Just thought I'd get the January bus started! The heaters on, the tunes are turned up and the seats are pretty comfy :)
I know there's a couple of others like myself who won't be POAS until January time so we have a bit of time to get cozy on the bus.
I'm Spam, my hubby is having a reverse vasectomy in a couple of weeks so my earliest hope of a BFP is 4/5th January :)

I'm going to blame it on my out of date pregnancy tests!!!

browneyedgirl86 · 05/01/2015 11:37

Well it looks like my gut instinct was right -AF has just reared her ugly headSad

spamanderson · 05/01/2015 11:50

Oh sorry to hear that brown
What tests are you using food. I have used the cheapies this time (I used them with dd2 and we're fab) this time they've been appalling. Same brand as before but I got that faint BFP with it, and you had to have it in the right light to see it, and the others since have been bfn! Could you grab a frer? They're 2 packs for £10 in Morrisons at the mo I believe. Tesco have the clear blue with week indicator for a 2 pack for £10 too :)

It's ok. I Hopefully will get lucky next month. Lots of luck to all ladies still waiting!!

Juniper44 · 05/01/2015 12:34

I've been looking into the sensitivity of different tests, and the cheapo ones from Amazon are by far the most sensitive.

For those trying early, I'd recommend them. I got my bfp using those last time round, then checked dates with a clear blue digital.

Back to work on Wednesday for me. Thankfully I only work 2 1/2 days so not too arduous. And 6 weeks until half term means that's only 15 working days!

spinningirl10 · 05/01/2015 13:04

Oh MrsE that's fabulous newsGrin thank you for popping in to let us know. Please pass on my Congratulations.
Hope katecupoftea has a good labour and newborn cuddles very soon.

Brown, sorry af turned up for youThanks

spinningirl10 · 05/01/2015 13:06

And MrsE, how are you? How far along are you now? Hope you're feeling betterSmile

dizzylemon · 05/01/2015 13:20

Well, I think I AF'ed. And my cycles are pretty long. Or it's too early to tell if I'm actually pregnant. So confused! I think I'm out anyway, but best of luck everyone!

keys27 · 05/01/2015 13:23

Sorry to hear about AF guys :(. I know how gutting is it :(. I am really not feeling to good today headache and tired feel sick :( not pregnancy symptoms as i'm not due AF until 23rd Jan.

Anyone ever has the feeling their tummy contracting slightly? Could that be a sign of ovulation does anyone know?

Congrates on the new babies and babies that are to come :)

booboobeedoo11 · 05/01/2015 13:47

Hey Ladies...sorry for all the AF's and fingers crossed for all still in this month. My AF is due Saturday, reckon I must be at least 10dpo, still not really been doing the symptom spotting like every other month! Don't know what it is, just don't feel like I could be at all this time, even though I'm pretty sure we dtd around the fertile window (been quite relaxed compared to before as we were so busy) I know I can still have a chance but just feel so disheartened this month! Even POAS is not sounding so appealing to me this time around Sad. Symptoms of a cold are just easing off now though so maybe crazy lady will still make an appearance in the next few days and I'll be poas until the witch comes! I have a wee question about implantation....do you always feel it and always have a bleed? You ladies keep me sane during this as always! Flowers

Hairstylisttoboris · 05/01/2015 14:15

sorry to thoes who have the horrible AF. Gutted for you all.

Is it just me or is this not The Longest Day, ever?

MrsExtraOrdinary · 05/01/2015 14:19

Spinning I'm fine, better than I was a couple of months ago. But this morning was a bit of a shock, alarms going off around the house at 5.30am?! Oh god it's so dark and ive been enjoying my lay ins. I'm 17+4 today, just counting the days until 22nd (my bday) when we find out what we are having. So excited and apprehensive. Confused

Good luck to all the newbies. You probably wondering who on earth I am, but I spent the entirety of last year on the buses so I like to pop in and see how everyone's doing.

ShootTheMoon · 05/01/2015 14:33

mrsextra I think it's great to hear from those who have graduated from the bus even as a newbie! Hope the second trimester is treating you well - it's the best bit after all Grin

To all those using ICs, do they not drive you nuts with the white dip they have for the HCG to pool in? They have a little white section which I always think is miraculously going to turn into a line, but it never does! Maybe it's just the way I peer at it under bright lights trying to make a line appear.

