The smallprint –
Berries have a strict entrance criteria (TTC #1, over 30, TTC for 12+ months, NO instadiffers, must have a special pot and definitely no mention of baby dust or baby dancing).
Those not abiding by the rules may be escorted from the premises.

I had another scan and blood done this morning. No idea what my follies are showing now tbh. I think there were 4 around the 18-20 mark then maybe a couple around 15 and still some smaller ones. Don't really know what to expect this time as I didn't get a very good view and it was a bit confusing (feel silly for saying that but (a) the sonographer read out left ovary results to me while the right ovary list was on the screen, then vice versa and (b) the lists weren't in size order, so I was trying to compare what she was saying now with that shown on screen before etc Confused)
Anyway, I'm trying fairly unsuccessfully not to let it worry me. We got 10 first round and 8 the second, so I think I'll only be happy if it's more than 8

My trigger is tonight girls! Guess when....1:30am!!!! Yup. Hmm Alarm is set three times over (twice on my phone and another backup on MrSmidge's clock radio) as I'm sure I won't wake up! Grin

So the mathematicians among you will know this means EC is scheduled for Friday at 1:30pm. All systems go!

Apols for the very self centered post, I'm just a bit excited!

HampshireBlues · 04/02/2015 13:45

Yay Smidge as I said the other day the scans are just confusing and what we really want is some mature eggs inside the follies. But good news that EC is imminent. However, boo to having to get up at 01:30 to trigger.

Thank you for the messages about the dog; had a consultation and left him behind at 11; still waiting to hear back from the vets about what they have found / done.

beakybeak · 04/02/2015 14:21

Aww Smidge hooray to the ones that are there and to EC on Friday! So when we wake up you will have been in and back out? Very excited for you anyway. I think it would be a disappointment to not have as many as previously but hopefully with your extra infusions and drugs you will get your bfp anyway! Very excited for you! Grin

beakybeak · 04/02/2015 14:22

Sorry HB cross post. Hope the news is positive when they call.

HampshireBlues · 04/02/2015 18:01

Beaky well done on steeping away from the web page! It is so tempting to google everything and anything!

Pooch home and flat out on the sofa next to me. Likely infection in the joint, cannot find a foreign body. They have sent samples for tumours and to look for infection so will hear back next week. If it is infection he will be on antibiotics for six to eight weeks and then reviewed. If it doesn't clear up or if the sample shows a tumour, then we will have to take a fresh look at things. I just want him to get his bounce back; whilst greyhounds are known for laziness he is so lethargic it isn't nice to see. Besides I am missing my daily exercise.

Pipbin · 04/02/2015 18:13

HB sorry to hear BluesHound is poorly. It's so hard when they can't tell you what's wrong.

Smidge 1.30 am trigger shot! I know I just wouldn't get any sleep before that.
Good luck for EC and remember the Crinone has been blessed by both BinCat and Ganesha.

WildflowerMarmalade · 04/02/2015 19:04

That is hugely impressive Beaky + I predict that you will have no need to go back to that page ever.

It's good that your hound boy is home HB - at least you can give him lots of love and attention now.

Smidge - 1.30am trigger shot? Shock I think Pipbin is right that you will not get / have had much sleep before then anyway. Hope it's all gone ok.

I had to have raisin toast and mint tea because you mentioned. I couldn't get them out of my mind. Especially after a colleague turned up with, yes, raisin toast.

Lol at bincat!

Jelliebabe2 · 04/02/2015 20:39

Wild. Lol no you're the only lot that I'm openly a dirty chick with! Never mind the fc! Most people think I'm quite straight laced!

Beaky! Week done for stepping away from Dr Google you've more restraint than me. Try not to fret ( please feel free to remind me of this next week!)

