The smallprint –
Berries have a strict entrance criteria (TTC #1, over 30, TTC for 12+ months, NO instadiffers, must have a special pot and definitely no mention of baby dust or baby dancing).
Those not abiding by the rules may be escorted from the premises.

Arf at 'peeing in pots all the time' Grin. Love the charabanc. Definitely needs to go in the next thread title. I don't mind being designated driver as I'm off the booze at the moment anyway!
Smidge you are so right about the BFP being just the start but as you said good to hear a positive story.
Beaky I hope your migraine has done one. I get them too and I wouldn't wish them on my worst enemy. Got one the day after my last EC and could really have done without it on top of feeling like I'd been kicked in the stomach by a very large horse! First scan is tomorrow afternoon. Praying there'll be something there. Good luck to you HB, Wild and anyone else who's getting scanned tomorrow too.
lumen hope you feel better soon. Have a good week all.

Good luck to everyone with scans this week! And hello to Bobbles.

AF got me last week. Wan't a huge shock as my boobs told the story - they have saved me a fortune in pregnancy tests. Need to speak to my GP to get those blood tests done again before I reach the big 4-0 later this year.

WildflowerMarmalade · 19/01/2015 10:49

The scan showed eight antral follicles, which I'm pleased with. That's reasonably good, right?

I should get the blood test results later this week and I need to book in for my hysteroscopy at the end of this week or early next week. Annoyingly my Hep B and C results are out of date and I need to see if the GP will do those again for me. Sigh!

HampshireBlues · 19/01/2015 12:32

Wild isn't it annoying that these tests have to be repeated? I had to have a Chlamydia redone this time round as it would be just over a year when the embie would go back. Glad your scan was ok sounds promising - is this your first one? How long have you been stimming for?

Scan ok, about 9 follies in there but still a little on the small side so not sure if EC will be on Friday or if they'll ley me go to Monday. Wednesday will tell all.

BobblesAndBells · 19/01/2015 12:48

Morning ladies, and thank you all for the warm welcome.

I think the charabanc driver would be most unimpressed with all this talk of peeing in pots and sore boobs. We might frighten him.

FWIW my pee-pot is an old miniature travel shampoo bottle, I have excellent aim me Grin

I'm working from home today as my cramps and period related IBS was just too much to contemplate going in to work. Ironically woke up in the middle of the night feeling sick - a week ago that would have sent my symptom spotting off like crazy! Luckily my boss is really laid back and doesn't mind.

Have a good Monday everyone

WildflowerMarmalade · 19/01/2015 14:57

Quietly impressed by Bobbles peeing accuracy. Wink

HB - the scan was to get an idea of ovarian reserve / fertility levels. I haven't started stimming yet, the astral follicles are the possible ones in the starting blocks before any stimming starts. I think that's what it is anyways.

Glad your scan went well. When will they decide how long to let you continue growing the follies?

Glad you are doing ok Minx a cuppa always feels extra special after you've been starved for surgery! I don't know if the adhesions will cause issues but at least you have confirmation of what you knew already. At least now you can get in the system and start fully on your journey Smile

Minx have you been referred to the IVF clinic yet? Don't trust Google. The clinic will know.

beakybeak · 19/01/2015 17:58

Minx glad you're ok but remember they can do all sorts these days so try not to worry too much at the moment, and dr google is very scaremongery remember. When is the follow up?

HB do they want them to grow much? I think someone else maybe Spare had a similar issue but it only took a couple of days extra stimming as they were nearly there.

Wild I have no idea about AFC I'm afraid. Do you need the bloods and before you can do IVF?

Smidge how long are you downregging for? Has it not just been a week so far? I have another week left before baseline scan Confused then stim after that I think if all is ok.

Pip how was your first day back to work?

Pipbin · 19/01/2015 18:11

Beaky it's a long drawn out old process isn't it.
First day back was ok. Everyone was really nice. It was a bit harder than I was expecting though.

HampshireBlues · 19/01/2015 19:35

Glad your first day back was ok Pip remember little steps and that we are here if it is a bit much.

I think it best to step away from Dr Google Minx and if there was no chance of IVF being an option (which it won't be) then the consultant wouldn't have referred you on.

I'm not sure what they a re after to be honest Beaky. I have just looked at my stats from last time (yes I wrote them down) and I am further along than last time. They ended to be up to around 20mm on Wednesday, but to be honest I think that they will be reluctant to leave it until Monday as they can over cook (apparently).

beakybeak · 19/01/2015 22:24

Aw Pip they sound like a lovely bunch.

HB that sounds like a good size! Fx for Wednesday then with EC on Friday. When do you have ET? Do your clinic do day 5 transfers?

Happy is your scan tomorrow afternoon? Fx for lots of big follies!

Smidge001 · 19/01/2015 22:31

Beaky today was day 12 of downregging for me. They started me on day 22 of my cycle, which I thought was a bit early given my average cycle length is 33 days, but as long as I don't run out of the lucrin I don't mind. (I'm beginning to worry I might though, as there are only 28 doses in there.. Just depends when AF arrives).

minx stay away from Dr Google! The consultant wouldn't have said he'd be referring you to the next stage unless there were options. I suspect pain from stimming will vary patient to patient, and even if it is impossible to bear in your case, then if one ovary is ok you can still do IVF just with that - I mean complete worse case scenario they could remove the adhesion covered ovary so the stimming drugs don't give you heaps of pain and do IVF with the remaining ovary. Sing it great we get given two Wink.

