Over here all breastfeeding TTCers! Welcome to our thread - a place for us to come for support, information and to talk about the extra challenges of TTC while still breastfeeding.

Seeing as I filled up the old thread I thought I should start the new one!

For anyone who is new to the thread or needs a reminder, here are a few links to some useful websites (thanks Waiting for putting these together). I hope I've worked the links properly.

Loiter on here every now and again. Wow eagle!!! Brilliant! Have you moved to your house yet? Maybe need a bigger one now Smile.

MrsConfusion · 22/10/2014 21:57

Thanks MrsD, trying hard not to obsess (ha ha ha , clearly failing) and focus on dd as don't know what cycles are doing.

So pleasures you're past that difficult milestone, hope the next bits go quickly .

Welcome newbies, this is such a lovely thread Smile.

eaghoul, OMG, twins, what a surprise for you!! Give yourselves time to digest. Do you know anyone to talk to about twins in RL ? I've got friends with twins and they've all done really well so don 't panicWink

MrsConfusion · 22/10/2014 21:58

Congrats on your scan too gunpowder , hopefully you'll keep feeling better & better

peardrop2 · 23/10/2014 06:24

Wow twins!! Congratulations. I know friends with twins and their lives our very happy ones Smile

Eaghoul · 23/10/2014 06:43

Thanks mrsd, mrsc, zoo and pear!

My best friend has twins - she had them when her DS was 13 months so she's a font of knowledge! She BFed the twins for 12 weeks too so I know she'll be a great support. I'd love to BF as much and for as long as possible but I know that with DS as well (he'll be 19mo) it won't be easy.

How are you doing zoo? You must be well into the second trimester now Smile

I hope your mojo is well and truly back now mrsc. I will definitely miss those snuggly before - bed feeds, they are bliss.

Glad you have passed that milestone mrsd. Onwards and upwards from here.

Feel like I'm hijacking the TTC thread with baby talk so I will bow out and lurk for a while! Good luck to all TTCers and I'm sure I'll see the rest of you ladies on antenatal threads. Halloween Grin

junebaby not sure if you're still reading but hope you're doing ok xx

hideandsqueak · 23/10/2014 19:10

I am due my 2nd AF today assuming my cycle is 28 days like it was before I had DS. It hasn't arrived and I have really bad nausea which is worse when breastfeeding. I used to get bad nausea when I had letdown in the beginning but not for ages since. But still BFN. Could the nausea be a AF symptom? I'm assuming if I was pregnant and nausea was a symptom then it would show up on a HPT. Sorry for the questions am new to TTC!

bettsiom · 24/10/2014 12:19

Hello! I will join this merry band of bf baby makers.

DS is 26 months (!) and has a small feed before bed. Not sure there is much left tbh. We started trying a few months ago, but as DH is adamant we're only allowed 2 kids, we were timing things so to increase the chance of conceiving a girl, and so I think we have missed the target date a few times! It is quite stressful actively trying and wondering about BF and fertility, so I have decided to chill out a bit now.

also I'm minded to get past a potential August due date. Not that I am controlling or anything Grin . Am trying to be less so! Would be grateful for a little one anytime as so many friends now have their second bundle of joy!

Good luck everyone! Xx

peardrop2 · 24/10/2014 22:01

Hello Bet Smile I've also hit the pause button to avoid an August baby. November is going to be a looooonnnng month Wink

peardrop2 · 24/10/2014 22:02

The funny thing is if baby arrives early we will end up with an August baby anyway Blush My DS arrived on his due date. Was your DC on time?

ToesAndFingers · 24/10/2014 22:06

What's so bad about having August baby?

peardrop2 · 24/10/2014 22:20

Toes ~ nothing bad. I would just prefer to send dc2 to school when they've just turned 5 rather then just turned 4. Just a personal preference.

bettsiom · 25/10/2014 20:24

Hello peardrop no he was a little early (born 27th Aug, due 5th Sept) and I also feel more comfortable with a school start date closer to 5, just a personal view.

So yes you are right it could be that we are free from the pressure / on hold for Nov AND Dec!

Enjoy Wine !

bettsiom · 25/10/2014 20:30

Hi toes nothing bad at all, it was actually lovely being in full bloom over summer ( if a little hot!) and a lovely autumn with a new born, just a school year start policy that I just feel weird about. I think I am in the minority on this though! X

peardrop2 · 25/10/2014 20:59

Bett ~ wouldn't it be fantastic if the gov went back to doing 2 school year starts in the year! I will never understand why a child born before September can't just start half way in the school year. Parents who had that choice probably gave conception dates no thought or worry!

bettsiom · 25/10/2014 21:29

pear yes you are right! Maybe it will happen. It's a mad thing to have to have as a (conception) concern really!

MrsConfusion · 27/10/2014 22:26

Tonight I am eating lots of chocolate. Like, whole huge bar of dairy milk. Such a pig. Not sure even I can stretch that into a pregnancy symptom! X

ToesAndFingers · 28/10/2014 18:47

AF has finally buggered off yesterday. However, my cold is back, do no baby making last night Confused

Maybe tonight...

peardrop2 · 28/10/2014 20:24

Toes, surely you don't want to start to quickly post AF?

ToesAndFingers · 30/10/2014 12:20

I do actually. I tend to have sorter (25-27d) cycles. Sometimes they are even shorter than that. Going over 28 days is very unusual, and only happened a handful of times in my life (last cycle being one of them!).

So it is very possible that I can ovulate quite close to AF. I'd rather cover all bases!

junebaby2011 · 30/10/2014 19:05

Hi everyone-still reading mrsd but as I haven't posted for a while I lost the thread!

Happy to that I had an early scan last week at 7w+4 and everything was exactly the right size and we saw a heartbeat-it was very emotional. The recurrent miscarriage clinic are going to scan me every two weeks until my 12 week scan. Only thing is the hospital found unspecified bacteria in my urine from my booking appointment so hoping that doesn't turn into a uti.

How long have you got left until your scan mrsd?

peardrop2 · 30/10/2014 21:23

Toes ~ I have early ovulation Envy That must be great to be able to get back into things fairly quickly after the misery that AF brings! I have such a long wait with my stupidly long cycles! I'm currently on Cd12 but not close to ovulating until next week!

mrsdiddlydoo · 30/10/2014 21:24

June! So pleased about your scan and that they are keeping a close eye on you. I've still 13 days till my scan. I'll be 13 weeks to the day by my dates. Hopefully 13 will be lucky for me. Feeling too OK for my liking. Daft eh! It must have been amazing seeing your little bean. I'll be back to report how it goes. Smile

Hope everyone else is OK?

Well seems I spoke to bloody soon. Looks like this one's not right either. All my symptoms have gone and I've been bleeding since Saturday. Never seen my dh look so sad Sad waiting for epu to open. Wish we had one that opened at weekends. Def something to consider if we ever move house! In my experience they'll be too busy to scan for days. Yay. Not. Thank you everyone for the support I've had on here for the last year. Def don't belong here anymore.
Keeping my fingers crossed you all get bfp soon. Xx
