still shit isn't it.

happylass · 18/12/2014 23:48

Tiger and Gil I'm allergic to cats too. Bugger!! Definitely getting myself a Ganesha before treatment starts though!
Tiger where are you off on your hols? I'm well Envy. Would love some sun right now.
Jellie we are currently skipping down the yellow brick road of positivity (aka Berry HQ) in pursuit of that pesky 'copter. After the first clusterdiff over 2 years ago the original grads set up a thread on the antenatal board. The Berries then went through a bit of a barren period so by the time the second clusterdiff occurred the original grads had already had their babies. The second lot didn't feel ready to join the grads so they set up the copter on the pregnancy board as they were 'hovering' between threads. But I guess it kind of stuck around and now that's where everyone goes when they get diffed. Fx we all get a seat in that copter soon!

I'm glad you remember that Happy. I'd forgotten.
Some graduate berries are on baby number 2!

barkingtreefrog · 19/12/2014 06:50

Jellie 'twas me that started the 'copter as I wanted to hover somewhere else until I got to 12 weeks and felt happy joining the grads. Needless to say I fell out of it, and the second time I didn't even bother getting in as I didn't want to tempt fate. Ha ha.

otters that is simply amazing. Everything crossed for third time lucky, lead the way for me to follow!Grin

Jelliebabe2 · 19/12/2014 06:51

Makes sense! Thanks Happy! Yes the yellow brick road if positivity! I like it. And yes Bushy, it is shit, I feel like a heel.. At least no one a- has seen it, and b- she lives abroad. I guess is not jealousy as such just a that should have been me too kind of misery. I need to kick myself up the enormous but and count my plentiful blessings.

TammySwanson · 19/12/2014 09:06

Congrats otter!

My cats have always sat on me so by rights I should have about twenty million children by now! (I guess the skeptic in me is just thinking that the colder/wetter weather is making them seek out a heat source at this time of year, the furry thieves)

OttersPocket · 19/12/2014 10:02

Thanks again everyone, I can confirm that my cat is acting strangely and even hopped into the bath as I was taking a shower this morning! I'm taking it as A Good Sign and might try to smuggle her into my scan in a few weeks Wink

DH has been very quiet about it. Picked me up from work, kissed me on the cheek and hasn't mentioned it again. I think he's terrified I'll fall apart if it doesn't work out again so is trying not to get our hopes up.

Not sure I can join the 'coper properly yet, I'm only 12dpo. Let's all of us get there soon, you lovely lot are the only people I really root for when you get bfps.

beakybeak · 19/12/2014 10:54

AF showed up this morning, accidentally got my stitches wet in the shower, my straighteners broke, the train was very late so I was very late for work and all after dh woke me up in the night vomiting because he was so unbelievably pissed last night. Boo Xmas Sad

tigerdog · 19/12/2014 11:24

Aw beaky why is it that crap things seem to cause more crap to happen!! Have a forehead stroke from me. I'm sure your day can only get better. My OH also had a skinful last night, whilst I packed his bag and did all of the holiday preparations!

beakybeak · 19/12/2014 11:43

Sometimes men are totally eejits eh. Thanks Tiger I'll get over myself now. Listening to Christmas music in my office to try and cheer up! Was he celebrating then or does he not find out yet?

Pipbin · 19/12/2014 12:06

Oh Beaky. How shit is that. Have a picture of a cat in tinsel.

beakybeak · 19/12/2014 14:22

Aww Xmas Grin thanks pip!

tigerdog · 19/12/2014 14:45

It was a Christmas party, and I think he is suffering today!

Just found out Mr T didn't get the job. Not the end of the world as he was in two minds about whether it was right, but still a bit disappointing. There are so many unknowns at the moment, it would be nice for things to start to become clearer.

Gillster · 19/12/2014 15:11

Sorry Mr T didn't get the job. Hopefully there's a better one just around the corner for him and you can both be together properly in London.

Beaky, were your stitches from your biopsy? When do you get the results? Hope it's not playing on your mind too much.

Jelliebabe2 · 20/12/2014 07:32

Beaky - some days are just shit magnets aren't they? I hope the rest of it was better. X

Pip - your cat is cute! Did he find himself in the tinsel or did you do that to him (brave lady)

Tiger sorry Mr T didn't get the job. Brew

How're all the other berries? It feels a bit quiet. I'm orf shopping with my bestie today. Not for owt in particular but to gossip I guess. I will pull on my pants off positivity today! Hurrah Grin. See good at that!

Pipbin · 20/12/2014 07:40

Jellie. She did that herself! We have a giant bean bag and she often sleeps on it so there is generally a large cat shaped dimple. We had dumped the tinsel on there while dressing the tree and she nosed her way under it and up through it. Action shot here.

I was explaining Christmas to my lovely Hindu friend who gave me Ganesha, she asked about Father Christmas and how that works. She was shocked that it is your mum or dad who eat the 'offering' that you leave for him. She really couldn't understand that he isn't real and it's just made up for children. She thought he was like one of the many Hindu gods.
When you start to pull it apart like that the whole thing of Christmas is madness isn't it.

tigerdog · 20/12/2014 08:21

Christmas is bonkers really pip plus people feel all this pressure for it to be perfect and end up disappointed when it inevitably isn't.