I've had a set of ICs for a year or so now but I'm down to the last one and, well, they've all been neg so far so for that reason I dislike them :D I have one frer which I bought last month in optimism so I intend to wait properly now. I guess I just keep thinking how nice it would be to find out straight away. Not worth the disappointment and uncertainty though really, not for me anyway.

So who is testing this week? I'm due AF on the 12th so I may cave on Friday, but perhaps I should just wait until next week after my mini rant. Grin

Juniper44 · 05/01/2015 14:34

BooBoo I had cramps and IBS type symptoms on the same day AF was due, but turned out I was pregnant so I think that was implantation pain. Lots of cramps and weird tugging feelings in my groin for a few weeks too.

Hairstylisttoboris · 05/01/2015 14:36

booboo I don't believe you do always know about implantation either through cramps or bleeding.

spinningirl10 · 05/01/2015 14:37

Pleased to hear you're feeling better MrsE, wow nearly 18 weeks!! That's flown by, although probably not for you! Not long to wait until you find out.....I still say a girlGrin please update us when you find out!

Ds is back to school tomorrow, I've loved having him home so not looking forward to that.
How's sunbathing doing? Does she know what she's having yet, I can't remember how far along she is.
We have some exciting news (not baby related) but I'll pm youSmile

ShootTheMoon · 05/01/2015 14:38

booboo I don't think people always feel implantation or bleed, and I suspect lots of things which are credited to implantation are just random anyway - I have cramps a week before AF, and occasional spotting, and last month I had a tiny spot of red blood after ov, but none were signs of pregnancy - but if I had fallen pregnant I would have said they were signs, iyswim. Confirmation bias.

But when I was pg with DC1 I was sure AF was arriving as I had back cramps. I just tested as a formality before a boozy weekend and was shocked when it was positive!

xBlueberry88x · 05/01/2015 14:39

Afternoon Ladies,

Genni Always good to see you hopefully the not trying month is the one for you lol!!

Spinning hope your all good lovely!

Juniper the best tests on the market are actually the frer's the cheapy tests dont seem to work for everyone and a few ladies on here have an false positives on them. A frer shows a much darker line a lot quicker.

Sorry to every one AF got!

Im back to work today and I have thrown up twice and want to sleep so bad lol being pregnant is so fun!

spinningirl10 · 05/01/2015 14:44

Ah Blueberry it's lovely to see youGrin
How many weeks are you now? The sickness bit really isn't good, luckily I managed to avoid it with mineSmile

MrsExtraOrdinary · 05/01/2015 14:47

Sunbathing was having a bit of muscular pain the other day. I haven't heard from her properly for a while. Pretty sure she doesn't know what she's having yet, but the census of opinion was boy. The an thread is so hard to keep up with as there's so many on it.

Can't wait to hear your news spinning! Smile

MrsExtraOrdinary · 05/01/2015 14:47

And of course I'll update when we know Wink send me a few girl vibes wont you on the 22nd! Grin

booboobeedoo11 · 05/01/2015 14:50

Thanks ladies...I missed/didnt have any early symptoms with my first, was on bc and still had 2 or 3 periods before I found out so I'm a bit in the dark with all this ttc business, even at 31!

I really don't know what's up with me this time...last month I was so positive that I could be and when AF turned up I was absolutely gutted, confirmed to me how much I actually want this....NOW haha. Maybe I'm just shielding myself from getting all excited then the gutting disappointment?

Also I'm finding myself going over all the most negative things like "I'm 31, been on bc for 10yrs..maybe there's something wrong, its never gona happen, bla bla.." which I know is ridiculous as there's plenty women been trying a hell of a lot longer than me. Just clicked....maybe I'm bloody pre-menstrual and thats why I feel sad! Grrrrr!!

Shoot I don't feel like it at the moment but when I strap on a pair and stop feeling sorry for myself I'll prob test fri/sat (if i can hold out that long - which would be common sense!!) if AF doesn't show up before then.

xBlueberry88x · 05/01/2015 14:51

Spinning im 9 weeks today its going soooo slow lol i'll put a scan pic up for you all when I have one in a few weeks!! I havent had much sickness but today its seems to have ramped up!!
