This bus is for anyone ttc hoping to get a BFP in December.

I know it's super early, but as I'm currently on a 2 month enforced break from ttc following a ruptured ectopic, December is the next bus I can catch.

Do feel free to come and join me on the journey.

Ma - I'm in the 2ww!
Had peak fertility result Thursday and we dtd several times leading up to and on the day. Sadly dh had to go away on the Friday so it ended there. I'm really hoping we've done it this month, this is cycle 13 for us. I've been terming for the first time but ff has not confirmed ov yet... Problem is, I wake often in the night so I haven't always had 3 solid hours before I take my temp! X

loopylou1984 · 23/11/2014 08:40

Thanks Tessie

I have been doing it roughly the same time, the problem is that I often wake up in the night and sobit is not alwYs after 3 solid hours... Which is better 1) always test at the same time but no 3 solid hours or 2) test after 3 solid hours but could be at different times depending on when I wake up??!

Re sleeping with mouth open; this is possible, I've never asked dh to check! I have a bit of a cold atm so probably do have my mouth open.... Does this really make a difference? Xx

mistywillow17 · 23/11/2014 09:35

Achy achy boobs this morning at (I think) 2dpo. DH didn't understand why that made me happy, so I gave him a lecture on progesterone production, its symptoms and its importance. I don't think he was expecting that Blush

I reckon if I went on Mastermind I would have to choose "the menstrual cycle" as my specialist subject now.

loopylou1984 · 23/11/2014 09:43

Lol misty, that made me smile! I feel like an expert on the subject too now! X

Dozygirl · 23/11/2014 10:17

I'm having prophetic dreams haha. Not that I believe in things like that but as I'm staying in a hotel this weekend I was dreaming about taking my temp (as u do) and I dreamed my temp had risen to 36.5 because the room is hot. Anyway I've just done my temp and it was 36.4! Pretty close to my dreams predictions haha.

Have had many bfps in my dreams though and they've yet to come true. Think I'll have to discard that temp because I'm pretty sure its down to the warmth in this room, it's the highest it's ever been but I'm sure I've not ov'd yet so it might mess with my chart too much.

Dozygirl · 23/11/2014 10:18

*36.47 that should say

toothachereturns · 23/11/2014 10:30

Just checking back in as you'd all dropped off my radar! CD7 here..... booorrrrrrriiiiiing!

Hope you are all doing fabulously well.

TerrysNo3 · 23/11/2014 10:58

toothache snap.. CD7 is boring!! Grin

toothachereturns · 23/11/2014 11:15

Terrys I'm due to ovulate on the 30th Nov.... so my DPO will follow the days of advent!
"On the 1st day of Christmas my true love gave to me......" you can fill in the rest. lolGrin

Frolicacid · 23/11/2014 11:23

Good morning everyone! Cycle day 6 here. Super boring!
I am trying soy again and seem to be having less side effects than last cycle, which is good.
I hope everyone is having a lovely weekend. I'm having a quiet one and taking advantage of the time to read the Toni weschler book. I am also feeling like a menstrual cycle expert!

tessiegirl · 23/11/2014 12:16

Hello all, hope you are all having a nice Sunday!!

I am on CD13 and had another high fertility day on CB ov....I don't get it Confused. Temp has started to rise today after a big dip yesterday so I am not sure if I ovulated yesterday and maybe my surge of LH is too low to be picked up on CB????...oh well, shall wait and see!

Sammy - sleeping with your mouth open can definitely affect temps. It may be worth temping vaginally as that is supposed to be more accurate than temping orally. Although don't switch from orally to vaginally until next cycle as this will mess up your chart this cycle.

Frolic - how are you finding the Toni Weschler book? I am finding it very interesting and helpful

Bovnydazzler · 23/11/2014 12:52

Running to catch this bus after today's AF appearance, hope it's a double decker as it's busy already.

Congratulations mel, good to have a BFP on board before the month starts, I take it as a positive sign!

Stats: 30, TTC#2, month 10, BFP due 21st dec. 1st cycle clomid.

I usually have 48-90+ day cycles (hence lucky to get an early referral to gyno and prescribed clomid). Not sure whether clomid will bring it down to 28 days if it works for me, gyno thought it should do.

