Naww glad the visit went well! It sounds like you've got into a lovely routine.

I know it sounds silly but my DH gets up every morning and brings me water so I can take my pills then go back to sleep without moving. He then feeds the cats their morning wet food. I woke up yesterday and he had put out two bowls of dry food ready for me to place for the cats for their brunch. It made me smile because they are our fur babies, I can't wait for this girl to arrive as he's going to be so involved and she will have a dad that really cares 100%.

When I hear about both you lulu and Ducky it reminds me of what I have to look forward to Smile

LuluJakey1 · 13/01/2015 20:53

Your DH sounds like he will be very hands on Sairie. Mine is too. He really wanted a baby - has done for the last 3 years but I wanted to wait. He was so ready to be a dad. I know he'll be a lovely dad- he is just besotted with DS and he has loads of plans for the pair of them.

I actually like being at home. I thought I would be driven mad by not working but I don't know how I managed to work Grin I wouldn't miss a minute of this time with DS.

Cupcake92 · 13/01/2015 21:38

Siarie stokke are such lovely prams and so different from the rest :) Ur DH also sounds like he's going to be the perfect dad! :)

Lulu, well done DS ! Glad he's doing so well :) and I bet ur SIL can't wait to see him! She'll want to take him home! Grin and what a great idea taking the tomee tipee upstairs!! :O
Wish I had got one with DS they seem so good!

Telly is very rubbish these days! Might go to bed and read a book I thinj :) hooe everyone is okay tonight! !

That is a nice surprise for him Tori. I was going to do pregnancy yoga and I never went.

DH has just said to me 'So what contraception are we going to use?' I ignored him and he is laughing and annoying me - good contraception in itself! The best kind of contraception is lying on his back on DH's chest making little gurgly sounds and waving his arms and legs about and not looking the least bit tired. He will be ready for his feed soon.

It is freezing up here tonight. Everything is iced up. We have got the heating on still so the bedroom is warm for DS. He seems warm enough. But I like the room very cool and DH radiates heat like nothing on earth. It is too hot for me.

Cupcake92 · 14/01/2015 08:31

Tori pregnancy yoga sounds good! And wow what a lovely surprises for ur DH's bday! :)
Hooe the scan goes well today! Let us know how u get on :)

Lulu in the first few months of having a newborn dtd is so not on the cards haha Grin in my experience I was just too exhausted to even think about it Grin

DS is playing with his toys atm, we are waiting for my mom to drop my brother off as im looking after him today. But she text me saying he'd been up in the night being sick!! But I still have to look after him! So ive had to cancel soft play and now I'm worried DS is going to get ill :( and he's always so bad when he's ill, he doesn't take sickness very well.

I'm so fed up Sad

Ds has had diarrhoea for the past few days, it's now turned mucousy with blood in (he had blood in before too) I've took him to the gp, midwifes, hospital and back to the gp who all say it's fine, but that doesn't sound right to me Hmm

Cupcake92 · 14/01/2015 08:51

Ducky go back today. Put ur foot down and say u want something doing today! And say ur not leaving until something's done. Honestly u have to be very demanding!
My DS had blood in his nappy when he was born and I was told it was because he wasn't getting enough food ironically! As I was trying to breast feed but he wasn't latching. So that's when they made me feed him a bottle.
Honestly take him back and demand something to be done

See all those symptoms say that he could be allergic to this milk! Have u tried a different formula brand?
What one are u using atm?

Ducky23 · 14/01/2015 09:10

I'm using cow and gate Confused im going to ring the gps for a call back and ask for another referral to the children's ward.

The hospital said they aren't worried because the gp isn't concerned but them gps seem useless with babies! He's had more appts there than I have in 5 weeks!

Siarie · 14/01/2015 09:25

Pahh sent that too soon, that link describes allergy symptoms but the milk formula suggestions are all american. Let me see if I can find anything on google.

Ducky23 · 14/01/2015 09:29

Thanks for your help guys Confused I have been posting just about this recently but I am just so worried.

The gp said the other day it's not an allergy as he's not screaming after every feed anymore but he screams at night and has the blood in his poo which is like mucous and he has a rash on his face and behind his ears which I beleive are all symptoms.

Am just waiting for a call back from the gp and am asking for a referral to the hospital. Bet il have to argue for it tho Hmm

Siarie · 14/01/2015 09:30

This might be better :)

Morning by the way lol!

Siarie · 14/01/2015 09:34

Ducky GP's are pretty crap, not all of them but it's really hit and miss. I have an allergy to wheat or gluten (when not pregnant) and I went in and they did some test and it came back negative (which it often does). I was still having problems so just stopped eating the offending items and everything went well, I still never got a proper diagnosis.

Now that I'm pregnant my immune system is suppressed and I can eat all those things without any problems at all. So I know i'm allergic to it, but what I'm trying to say is they just don't seem to spend too much time on people at the moment. So it doesn't surprise me that they are the same with babies!

Keep pushing the GP or try swapping milk yourself and see if that helps.

Ducky23 · 14/01/2015 09:38

Thanks siarie Smile

They just called back, they want to see him first.

Am sat here in tears because something is wrong and nothing's being done Sad

Ducky23 · 14/01/2015 09:38

And I have seen 4 different gps at the practice and nothing they have done has made a difference at all. None of them seem to know a thing about babies Hmm

Siarie · 14/01/2015 11:13

I've got my FX that they sort it out today for you, are you seeing the GP again today?

Ducky23 · 14/01/2015 12:36

Been there, they said it's gastrointeritus (sp? Blush) which can also cause temporary milk intolerance (also causing the colic/reflux) if he's still having problems Monday he may have to have some fluids Confused

He said at this stage there's not much point in changing him onto the milk intolerance formula as it takes them a while to get used to that and this only lasts around 14 days, he's had it for 7ish days so far

Siarie · 14/01/2015 15:17

How do you feel about it? Do you think they've got it right? Mum knows best! If you are worried at any point I would take him to A&E to be honest. Does he have a temp or anything or just gastro symptoms at the moment?

Ducky23 · 14/01/2015 15:28

I think that sounds about right tbh, he's had his temp taken and all his chest and everything listened to and his stomach felt and thy looked at his poo Blush

I feel a bit better now but I just hope he feels better soon my poor little man

poppet85 · 14/01/2015 15:33

A&E if you'r worried . I normally wouldnt encourage people to attend a&e like that but you've tried all other routes and done what they said . My friend said she ended up in a&e on so many occassions with her baby

Cupcake92 · 14/01/2015 17:51

Ducky!! My DS had that! He was in hospital constantly as they kept sending him home saying nothing was wrong as in the end I forced them to keep him in and they did and gave him fluids......next day he was so much better!! I had to leave work due to that as he was so poorly and couldn't be left at nursery. I'm glad they have noticed it. I found what helped was small amounts but very often.
DS usually had 2-3 oz every hour to hour and a half. It Helped a lot.
Hope DS gets better very quickly Flowers

LuluJakey1 · 14/01/2015 18:25

Ducky, is that the same as Gastroenteritis? If it is, it is very common. It is inflammation caused by the effects of a bug or virus and very easy to get. I had a form of it over Christmas and it was very uncomfortable but it just wore itself out. I didn't eat at all for two days and was sick and running to the loo. It took about 6 days to feel much better and then I went into labour!

The thing you need to watch for is dehydration in babies and children. Cupcake is right - don't overload his system. Little and often. Hope you both feel better soon.