Smidge! 1.30 pm for your collection! Wow I thought that they only did them in the morning. You'll be starving

Mmmmmmmmmm we have to stop taking about raisin toast. Mind you I've just made a lemon drizzle cake! Mmmmmmmmmm

HB. Hope your doggy baby feels better soon x

HampshireBlues · 04/02/2015 20:59

Speaking of lemon drizzle, one of my friends has posted a link on Facebook for gin and tonic cake that is based on lemon drizzle. Sounds divine!Cake

tigerdog · 04/02/2015 22:07

Hi berries, sorry I've been rubbish at checking in but thinking of you all loads and cheering you on from the sidelines. Sorry to hear about the hound HB and so much luck and love to you all in the midst of treatment and awaiting results. Nothing to report here, just totally pooped. Will catch up properly tomorrow.

beakybeak · 04/02/2015 23:12

Aww HB I hope it's just a minor infection, and he is right as rain ASAP. Hugs in the meantime. How long til you poas? You will need to share the gin cake recipe with us if you can!

wild fx your prediction is correct!

Smidge good luck lady! Let us know how EC goes when you can.

Tiger I hope your still enjoying the new job and the commuting isn't too bad! Did Mr T take the job?

I can't really feel much going on round my ovaries. I really hope they are growing though. Also getting lots of ewcm so something must be happening. You can't ovulate early during IVF can you?

Gill any news?

happylass · 05/02/2015 00:07

Beaky don't panic - apparently EWCM is normal whilst stimming due to the increased oestrogen. I don't remember having any the first time but I had a huge amount this time when I popped to the loo in the clinic right before my first scan. I then had a complete panic that I was going to OV and had to consult Dr Google whilst still on the loo!
Good luck Smidge let us know how you get on!

OP posts:
Smidge001 · 05/02/2015 06:05

Ha ha on the EWCM! I've started getting that too over the last couple of days. Definitely to do with the stimming drugs. I don't think there's any danger of ovulating too early Beaky coz won't you be using some sort of LH inhibitor (can't remember if you're long or short protocol, but there will be something you're taking to stop you ovulating too early). When I was short protocol my LH had started to rise a bit earlier than they wanted (but still not too early), which is why I had to trigger on day 9 of stimms, but now I'm doing long protocol the Lucrin seems better at stopping that happen - made it to Day 12 this time. The blood tests will let the Doc know what is going on and allow them to work out best timing for you - it's not just follie size that they go on. (Also I can't feel much around my ovaries either this time. I think it just depends on how much space there is inside - I definitely seem to have more room after my laparoscopy - I'm sure they moved things around a bit!)

Pip & Wild you were right... and even after taking the trigger I couldn't get back to sleep. MrSmidge on the other hand fell asleep straight away but poor thing I must have woken him up another 3 times from tossing and turning etc and every time he half woke up he'd say drowsily "well done babe, you're so brave", not realising that I'd finished it hours previously Grin. Thanks for the gee up and the BinCat and Ganesha connections!

Jellie you are SO right - I'm going to be starving!!

HB hope your pooch is feeling a bit better with the doggie drugs dont get them mixed up!

happylass · 05/02/2015 07:49

Ha yes Beaky Smidge is right. After all the down regging you've done I don't think there's any chance of you OVing by yourself!
Smidge what you say about bloods worries me as my FC has never tested my blood on either cycle Hmm. They do just go on follie size/womb lining. Wonder why this is?
So what day/UK time will your EC be? I can't work it out! Confused
Jellie is right, you'll be famished by the time you're done. I practically inhaled the toast afterwards and I was in at 7:30am!

OP posts:
Gillster · 05/02/2015 09:05

So still no surge from me. Doctor rang me yesterday afternoon and I was frankly not impressed. She was on the verge of cancelling the cycle but said I could go a couple more days. I don't think she properly read my notes though and I wasn't filled with confidence with her responses as she couldn't give me straight answers under challenge. There's also the polyp situation rearing it's ugly head AGAIN! How polyps can grow back in 37 days is beyond me. If they can grow this quickly then we're fucked as we couldn't have cycled any quicker after the operation. She started waffling on about using hormone patches on a future cycle but these are bound to have oestrogen in them and I think we've established that I'm super responsive to oestrogen due to having three (now possibly four) cancelled cycles. This is why I am cross. Have just had bloods taken again and am now waiting for a scan (which they didn't mention yesterday and which I've just found out about now). I'm pretty sure that this is just a longer cycle due to me being ill and not doing much exercise which I think helps keep me regulated. I checked back to my cycle records in 2013 (I didn't bother tracking it post IVF referral as basically spent the year cycling between treatments and hysteroscopies) and I do have a couple of 40-42 day cycles so it's not beyond the realms of possibility.

