I've only just started doing opks (cheap internet bought ones) and have found they are positive for a couple of days. As I get nearer ovulation time I do two a day to track when the surge starts.

Those with short luteal phases, do you take B6 and if so how much? I've started taking the Boots own pre-conception vitamins and it has B vitamins in but I don't know if it's enough to have the desired effect.

I feel foolish having said I'm getting fed up already on cycle 3 when some people have been ttc for much much longer, you most definitely deserve your BFPs.

For the list my stats are:

sm2012, 35, ttc#3, cycle 3, BFP due 25th November

Treaclepie19 · 02/11/2014 22:48

Ok we dtd. Glad you kept me on track ladies :p

Hi missmrs, lovely to see you :)

Cariad2014 · 02/11/2014 23:04

Woop woop Treacle. Good work! Have set my alarm early so that we can dtd in the morning.

Treaclepie19 · 02/11/2014 23:05

Oh gosh cariad I couldn't do that.
I am not a morning person!!! :p

Frolicacid · 02/11/2014 23:26

Thanks mrse. We have a running joke most weeks now about calling the baby a silly name related to whatever shit life is throwing at us that week. We are big jokers anyway and really believe in having a laugh about these things.

cariad - that is dedication! We are so not morning people in this house.

Well done treacle. I'm empathising with you tonight about doing it when you can't really be bothered! Looks like we will be 2ww buddies if temp confirms my ovulation tomorrow.

blueberry, I second everything theproof said upthread. Maybe try a different gp? Mindfulness is an excelent way of improving our resilience. There are loads of courses popping up across the country as more and more people get wise to it's benefits. As a mental health practitioner I highly recommend looking into it. Lots of the courses seem to be free as well.

IamEvan · 02/11/2014 23:37

I'm in please!

Terrified to even think it but I had some v light bleeding earlier - possibly consistent with implantation bleeding?!

AF due friday 7th. after so many months of disappointment i'm afraid to hope but can't help it.

will keep u posted ... Please please please let this be my month Hmm

IamEvan · 02/11/2014 23:38

DastardlyDachshund · 02/11/2014 23:51

Hi Blueberry (It's TheGrandHighWitch under nc here), I have been keeping an eye on the November bus and saw your BFN which I am sorry has happened btw. I didn't want to de-lurk on here as I am not quite up to it this month, but felt I could offer some words as a former clomid lady if it helps at all. I was going to pm you but felt that qualified as stalking Blush.

I am not currently on clomid as I am fairly certain I am ovulating most months now but dc1 was conceived on my first cycle of clomid after 18 or so previous cycles of nothing. DC2 was conceived on cycle 4 (3 cycles of lower 50mg dose, 4th cycle dose increased to 100mg on dr's advice). Being put on clomid the second time followed a 6 month wait while we tried without 'to see what happens' eyeroll so 9 months before that elusive BFP in month 10.

Incidentally (and I don't mean to get your hopes up) but my BFP for dc1 was on roughly 15dpo (not charting), and my BFP for dc2 was on 14dpo. Both were faint lines even on a superdrug test so I am one of the ladies who gets her positive later than most. FX this is the same for you in this instance but if not then there is definitely hope for you getting good news soon if clomid works as well for you as it did for me.

I'm sorry my message is rambling and especially so if it is at all unwelcome. I saw you were down today and wanted to offer some support from someone who has been through what you are enduring now.

MaMaPo · 03/11/2014 03:03

Hello all. It seems the November bus is in full swing.

Sorry for your bfn Blueberry.

TWW here and so I am avoiding thinking about anything. Cd5. Yawn - it's so tedious! I might make a game of symptom spotting with DH. I feel dehydrated today - symptom!

Boosk · 03/11/2014 06:53

Well done treacle and frolic on your reluctant dtd. Glad to hear frolicdog is doing better. Thanks

Treaclepie19 · 03/11/2014 07:09

Thanks everyone haha.
4th flashing smiley today. Guess it's gonna be one of those months.

xBlueberry88x · 03/11/2014 07:15

Thank you everyone

purple and frolic all the doctors down here are pretty crap and mostly old fashioned lol I'll be ok when Af arrives and we can start again

Hi dastardly haha I wouldnt have minded you private messaging. I think my symptoms are just the clomid messing with me to be honest but thank you for your story fx next month is the one

spinningirl10 · 03/11/2014 08:03

MorningGrin

Frolic, hope dh was up to dtd.

Cariad, well done on a morning session, we don't often manage it so early!

