Great minds blueberry!

Our clinic is in s separate little building on the hospital site, no bumps in sight. Just other nervous couples avoiding eye contact! And lots of posters about adoption on the wall.... Hmmmm

Thepurplegiraffe · 02/11/2014 19:12

Funny you should say that Cariad. Our peak day last month happened to fall when my younger brother and girlfriend were staying in the next room. I didn't want to miss the chance so we dtd anyway and now I like to think that was the successful time. It was very awkward though.

Cariad2014 · 02/11/2014 19:23

No - don't leave us Blueberry. Hang out with us on this bus for a while. I know it must be really difficult, but in some ways I think it might help if you consider your first cycle on clomid as cycle 1 (and let's face it, given that chances of conception are only typically 20-25% per cycle even if you're ovulating and time everything perfectly, you have to be super lucky to get upduffed on cycle 1). You WILL get there. MrsE and Kitty both got their BFPs on cycle 2 of soy - so I'm keeping everything crossed that now that you're ov'ing you will get your BFP within the next few cycles.

MrsGingerbread · 02/11/2014 19:25

Thanks everyone. :)

Spinning good luck for tomorrow

blueberry do you get to stay on this bus?

travelling delighted to see you here - welcome my dear!

Right, new tradition starting here. I bought myself a little present to open should af come (only three pairs of accessorize socks - but I got the lady to wrap them up :) It has taken the edge off a bit and now I have some funky new socks to take into next cycle. :)

Cariad2014 · 02/11/2014 19:28

Purple - Glad you managed your BFP with your brother in close proximity! That gives me hope! If DH is struggling to get in the mood when my parents are in close proximity, I'll just have to remind him that if Purple managed it - so can we!

Good point on the softcup front MissMrs - the things we go through whilst ttc!

Agreed on the lack of inhibitions front Wanttobe!

Fruityb · 02/11/2014 19:29

Adding my place. Determined this month!!

sm2012 · 02/11/2014 19:38

Hi everyone,

Space for a newbie?! I'm 35 and dh is 36 and we're ttc dc3. This month will be our 3rd month so early days yet but already getting a bit fed up as we managed to conceive both our two dd's within 3 months of trying but we are older now!

I'm on cd 2 at the moment so waiting a few more days before we dtd and I start doing the opk's! I didn't do these last time and am surprised as I seem to have quite a short luteal phase, not sure if it's got shorter or always has been, hopefully always has been.

This month I've ordered some pre-seed and have got my dh taking mulit-vits and minerals! Fingers crossed everyone

MissMrsMummy · 02/11/2014 19:44

Welcome sm2012 fx you won't have to wait too long for DC3! Would be interesting to know if your LP has always been short as that would mean it's IS possible to get a bfp with a short LP - though I don't suppose you will be able to find out now!

MrsG LOVE your present idea! Already got me thinking about what I can buy myself for next AF (hopefully not needed!)

Frolicacid · 02/11/2014 19:45

Sorry for bfn blueberry. It's good news that you ovulated. My best friend has fallen pregnant 4 times with clomid - always on the 3rd cycle. She reckons the first 2 are warm-up's. Fx you have the same success.

Good luck for your appointment tomorrow spinning.

All this talk of dtd with visitors is making me cringe about some of my teenage antics! Where was my shame?!

I just had a strong looking positive on an opk. It's 5 days earlier than my usual ovulation day, so I think the dog has done something. DH has a rotten cold - god knows how I'm going to get him going tonight Grin

Frolicacid · 02/11/2014 19:48

Oh good god!! The dog has nothing to with my ovulation! That should read the soy Blush
That's the second time I've posted the same mistake. I really should start using preview.

Treaclepie19 · 02/11/2014 19:52

Hi all :) you've been so busy!
I'll have a read back. Trying to be a little more relaxed this month.

spinningirl10 · 02/11/2014 19:53

Haha Frolic, I'm sure you were on the soy thread talking about your dog recently!!! Maybe he does have something to do with earlier ov Grin

Treacle, how was your party?

And frolic, I know you stopped soy a day early but when was your last day? Wondering when I'll get my positive!

Treaclepie19 · 02/11/2014 19:54

It was good thanks :)
The town centre was packed though, horrendous trying to get in clubs :/
Was happy to get home with a cuppa :p

spinningirl10 · 02/11/2014 19:56

Oh god Victoria, really!!! I need to have a tidy up thenBlush thanks for the warning, how long was your first appointment?

Blue500 · 02/11/2014 20:02

Thanks lucieloo for adding me back onto the stats - my full figures are
Blue500, 32, ttc #1, cycle 3, bfp 30th Nov

MrsG love the af present idea, definitely a nice way to make af more bearable!

Good luck for the appointment Spinning

Welcome newbies Smile

Frolicacid · 02/11/2014 20:09

I obviously send DH too many texts reminding him to feed / walk the dog as my autocorrect is very keen on the word! She is totally more of a hindrance than help to conception as her preferred sleeping position is right between us in bed!

spinning, I took it days 5-8 and am now on day 14. I just had some twinges so hope the positive opk is the real deal. My cycles are usually around 33 days and I'd love them to come closer to 28.

spinningirl10 · 02/11/2014 20:09

Thanks Blueberry for the pre warning. I just told dp and he said no please don't tell me anymore, he doesn't really like anything like that......not sure how he'd get through me giving birthBlush probably from behind a cushionGrin
And Blueberry, don't go anywhere, hang around here with us until the December bus gets busier. I know it's shit that you got the bfn but it's fab that the clomid has worked and you've ovulated, you're that bit closer to your bfpGrin

spinningirl10 · 02/11/2014 20:12

Thank you ladies for the well wishes, I shall report back tomorrowGrin

Haha frolic, bet the dogs put out when he gets kicked off for dtdGrin

victoria401 · 02/11/2014 20:15

Lol at frolic! That was hilarious!

spinning I presume you've had all the bloods and Sa's etc and filled out the mountain of paperwork? Our 1st appoint was with a nurse who told us what all our results meant and booked me in for a HSG, and stuck a camera up my foof of course! Our 2nd appoint was with the Dr who told us what treatment we were entitled to. There were 5 weeks between our 2 appointments. We decided to try for 3 more months before treatment, to see if HSG flushed out my tubes. As we are unexplained infertile, both declared normal, we have nothing to lose!

victoria401 · 02/11/2014 20:19

Just read your post, nurse said my dh was welcome to be with me to see my womb on tv but he decided to stay the other side of the curtain and read the posters, wuss!

spinningirl10 · 02/11/2014 20:20

Victoria, I've had nothing done, no bloods or anything! I phoned my gp 4 weeks ago to ask for 21 day bloods and as she knows we've been trying for a while she said she thought it would be best if I went to the fertility clinic. She told me to book for 21 bloods with the nurse at the docs which I did but then I ovulated early, when I tried to change my appointment the receptionist said it wasn't possible so I cancelled my appointment.
Maybe they'll just set up all those tests then? I had a mc a year ago and I do have 2 older children so that gives me hope that I can get pregnant.

Dozygirl · 02/11/2014 20:24

Good luck spinning. Hopefully you'll get some answers soon

Boosk · 02/11/2014 20:28

Thank you want and dozy, I reread the instructions and I might not have waited long enough. The control line is darker after 10mins and there's even a faint positive line. So I'm getting there. CD10 today I think so a few days to go anyway.

Sorry Af arrived blueberry and MrsG, but high 5s on the longer lp MrsG* and fx for round two this month.

Good luck for tomorrow spinning let us know how you get on.

Thanks for the new stats Lucie Thanks
