anyone ttc number 3 want to try together (not literally)?

Mine are nearly 4 and nearly 2. DC1 took over two years to conceive and I was on here several hours a day in a desperate fug. DC2 happened first time trying. He is nearly 2 and I feel ready to try for one more. Always thought my family would have three kids, though am terrified of messing up our stable happy family by doing it all again, especially as nights just got better (finally).

Anyone similar?

Hidaffodil! We're trying for #3 too. We have a bigger age gap though as hubby decided he didn't want more children :/ mine are 7 and 5 so going back to newborn is going to be interesting as they'll be at least 8 & 6 by then too :/ our eldest was a surprise, we'd been together for a year. Dd2 was tried for fir 9 months, we then had a 2 month break ready fir our wedding... I found out in the 2nd month break that I was 5 weeks pregnant! DH had a vasectomy and has had it reversed 4 days ago so it's likely to be a bit tougher going this time but I'm still hoping to be pregnant by my 30th birthday next December :)

zippyswife · 09/12/2014 14:04

I am so similar. In fact are you me?

Mine are 4 and 2. We dtd for the first time last night- it was cd15 of a (usually) 28 day cycle so I think we left it too late this month.

I have/had great reservations of messing up our stable family, but, I am ready for one more and am gently willing for last night to have worked (took 7 months with dc1 and 4 months with dc2- so I'm not expecting to get lucky first time!).

Good luck! (and yes it is scary!!)

DaffodilField · 09/12/2014 14:10

hi spamanderson - good luck. I am 36. Was 32 when conceived dd so worried eggs deteriorated since then...

I don't think I am you zippyswife, but you never know... We have had two months of 'trying' and each time I have been thoroughly relieved and also a bit disappointed when period started.

With dd (our first dc) we dtd all the time, whether we wanted to or not. Now it's less often so in that sense we are not trying. Though of course I am ensuring that I 'just happen to be horny' around ovulation date.

Oh my goodness you sound like me! I have a 5 and 3 year old, they are thick as thieves and I can't imagine how another will 'slot' in. I worry about upsetting our little family but at the same time long for another. This is our first month of TTC. xx

zippyswife · 09/12/2014 14:55

My plan is to be quite laid back about ttc this time round (although I ended up conceiving ds2 first month of using the clearblue fertility monitor so come Feb I'll be ordering one of those- sadly I gave mine away to a friend who never gave it back). I'd love to be laid back about it all, but I struggle!

Lorriella · 09/12/2014 15:52

I;m not a laidback person at all! I got pregnant first month of tryig both times before but i'm 30 now so know it's likly to take longer. xx

zippyswife · 09/12/2014 19:31

I'm 37 so I have no idea how long it will take or if my time has passed? 30 is young- you should be fine.

DaffodilField · 10/12/2014 11:36

I'm not laid back either! I bought fifty cheap tests on eBay so I can use them as and when and not spend a tenner a time.

Have a 7yo and 4yo, and may be pregnant with DC3. DH bringing home pregnancy test tomorrow as I'm on CD35 now (usually anything between CD 29 and 33).

MMC in February and not used any contraception since first AF in March. Not TTC, but not preventing a pregnancy. Will be a bit gutted if I'm not!

Shnickyshnackers · 24/12/2014 01:51

fingers crossed for you Irnbruthenoo.

I'm ttc #3, I have a 3.5 yr old and a 2 yr old, and it took 6 months to conceive number 1 and first and only go for #2!! So this is cycle 2 of ttc#3. I'd love to have 4 kids so I feel like I'd better crack on and have number 3!! Maybe some xmas shagging will get us all pregnant Grin

IrnBruTheNoo · 24/12/2014 09:47

Just done a test as the whole family has had Norovirus and I've been feeling constantly sick for three days - BFP!

Good luck to everyone else. No idea what my due date is, will check that and then contact midwives.

IrnBruTheNoo · 24/12/2014 10:41

What a Christmas present! EDD end of August next year.

I had given up hope, but there you have, it can happen to any one of us.

Good luck to everyone else out there Flowers

Metalhead · 24/12/2014 11:19

Just wanted to say huge congratulations to IrnBru! I remember you from another thread, we had our mmc around the same time. We've also been ttc since March but without success so far, your story gives me hope that it can still happen! Merry Christmas and wishing you a happy healthy pregnancy.

IrnBruTheNoo · 24/12/2014 15:28

Ah Metalhead thanks!!! I do remember you too now, from the MC board, we had our MMC earlier this year roughly same time Flowers

Have some baby dust your way :)

I have everything crossed you fall pregnant soon. This news has taken me aback, as for months now I have gotten used to life with two DC long term. I think we'd given up hope.

It's early days yet though, trying hard not to get too excited and won't be telling anyone until the scan.

IrnBruTheNoo · 24/12/2014 17:20

Oh and Merry Christmas! :)

Metalhead · 24/12/2014 17:36

Thanks Irn, fx for you that this one sticks.

Lorriella · 28/12/2014 16:05

Ooo congratulations! That's great! All BFNs for me so far but I've no idea what day cycle I'm on. Just got some very very light spotting which i think could be implantation so I shall continue to keep testing and hoping for a BFP!

Shnickyshnackers · 04/01/2015 05:17

Argh!! We've only managed to dtd the twice this month, dd2 has just been a nightmare and no one has been getting enough sleep let alone opportunity or inclination to dtd!!

Rainbowdash23 · 04/01/2015 05:23

I will join have one dd 15 months old and ds who is 5 hoping to fall pregnant sometime this year! It has took a while before! 4yrs and 2yrs hoping to be a little quicker this time :)

shmuf · 04/01/2015 07:48

Gobbolinothewitchscat · 04/01/2015 08:12

Sliding in. We are going to have a loft conversion done in March so kind of waiting till we get through the worst of that. Have a 2 year oldand an 11 month old - only have a 13 month gap so quite glad that I will have a bigger gap this time!

Shnickyshnackers · 07/01/2015 02:04

good luck one and all :)

zippyswife · 25/01/2015 13:37

Any updates from anyone? How're you all getting on?

I'm already struggling to be laid back about this! I knew I couldn't play it cool. Ttc turns me crazy!!

tossedsalads · 29/01/2015 14:17

Hi can I join in? I have a 4.5 yo and 2.5 yo. Feel like if I leave it any longer to ttc number 3 then I will never do it. It feels so much more scary this time, we get lots of sleep, just finished with nappies, I have only just lost my baby weight and now I'm thinking of going back to the start again LOL. But I have always wanted my babies to be quite close in age so I feel that now is the right time.

Lillygolightly · 29/01/2015 16:33

Hi, I'm TTC no 3. I have 2 DD's 10 & 5. Currently on CD14 and waiting for O. Then ill be in the madness of the 2WW.