I woke at 4am, took temp as alarm was set for 6. Then I couldn't get back to sleep, started worrying about not ovulating due to the soy or possibly missing it! Also had another crazy dream involving Kate Garraway!!
I wonder if they do an internal dildo scan today if they'll see if I have ov'd or about to?

nettle86 · 03/11/2014 08:04

Morning ladies. Cd32 and still no sign of AF so pos with a clear blue digital (f*ing rip off!) And BFN :( I've got a doctor's appointment on weds anyway so might mention it to him - not that I've got high hopes purple.

Cariad2014 · 03/11/2014 08:15

Treacle and Frolic - I'm not naturally a morning person either but DH is, and because we both tend to work reasonably late and invariably come home exhausted, we find that mornings are far more reliable for our dtd sessions.

CD11 here and I'm on my third day of flashing smileys. It's very rare for me to have more than 2 so I really hope my monitor gives me a solid smiley soon, otherwise I fear this month may be anovulatory.

We've reluctantly reached the conclusion that unless this cycle turns out to be particularly long, we probably won't try next cycle if this one isn't successful. The main reason being that if I got a BFP I'd be between 5 and 6 weeks over Christmas, and given my increased risk of an ectopic next time (a 17% chance), I really don't want to risk getting inferior care and ending up losing my other tube because hospitals are operating on a skeleton staff over the festive period. The thought of starting the new year without a BFP is really getting me down though. Sad

Cariad2014 · 03/11/2014 08:20

Waves at Spinning. Good luck with the dildo-cam this morning. My only experience of the dildo-cam was when they were diagnosing my ectopic (so slightly different I know), but they did take pictures and measurements of my ovaries to see whether they looked normal, and to check from which side I'd ov'd etc, so I would say that this is almost certainly something they'll look at in your case. Keep us updated.

Dozygirl · 03/11/2014 08:21

sm2012 I started taking b6 last month to try to prevent spotting pre AF and to lengthen luteal phase but it hasn't seemed to have worked so far. Only had 10mg a day. I might increase it next month or not bother at all if its not doing anything.

Thinking of u today spinning.

nettle sorry for the bfn. Hopefully it's just too early to pick up just yet. Fx for u.

Brown Spotting is getting heavier so I'm expecting AF any day. Really wanted to spotting to have stopped this time around as id prefer just to be hit with AF and get on with it rather this lingering.

Cariad2014 · 03/11/2014 08:21

I meant Dildo scan not dildo cam - which sounds even more sinister!

spinningirl10 · 03/11/2014 08:28

Haha Cariad that made me laughGrin
Thanks, now I'm hoping to have it done just so I know if they can see a nice big egg! Got a poking pain in the area of my right ovary this morning but negative opk last night so don't know what that could be.
I can understand you being cautious about the timing for next cycle, fx this is your month.

Dozy, they say it takes 3 months for any new vits/tablets to make a difference. Don't know how true that is, maybe it varies in all of us.

spinningirl10 · 03/11/2014 08:36

Any temping ladies....do your temps vary much? My temps are much higher this cycle than last.

Cariad2014 · 03/11/2014 08:50

Good question Spinning. I'd love to know the answer to that as well. I've all but given up temping this cycle as my horrific cold and sore throat last week meant my pre-ov temperatures were off the scale. Illness aside, I'm sure room temperature must make a difference (last time I got a BFP, my temp dipped by 0.2 of a degree when I stayed at my parents house, which I can only really attribute to their house being colder than mine).

spinningirl10 · 03/11/2014 08:56

I did wonder about room temperature but we haven't had the heating on yet so my room is the same temperature, this is only my second cycle temping so not much to go on.

Aprilray · 03/11/2014 09:12

Spinning, what cycle day are you? I had mine on CD7 and as well as doing measurements the guy counted my follicules, I had more on the left than the right but two on the right were large so it looked like I was getting ready to ovulate from the right. I was willing both eggs to drop!

My pre ov and post ov temps vary by about 0.2 of a degree all the time, I definitely think room temp makes a difference.

Dastardly, good to see you're lurking. Hope you're ok.

Woke up with awful bad pain today, CD27, and mild AF style cramps. Caved and took some paracetamol, it's not so much the pain as the constant reminder that AF is waiting in the wings. Feel like a bit of a lost cause, not even going to waste the fire starters, will save them for the rest of you.

TerrysNo2 · 03/11/2014 09:13

Spinning my temp this month is also higher on average (although it's very jagged). My chart is very similar to my bfp chart with DD... not that I'm reading too much into it! What is your scan for today? Sorry if I missed that!

CD13 here, -ve OPKs so far but we DTD CD11 and 12. The only thing I've done differently this month so far is to hold a hot water bottle over my right side each evening since AF, someones acupuncturist recommended it (can't remember whose??) to increase blood flow so I wanted to see if I could get my right ovary to beat my left one this month Smile

So who is POAS this week?

Aprilray · 03/11/2014 09:22

*Back pain!! though it is bad too.
