Just thought I'd get the January bus started! The heaters on, the tunes are turned up and the seats are pretty comfy :)
I know there's a couple of others like myself who won't be POAS until January time so we have a bit of time to get cozy on the bus.
I'm Spam, my hubby is having a reverse vasectomy in a couple of weeks so my earliest hope of a BFP is 4/5th January :)

Hi everyone, slim chance il get pregnant this month, new years eve and new year day I got peaks and this morning it went back to high on my cbfm, we only done it last Saturday , did tell hubbie but he did not want to as we had family staying, such a waste of a month!!!!

Fallen off the drink and cigs wagon dramatically - all will be remedied with new regime starting monday.

hello everyone!

i'm a nervous newbie but thought I should take the plunge and do my first post. am still trying to get used to the acronyms (I've tried to familiarise myself with the list but it's very long - it's like the Army or something), so please bear with me.

i'm 29, TTC#1 and this is our 4th month of trying. I know it can take ages so I'm trying not to be disheartened. I just bought a whole bunch of Clearblue ovulation tests, so here's hoping.

quick question if anyone can help: I use a great app called Clue to track my cycle, which is normally pretty regular at around 26 days. Round about the day I should have started my LMP (the 28th of Dec), I barely had a period at all; there was just some spotting (apologies for being graphic) which lasted 4 days. this has never happened before. Should I be worried that this would affect my chances of TTC this month? or are periods just occasionally extremely light?

sorry if that seems an absurd question. I'd been on the combined Pill for 10 years before I came off it 6 months ago, so am not quite sure what is 'normal' (if there even is such a thing).

Rainy - I would definitely dtd tonight if you can. If you were following the Sperm Meets Egg Plan, it tells you to dtd on the day of ov, and then have a day off before one final dtd session at 2dpo. Good luck

Welcome Kilted. I don't want to get your hopes up too much, but have you taken a hpt? A very light 'period' could in fact be implantation bleeding.

Hi ninja currently doing the same! Tmi. Legs up! Ha. On day 15 of my cycle and got smiles yesterday and today. Dtd cd 10, 12,13,14,15 (today!) so a lot so far and husband is looking for a day off!... I was trying to follow the smep plan so now not sure what to do, a day off would be good and also worried about dtd every day and reducing sorry quality?! I just don't understand how I'm to know exact OV date! Ahhh confusion! Good luck to you!!!! Fingers crossed!!! Sure the January health kick will spur you back on the wagon!!

Cariad hi! Can you shed any light on above re smep? I thought day of LH surge, day after, next day (so 3 in a row) then miss a day and once more? But I feel I've done too many in a row and still got a smile today which would mean again Tomor?!? How are you doing?

Super broody today after seeing a friend who is due DC1 very soon. I miss the funny stomach stretches from the last trimester! I was doing ok getting on with things but must be about 5dpo now and am so desperate for this to work!

Couldn't resist getting a first response to try as I wasn't sure I trusted the cheapies and it's definitely a BFP :D
How on earth am I going to keep this quiet from the kids for another 2 months?? Dd1 is desperate for mummy to be pregnant.

Well I started with positive thoughts for the year hoping this would be our month, it's now cd24 and no sign of ov. Usually ov cd19/20, am wondering if it's because I upped my intake of b vits and epo which ive stopped taking now just in case. Bloody annoying as dh and I have put in loads of effort, both worn out but don't want to givr up just in case ov decides to start. Have ordered soy for next cycle in the hope it brings ov forward and helps lp.

Kiltedsheep - welcome to the bus, this a great place to come and hang out, don't be too alarmed about you af being light, i have been off the pill a year now and was only really last month i noticed it being more like it was before on the pill, its probably your body getting back to normal. also maybe take a test just incase it was implantation bleeding and not normal af, fx for you!!!

I wouldn't worry too much lookslike, I'm not due bfp until 4th feb but I'm still hanging around on this bus for symptom spotting and annoying everyone with opk dilemmas

Cd3 here and according to ovia its 16 days until next fertile window...zzzzzzz

I'm going to occupy myself with throwing myself into a new running regime. On a positive note ovia reckons my LP has increased from 10 days to 14 over the last couple of months, not sure if this is down to the pre conception vits but hopefully its a good sign.

Sparkly - I think you're right. I think it's day of ov, the day after and then a 1 day break before a final dtd session. So far this month we've managed cd 9, 11, 12, 13, 14 and 15 (so not dissimilar from you!) I've had my second peak on my CBFM today and assume I will ov today. Tbh we're a bit exhausted so may skip tomorrow (although strictly speaking it is a key dtd day) and then have a final shot on Sunday. Good luck! I have a really good feeling about this bus and can't wait for a flurry of BFPs before the month is out.

Update!

After I read Cariad's reply above, I was a bit doubtful because I'd taken 2 pregnancy tests on the 29th and they'd both been negative, so I'd been sure it was a just a very light period. But I'd never heard of implantation bleeding so went off to Boots to get another Clearblue.

And guess what? Cariad, Sparkly, Boosk and Rainy - you were absolutely right! I've triple-checked and it was a BFP!

Thank you so much for your advice. I just can't believe it! Here's hoping we all have BFPs very, very soon.
