Just thought I'd get the January bus started! The heaters on, the tunes are turned up and the seats are pretty comfy :)
I know there's a couple of others like myself who won't be POAS until January time so we have a bit of time to get cozy on the bus.
I'm Spam, my hubby is having a reverse vasectomy in a couple of weeks so my earliest hope of a BFP is 4/5th January :)

Cariad and Rainy hi cycle buddies! I'm just using CB smiles. Is the fertility monitor the pricey one?

loopylou1984 · 30/12/2014 17:47

Spam - we've already had one appointment with the fertility clinic but they've told us to try for another 4 months as initial tests show no reason for us not to get pg. after 14 cycles it's hard to believe it could ever happen though. Xx

Boobear1983 · 30/12/2014 17:50

Spam, i tried 7 days of opks last month and all came back neg on the 7 days ovia suggested i should be oving. But then it was a strange cycle. Getting married in a few weeks then going to thailand in feb so after that we'll start testing more often!

ShootTheMoon · 30/12/2014 18:04

Hi everyone, a few days after Ov here - we've been DTD like crazy for the last week and I have just been so tired I had an afternoon nap with cbeebies in the background for DC1 Smile

Still have heartburn and nausea from last month - thinking I may need to see a GP about this as it isn't normal for me. AF will be due around Jan 10th and it feels a long way away! I wish I could kick this virus which has lingered for over 8 weeks now. Very boring.

Marmite27 · 30/12/2014 18:31

So I had a bit of a pink tinge when wiping at about 1pm. Nothing more has come of it though, no heavier flow. My odd right side pain has gone (which is actually on my left and always has been!) and I have some intermittent cramping. My boobs are still sore, and I still feel sick.

I did test, just in case, you know implantation bleeding... BFN. However 5pm urine is not know for its strength, and with noting else to do at work I've sat and drunk tea with another team all afternoon.

I will test with FMU tomorrow, and if negative will have a drink tomorrow night! I thought I'd be sad, but I feel surprisingly ok. I'm staying here for now, as my next AF is due 29th Jan!

spamanderson · 30/12/2014 18:32

Oooh congrats boo! Maybe you'll do like me.... We stopped trying (in Sept 2008) for dd2 after 9 months as we wanted to relax for 2 months for our wedding in November. DTD maybe once in that time and found out I was pregnant 1 week before our wedding! I'd fallen at some point in October :/ Good job I found out though as it was my hen night 3 days before my wedding and I was going to get bladdered! Did mean I couldn't drink the champagne on the day though too :(
sammy It must be bloody tough, it seems so unfair that some can get pregnant at the drop of a hat and others have to work so hard. It will happen for you though, one way or another, it will work, maybe it'll be that you need a bit of help or maybe knowing that in a few months you'll have help, that'll let you relax a bit and fall naturally. Got my fingers and toes crossed for you (but no legs crossed I'm afraid he he)

Really don't know what my body is doing, I'm sure AF is on her way but have been dizzy, woken up with headaches the past 3 days, been extra thirsty, realy hot in bed, felt nauseas for the past 4 evenings, sharp pains and aches in my boobs and TMI but I normally get a bit of brown spotting before AF turns up but yesterday had the tiniest bit of brown, very light pink this morning and a tiny tiny bit of brown again this evening. I'm so scared I'm getting my hopes up for nothing but I normally get the brown spotting (not every cycle) and get hot at night and really thirsty but the other stuff is all a 'bonus' this month :/

Sam ttc#3 CD27 8DPO BFP due 29th Dec-2nd Jan?!

Hi Sparkly, glad to see you back, hopefully you are over the worst of the illness now, i had been using the cb smileys but was given the cbfm machine and this is the first month of using it, i have the old one but think the new one around £80 upwards on amazon, i think the sticks are more expensive to buy but once it gets used to your cycles it does not cost as much as it only uses ten sticks instead of 20 to start with, one of my friends got a bfp of using one so I'm going to have a go

Cariad2014 · 30/12/2014 18:49

Rainy - I think most people's experience of the CBFM is that it's a little bit hit and miss in the first month as it gets used to your cycle, so it sounds as though it might have got a little excited on CD6 and given you a 'high', but presumably won't pick up the next surge and give you a 'peak' until you're about to ovulate. I'd keep going with it if I was you as the more you let it track your cycle this month, the more reliable it will be in future. Although hopefully you'll get upduffed this cycle and won't need to use it again in the near term! Xmas Wink

Rainy34 · 30/12/2014 18:58

Thanks carried, not sure if we will get to try this month, husband has man flu at the moment and have family staying so i think this month will be a miracle which in a way might be good as it may make me calm and if we do get to dtd it may help, but def going to keep going with the machine, changed to pregnacare, taking vitamin b complex and b6 and evening primrose oil to see if it does any good!!!

ShootTheMoon · 30/12/2014 20:05

I have just had a lightbulb moment and have realised it may be the folic acid which is making me feel so nauseated - does anyone else get this? I am going to try taking it in the evening instead!

loopylou1984 · 30/12/2014 20:11

Thanks Spam, I really hope relaxing works for me Smile
Shoot - I'm ok with folic acid on its own, but did find that pregnacare made me feel sick if I took it without food. X

ShootTheMoon · 30/12/2014 20:12

Glad you can take it on its own at least sammy!

ImGoingForATwix · 30/12/2014 21:41

Marmite, I didn't get a BFP until the day AF was due (with first wee of the day!) with dc1 (got a very clear BFN 2 days previous!), that's why I've decided to wait until AF is due this time as ime, early testing and seeing a BFN can get you down. Your symptoms sound very positive though. Fx for a jan BFP, whether it be now or the end of the month.