I've got my pants of positivity on too jellie - snap Xmas Grin as we're off on our holidays! A week in a villa in Lanzarote, 7 of us in total. My mum is looking after the dog so she'll be spoilt rotten no doubt I'll miss her pointy face

I suspect I'll be around in berry HQ as per usual as the villa has wifi and I seem to be on here all the time these days Xmas Hmm it's my first anniversary of joining, so that's two years ttc almost. As the world's most impatient person I can't quite fathom how I've waited two years for a baby already. I can't wait for anything! I've learnt a lot about myself though. All those qualities that have helped me succeed in other parts of life count for nothing when ttc - hard work, determination, being organised and ambitious - no use whatsoever.

Anyway, this is turning into an early morning ramble so best get myself together to get to the airport!

Hope you all have lovely weekends - much festive love to you all.

HampshireBlues · 20/12/2014 09:03

OMG just catching up and seen the Christmas miracle - many congratulations on the BFP Otters that is amazing!

Happy I cannot believe the delivery man. You would think that in this day and age there are some things you just don't broach. I had it last night at the works Christmas do!

Beaky and Smidge glad that you have dates, it isn't too long to wait now.

Gill good news on the hysteroscopy I'm glad they have managed to slip you in. I have a good feeling with the thought of embies going back in a year after they were created.

AFM I have down regging drugs in the house and start on Christmas day!

WildflowerMarmalade · 20/12/2014 11:28

DH came home after two am and said that he had been out drinking Elderberry martinis; gin, sloe gin, creme de cassis, lemon juice and blueberries, apparently. Excellent.

This, Tiger All those qualities that have helped me succeed in other parts of life count for nothing when ttc - hard work, determination, being organised and ambitious - no use whatsoever. You never said a truer word.

Pipbin how cute is your cat? Decorating herself for Christmas, so sweet. Father Christmas is real by the way.

HB Christmas Day sounds like an auspicious day to start. We wait so long for everything to be in place to start that it does seem like some sort of weird Christmas present to actually get things underway.

I just have a few Christmas errands to run and then we will be watching an old film, 'The Bishop's Wife' later. It's a tradition for us. Then off to a party tomorrow, then work, work, work, and then it's the day itself. Somehow it sneaks up on me every single year, no matter how prepared I think I am.

greatbigbushybeard · 20/12/2014 16:50

Ha ha seems like the season for drunk husbands, mine was bladdered last night too. He is currently snoring next to me on sofa. wildflower the elderberry cocktail sounds v delish, perhaps one of us cld have a go at making one

tiger that is v true... Have a Feliz navidad in lanzarote.

pip love your festive cat! it's so funny what they get themselves into.

hb exciting that you're starting down regging. Are you sniffing?

Arr beaky what a craptastrophe. Hope you have a better day & night.

HampshireBlues · 20/12/2014 18:38

Injecting for me with my first scan scheduled for when I am away on my hols......luckily DH and I are holidaying in Devon.

The cocktail sounds fab....I must go and rummage through the alcohol cupboard....oh I guess I shouldn't have one....!?

greatbigbushybeard · 20/12/2014 19:19

No, no, rummage away. Let us know what you come up with! Are you camping in devon? I remember someone on here saying they were camping, I was filled with admiration as I'm a total wuss and a fair weather camper.

beakybeak · 20/12/2014 22:49

Tiger sorry Mr T didn't get the job, at least he didn't have his heart set on it. Woohoo for your lovely Christmas holiday! Have an amazing time and I hope it's lovely weather for you. Yep as Wild said you have spoken very true words there, hardwork motivation ambition organisation mean nothing Xmas Sad we will get there though.

Gil yeah they were, I had a massive plaster in the middle of my chest to cover them at my Christmas party! I get the results in a week or 2ish. I'm more worried about telling my dad tbh as he is a massive worrier so I though it would be best to keep it from him til we knew what it was then tell him, now I'm hiding my stitches from him! Glad you are sorted for your polypectomy and I also think it's a really nice time for the embies to go back in! Will you go with 2 do you think?

Pip your cat is lovely! She should def be the berries mascot!

Jellie how are you doing? I know what you mean about your friend who had the baby. All fingers crossed for your de's in feb. Hope you had a lovely day with your bestie too.

Wild elderberry martinis sound amazing! I don't have the ingredients but I'll be looking out for those when I'm next out! Sounds like a lovely weekend you have planned and yep Christmas always seems to creep round regardless of how much prep we do!

Bushy hope everything is going well for you! Drunk husbands are a pain!

HB I say go for it Xmas Smile it's Christmas! Yey for starting at Christmas, hopefully we can keep the clusterdiff going eh!

Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend!

Jelliebabe2 · 20/12/2014 23:23

Lol at all the drunk husband action... I'm expecting one in mullered later! I'll just leave him on the sofa the pour him into the spare bed!

Pip - your cat is cuuuute! Line would just give me the evil eye until we'd removed the offending items! Its soooo funny trying to explain our traditions to people of other cultures! My office is a European HQ. I've explained Christmas crackers twice this week! Xmas Grin

Wild - that sounds yummy.. Now where can I get me one of those?

Tiger enjoy the hols! Sounds fab!

HB - starting on Xmas day! Has to be a sign.... No!?!?!

Anyway had a nice day. Finished shopping and have watched 2 crappy Xmas films! Now having wine and watching more tv! Xmas Grin