Sorry for the me me post but as you can tell I am pretty hacked off with it all at the moment.

Gillster · 05/02/2015 09:41

yorkiebilb · 05/02/2015 10:49

Sorry a lot of you won't know me but I still read this thread now and then and just noticed how many of you are going through cycles at the moment so just wanted to say good luck to you all and hope to see lots of berry bfps soon.

Also I can't remember who it was but I read somewhere about somebody being told they couldn't stimm for longer than 12 days? I was with the Lister in London for my ivf treatment and I didn't respond to the drugs for a while so they had to keep upping my dosage and I'm pretty sure I ended up stimming for 17 days in the end and it worked for me so not sure why the fc have said that.

Good luck lovely ladies!

beakybeak · 05/02/2015 11:26

Oh Gill that's shite for you, I really hope the surge happens ASAP. What's the longest you can wait? I think it's ridiculous that no one seems to have really taken charge of this at your FC, because you clearly have a problem with these polyps and they've basically let you coast for a year. I really hope you get some satisfactory progress soon and can get those lovely frosties back on board. Let us know how the dildocam goes.

Well done Smidge! As happy says when will EC be? I'm so confused about the time difference Confused but need to wish you berry luck before hand and get the pom-poms warmed up! Also I totally laughed at sleepy Mr Smidge! Bless him Smile

Happy I don't have blood tests either it's totally done on follies and lining thickness. Thanks both of you for the reassurance though. I am still injecting buserelin which Dr G tells me is to prevent spontaneous ov.

beakybeak · 05/02/2015 11:26

Oh Yorkie thanks for posting - it was me who was told 12days but I think it's because they are closed on weekends Hmm

happylass · 05/02/2015 12:00

Oh Gil I'm hacked off for you!! So, so unfair. You more than deserve the award for most patient Berry and I'm so sorry that you've got this stress again. Fx the surge shows itself asap and those pesky polyps do one Flowers
Ha I said it was Yorkie who had stimmed for a long time! Nominates self for 'History of the Berries' as a specialist subject Smile. Great to see you yorkie. Thanks for popping in!
Just had to fill in a medical form at the dentist and tick whether pregnant or not. I was so tempted to write "There should be a box for PUPO"!

OP posts:
Gillster · 05/02/2015 12:49

Cycle cancelled due to polyp! AngryAngryAngrySad

On the plus side DH turned up today for moral support and we were sent straight to the consultant after dildocam. They've booked me in for another hysteroscopy on 23rd, this time without GA. Just hoping I don't have AF then as they will have to reschedule. Once I get AF they start me on oestrogen patches for 14 days in the hope that they can get the embies back ASAP into a lovely springy palace of the child before the pesky blighters have time to grow back.

It's nice to have a plan but I'm so bloody hacked off. The icing in the cake was a parking ticket as we'd been in the FC so bloody long!

TammySwanson · 05/02/2015 13:37

Sorry to hear that Gill I hope next time it works out perfectly Smile

I am on the TWW. We only managed to have sex twice during the right time so I'm not particularly hopeful. Still need to sort out those blood tests.

Someone on the infertility board posted a link to this blog There aren't really 999 reasons but a lot of them made me chuckle (in recognition if nothing else!) Hopefully some of you Berries will appreciate it too.

lumen · 05/02/2015 13:45

Sorry to hear your news gill, thinking of you x

beakybeak · 05/02/2015 14:33

Aww Gill, I'm gutted for you. I really hope they get this sorted on your next cycle and get those little frosties back where they belong. Wine and more Wine in the meantime.

Lumen did you give in to berry pressure and ring for your results or are you being good and holding out? Wink

Tammy fx for your 2ww!

HampshireBlues · 05/02/2015 16:25

Oh Gill I am so sorry about your news. I can't believe that the pollo is back! I am glad that DH was with you thoug and that you have seen the consultant and have a plan.

Happy I love the idea of a PUPO box on medical / dental forms.

Tammy fx for your 2ww