LoveYouAllTheWorld · 30/12/2014 21:46

I know I won't be able to get on here a great deal, but it's so nice to come back and read the comments and know that I'm not alone in my fears and relentless worry!

You all sound like a fab bunch and looking forward to our journey together. I'm fertile from NYD, stopped taking pregnacare and just on folic acid, like a few of you have said, it made me very nauseous.

Feeling sorry for those whose AF has arrived and those who have suffered
A loss, my heart goes out to you.

Hoping to test on the 20th Jan,even before I've dtd it's seems like such a long wait!

Sparkly123 · 30/12/2014 22:04

Rainy hope your miracle does happen! Once is enough after all..!

Cariad I suppose once you count up all the CB smiles/internet cheapie OPKs etc over the duration of trying then £80 isn't really too steep!! But will stick with the CB for this cycle.. It being my last before I get my BFP of course....Wink bit of new year magic and all that...!!! I'm hoping to get a smile tomorrow on my CB and have already dtd today (CD 12) and CD 10. So fingers crossed!! Hope this flu doesn't affect anything!!!

Loveyouall hi! bestest of luck for dtd!! Not long now. It always feels like the longest two weeks of your life eh, I'm a nightmare the whole time, then the day AF arrives( which WILL NOT be this month!!!) I suddenly relax... Which sounds strange, obviously I'm disappointed each time, but just knowing the outcome is such a relief , then I just look onwards to the next try. Let's hope neither of us have to go through it another time after this bus!!

RedRose82 · 31/12/2014 00:22

Hi ladies. Jumping on board if u don't mind. Stats are:

32yo, ttc#2, cycle 14. AF due mid Jan.

Took 9 months to conceive 1st time around so wasn't expecting it to be any quicker the 2nd time, but hope it happens soon.

tootsroots · 31/12/2014 00:54

Hi all, shuffling sadly on to the bus. Af got me on dpo9 and cd 36. Improved from last months 44 and dpo8.

Still sad though right now as no nips up to af - just got me fast.

Hello to those who I have not met! Waves at those who jumped on from dec bus. Pats those with fertility dogs and cats.

Sits meekly back to lurk.

Stats
Toots, 31, ttc 1, cycle 4, bfp 30th jan

thenailgirl · 31/12/2014 01:06

Hi everyone just wondered...to those who test ovulation...of all the apps your using to track fertility windows which is most accurate? Just wondering as I have 3 apps n even though the data I entered is all the same I'm getting different dates x having to dtd every day . Very tired lolBlush

Maths88 · 31/12/2014 06:15

Hi

Hopping over from December bus. Still in limbo but December is nearly over so thought I'd book a seat.

Took a frer this morning and whilst I thought I saw something dh is convinced that there is nothing there.

Gonna test again in a coupe of days if no AF so we shall see what happens.

The suspense is killing me!

victoria401 · 31/12/2014 07:31

Hi sparkly hope you're feeling well enough for your dtd marathon! We tried smep for a few months but its too hard for us! Don't see the point on starting too early these days now my ov date seems to have settled into a pattern. For a while it was anywhere between day 12 and 18! Now its 15/16 every time. Need to dtd a bit earlier to refresh his fellas tho ;-)

Sammy I know the feeling of being unexplained. They do say that 90+% of ttc couples will fall preg by 2 yearsthough. We have reached 2 years but not tried every single cycle.Chin up and keep ggoing :-)

ShootTheMoon · 31/12/2014 08:32

Welcome on board toots, redrose, and maths. Here's hoping it's your cycle!

loopylou1984 · 31/12/2014 09:29

Hi redrose - I'm cycle 14 too but a couple of weeks ahead of you, af/bfp due 4/5th Jan.

Victoria - the 2 things that worry me most are 1) there could still be a problem as we have only had initial tests so far and if so the next 4 months is just a waste if time or 2) they will never find a problem but we're never able to have a baby. I just can't seem to think about anything else some days. How do you stay positive? Xx

spinningirl10 · 31/12/2014 09:41

Morning Grin

Af arrived for me yesterday so can I be added to the stats list please.

Spinningirl10 ttc#3 cycle 20, bfp due Jan 25th.

Good luck on the New Year bus, let's hope it's a lucky one for us all.

spamanderson · 31/12/2014 09:53

thenailgirl I'm not sure about accuracy but I've found Glow to be the easiest to understand. It's predicted my ovulation correctly so far. I tried fertility friend and my days but they didn't 'feel' right if you know what I mean? I didn't feel like I could trust them if that makes sense!
Hi red toots and maths!
maths could you post a piccy to see if we can see anything? With dd2 DH couldn't see the line but it was there :) I had to get a clear blue fifi to spell it out for him ha ha!
That's interesting marmite. I didn't find out with my 2 until I was 4 weeks and 5 weeks so didn't actially test until I realised my AF was a couple of weeks late :/ I've been testing every day for the last 4 days and BFN every day :( I'm only 9dpo (I'm incredibly impatient!!) and AF was due between the 29th December and 2nd January so maybe ill wait until the 2nd now before I test again. Least it means I can crack open a nice bottle of wine later this evening :)
booooo spinning naughty AF :(

Hi all
Happy new year eve everyone - here's to a bumper year of bfp's SmileSmile

Had a strange af last week it only lasted 3 days, a bit odd but I'm pleased it's buggered off anyway.

Cd7 here and I'm doing the SMEP from tomorrow. I'm feeling positive about this month, DH and I aren't back to work until Mon 5th so we've both had a lovely 2 wk break so I'm hoping all the relaxing will be in our favour and we'll get some good dtd under our belt before the stress of work and everyday life gets in the way again Smile

Have a lovely evening everyone x