Pip I'm not surprised day 1 was hard. It's always harder when people are being nice/ sympathetic/ asking how you are. But as ever you managed it and I suspect Day 2 will be easier. Don't expect not to have some wobbles though. It's bound to happen and you should take advantage of the offer to have a duvet day if you need it.

Smidge001 · 19/01/2015 22:33

isn't it great, not sing it!! [Doh!]

HampshireBlues · 20/01/2015 18:28

It is very quiet in here....how is everyones week going?

Gillster · 20/01/2015 18:35

Time for an update methinks as I for one am struggling to keep up!

Runners and riders update:

Finished with their feet up:
Funky 4 frosties (blasts), will do a FET in 3 months time (1st timer)

On the racecourse:
HB 9 follies, scan tomorrow with possible EC on Friday, long protocol IVF (2nd go)
Barking currently stimming, scan tomorrow (day 8), IUI (2nd time)
Happy currently stimming, scan yesterday showed 8 follies, rescan tomorrow, short protocol ICSI (2nd go)
Gill daily bloods from today, expect LH surge to be around 31st/1st then hopefully (F)ET sometime in first week of Feb (don't mention the "P word")
Beaky still DRing, baseline scan on 26th before stimming, long protocol (1st timer after giving IUI a go)
Smidge still DRing awaiting AF before stimming, long protocol (3rd time)

Limbering up in the parade ground:
Wild having tests repeated and expecting to start DRing in around 3 weeks, long protocol IVF (1st timer after giving IUI a go)
Jelli (aka "So Dirty Chick") donor egg IVF, EC in Feb, (3rd IVF, 1st DE IVF)

Still in the stables:
Kuma cyst on ovaries so taking pill for next month to rectify and hoping to try natural IVF the month after (2nd time)
Rain IVF referral end Dec, expect to begin treatment around April/May
Lumen having 6 month break after 2 IVFs, checking out new FCs
Tiger having break until April whilst rocking the new job in the big smoke
Minx lap and dye has revealed blocked tubes and possible adhesions on one ovary, referred for IVF
Tammy waiting to repeat basic tests
Bobbles awaiting gynae referral for suspected endo

Phew! That was hard work. Hope we're all present and correct.

Gillster · 20/01/2015 18:49

As you can see from the list above, the FC finally called today to say that I could start treatment - Yay! The treatment involves daily blood tests until I get my LH surge which I reckon will be in about 11 days time. I'm going to have to be a good Berry and get to bed early to cope with all these early morning bloods but at least we are moving in the right direction again. Would have preferred the call yesterday though as had to leave work half way through the day to get the first blood test done which had to be today. It's all change at the FC too, they've moved to a different floor and completely tarted the place up. Hopefully the improvement in facilities will lead to an improvement in results.

Big shout out to Bobbles, nice to meet you. If peeing in tiny pots was an Olympic event I reckon you'd be a shoe in for the gold. I am still in the kindergarten of pot peeing - I use a fairly large measuring jug!

Tammy - I have visions of your boobs actually talking to you after your last comment and am imagining quite a conversation between the three of you!

Lumen - hope you're finally on the mend and that you're recovering well too Minx.

Hope work is going OK Pip and Tiger.

Good luck and pom pom twirling to all those stabbing at the moment. I'll throw in a couple of high kicks too now that my dodgy hip has just about sorted itself.

CatsCantFlyFast · 20/01/2015 19:16

Great news Gill.

Lurking hoping for a cluster diff and for hand holding as needed

HampshireBlues · 20/01/2015 19:44

Yay there is life out there!

Thank you for the stat and progress report Gill and fab news on getting going with your cycle Smile

Jelliebabe2 · 20/01/2015 19:52

I can see I will have to embrace the name change! Lol

Pip - well done you're doing really well x it WILL get easier day by day.

Hope everyone else is doing well. I'll have time to read and comment properly tomorrow. Berry hugs.

Aka : Jelliebabe Grin

beakybeak · 20/01/2015 21:17

Lolzz Dirty Chick Jellie Grin

Fab list Gill thanks Smile I'm so pleased you got started finally! Fx all goes well with this cycle and you get those frosties in!

Barking if you're lurking good to hear you have started with your iui and fx for you! Let us know how you get on.

Nolly, lovely lady, are you around? How are you?

HB good luck for the scan tomorrow.

Minx how are you feeling now? I hope you managed to avoid dr google.

Smidge do you start stimming when you get AF then? I just do a full 3 weeks regardless. It seems as though all fc's just do whatever they fancy!

I am so bored of downregging now. Want to just get on with things!

happylass · 20/01/2015 22:21

Evening ladies. Great list Gill. Nice to know how everyone is doing.
Jellie you have to name change now. Forever to be known as Dirty Chick Wink
Barking I didn't realise you'd started. Let us know how you're getting on. I'm guessing we are pretty much cycle buddies still?
Minx hope you're recovering well. Sorry the news wasn't great but as others have said at least you have some answers and things are starting to move forward for you.
Beaky hang on in there. It is crazy though that I will have done my whole cycle whilst you've been down regging. Also mad that if I was long protocol I would be using a higher dose of Suprecur than I am now. How's that work?
Hope everyone else is doing ok.