Bring on the Xmas BFP cheer!

hc899 · 23/11/2014 13:09

Don't worry Tessiegirl I got high fertility AGAIN this morning - 5th day on the trot! I had a look on the CB website though and it does say that it can happen that you have more than 4 days of high fertility before hitting peak. I'm assuming that I'll have peak fertility Tues or wed (cd 13 today and usually have 32/33 day cycles)

Frolicacid · 23/11/2014 14:35

Hi tessie. I am also finding it really interesting and helpful. Although, some of it is making me panic a bit, especially the calling ladies who are over 35 'advanced geriatric status'! I'm 35 in a few months and don't want to be a geriatric Shock

All the stuff on ewcm is interesting. I'm just off to the shops armed with a whole list of supplements to try and make my fanjo more slippery.

lalalemon · 23/11/2014 15:05

Boarding the bus!
This is our very first time trying to conceive and we're so excited about this new chapter in our lives!

Lalalemon, 28, cycle 1, bfp due 12th December!

Best of luck to everyone, what an amazing Christmas present this would be!

tessiegirl · 23/11/2014 16:47

Welcome bovny - really hope clomid reduces your cycle!

Welcome lalalemon - best of luck to you!

hc899 - so glad it's not just me getting high fertility everyday!! I am hoping I should hit peak tomorrow or Tuesday going by last cycle. I also looked on CB website and saw that you can have a few days of high before getting a peak. Plus I also googled it and there have been some women who have still got pregnant even though they never got a peak and it was down to the fact their LH surge did happen but it wasn't high enough to be picked up on the test... interesting Hmm

Oooh Frolic - what supplements have you bought to help with ewcm??

MaGratgarlik1983 · 23/11/2014 17:20

Pos opk finally! Yay!!

mistywillow17 · 23/11/2014 17:39

Yay MaGrat! Three cheers for a positive OPK! [searches fruitlessly for a pom pom emoticon]

Just back from lunch with friends and their adorable five month old. Lots of lovely dribbly cuddles but now feeling a bit forlorn, so pouring a glass or three of wine to make myself feel better.

Orangeisthenewbanana · 23/11/2014 19:05

Evening ladies! Yay for the positive opk magrat and fx for the clomid bovny

CD12 here (that came round quickly!). Started my opks today and got a darker line than I was expecting - anticipating ov next weekend. Better start dtd early just in case!

Sorry to see more ladies over from the November bus. This will be our month!!

Frolicacid · 23/11/2014 19:09

My cupboard is full of supplements now tessie! I was only taking folic acid and evening primrose oil. But now I have vit c, b-complex, omega 3, co enzyme q10 and probiotics. I also found a cough syrup in wilko's made from guav something, which is apparently the thing for ewcm. I think I may have got carried away! I just don't fancy having the pre conception ones lying around as so many friends and family are in and out of here all the time.

Jyst been for a massive pub dinner and a few pints. I feel a big collapse in front of the tv coming on .......

Dozygirl · 23/11/2014 20:23

Pos opk for me too this evening magrat yey

mistywillow17 · 23/11/2014 20:34

It's just occurred to me that by now I would usually have started my training schedule for the Brighton marathon. I didn't sign up this year as I rather naively assumed I would be preggers in April 2015 and obviously unable to run. I've run every single Brighton marathon since it began (very very slowly), so it's a big thing for me to miss it. Really really hoping for a BFP before April. I have done EVERYTHING I can this cycle, so fingers crossed heads off to shovel down some Manuka honey on the offchance it might help

kissinggiraffe · 23/11/2014 20:39

Hi ladies. hope you've all had a nice relaxing weekend. I've had a reasonably quiet one. Got a bit more Christmas shopping done (yay me!)
I really think I will be too busy this cycle to over think ttc. I've made sure we have lots of Christmas's things planned Smile

CD5. Still got af in full flow. Ugh. I am very Envy of you ladies with short 4 day periods. Mine last forever!

DizzyNorthernBird · 23/11/2014 22:28

misty I'm in a similar ish boat to you, I really want to sign up to do the Reading half again but reluctant to fork out in case I do get up the duff quickly. But on the other hand I need something to train for as I'm struggling to motivate myself to get out of the door on these dark evenings. Not sure if a half is manageable in first trimester?! I'm guessing not! I'll kick myself though if I'm not pg by the spring though and I miss out on my usual training.

Well my symptoms are kicking in for AF which is due later this week. Then once finished we officially start ttc! Eek!

dillydollydarling · 23/11/2014 22:32

Well I'm officially off the November bus. Af arrived this morning! Slightly unexpected as was thinking it would appear at the end of next week. But this will be my first proper cycle since coil removal so excited to see how it will go! Fx fore bfps for everyone!
