Over here all breastfeeding TTCers! Welcome to our thread - a place for us to come for support, information and to talk about the extra challenges of TTC while still breastfeeding.

Seeing as I filled up the old thread I thought I should start the new one!

For anyone who is new to the thread or needs a reminder, here are a few links to some useful websites (thanks Waiting for putting these together). I hope I've worked the links properly.

Toes?????

MrsConfusion · 20/10/2014 21:53

I'm still here just lurking as work's been busy & trying to get mojo back after mc. On 2ww, prob due AF at weekend but not sure if cycles back to normal yet. Making myself wait to test, but just don't feel pg so have downloaded fertility friend app, getting head around cm (ugh!) and taking some control back. Positivity!

DD feeds either morning or evening or both - just turned 2 but still asks for it and it 's such a lovely nighttime snuggly time. So lucky to still have that.

So glad you're OK eagle & mrsD

Hugs to all x

ToesAndFingers · 21/10/2014 08:49

I was wondering where you were MrsC. Positivity is the way forward!

So AF arrived just after I POASed. Can it be more annoying?

peardrop2 · 21/10/2014 14:55

Toes ~ Hmm That is so so so annoying! When you were pregnant with dc1 did you wake up feeling pregnant? I did so I don't even know why I put myself through the poas torture.

ToesAndFingers · 21/10/2014 18:48

I didn't wake up feeling pg last time. I just started cramping quite strongly before my period was due. I first thought I'm having my period early but then next day when still no AF and some stabbing pains in my cervix I knew I was pg. I could have ringed my GP without POASing I was so sure.

I wasn't so sure this time. I guess my new rule is just wait as long as possible if not sue. But then I didn't expect a 29 day cycle after a 21 day one!

peardrop2 · 21/10/2014 19:28

Toes ~ Yes, I had that cramping too! That's what woke me up. It's tricky when cycles change. Are you using any monitoring devices like smiley sticks of a cbfm? I've just started using my cbfm again!

peardrop2 · 21/10/2014 19:29

Eaghoul · 21/10/2014 19:42

Aw sorry for the BFN, toes.

But maybe a longer cycle means a longer luteal phase and things getting a bit back to normal.

(Oh it's eagle by the way, I just name changed for Halloween - I am 34 I swear!)

ToesAndFingers · 21/10/2014 23:04

No, not going to use anything. Ultimately you just need to have lots of sex, so we'll just do that. I don't want to get too obsessed with TTC, although it's hard. I'm trying to find positive points about not being pg yet. Mulled wine tonight was one of them Wink

I also need to lose some weight, so I'll be focusing on that.

Good luck with your scan tomorrow Eagle!

peardrop2 · 22/10/2014 02:31

Toes you're right not to obsess. I'm not great at that part at all as I feel the need to control and get a bit annoyed when things don't go to plan Blush

Eaghoul · 22/10/2014 16:54

Thanks so much toes.

We're in a bit of shock here because the scan showed that we are having twins Halloween Grin

No wonder I've been feeling so rough.

Hope you get your scan dates v soon mrsd. There's nothing like seeing the wriggly bean (s).

Off to try to absorb it all now.

ToesAndFingers · 22/10/2014 18:55

Omg Eagle congrats!!!
Wow, I imagine there's quite a bit of absorbing to do!

Do you have any twins in your family?

Tonicandgin · 22/10/2014 19:00

I didn't realise there was such a thread! Can I join?

I'm just starting ttc, and still feeding a 1yr old. What are my chances?

..Going back to read rest of thread...

Tonicandgin · 22/10/2014 19:01

A ha! Loads of info at the beginning

Gunpowder · 22/10/2014 19:04

OMG! eaghoul! (loving the Halloween name change btw) just came on to ask after your scan and saw your update. How exciting!!! Double congratulations to you. Are there twins in the family? I had my 12 week scan yesterday and there was still just one there. Still couldn't quite believe it though as my symptoms have been so mild in comparison to my pregnancy with DD.

Hope other upduffed ones are doing well. How are you Anything, June and MrsDiddly?

Toes how frustrating, glad you are making the most of the mulled wine though, and hope next cycle is the one for you.

Good luck pear and everyone else on the 2ww. Smile

Gunpowder · 22/10/2014 19:05

I am AndIFeedEm btw, just got fed up typing whole thing out. Smile

Gunpowder · 22/10/2014 19:09

mrsConfusion FX for you too! DD is 2 too and we also love the peaceful morning feed. It's the only time she stays vaguely still and quiet apart from when she's asleep!

Gunpowder · 22/10/2014 19:11

Oh, and welcome tonic Smile

hideandsqueak · 22/10/2014 19:23

Hello everyone. My AF is due tomorrow but have tested yesterday and today with Internet cheapie but BFN. Have had brown spotting twice on wiping so guess that could be the start of AF... Problem is it's been so long since I had periods regularly I can't remember what they were like!

Eaghoul · 22/10/2014 19:24

Thanks gunpowder and toes!!!

No twins in either family so it's a real shock! There are two sacs and two placentas which is generally a less riskier twin pregnancy so that's good.

Glad to hear it about your scan too gunpowder. It's so reassuring when you see what's going on in there Smile

Welcome, tonic. My DS was 10.5 mo when these little ones were conceived so it's entirely possible! He never had a bottle or a soother so there was lots of comfort sucking going on too! Fx for you!

Gunpowder · 22/10/2014 19:38

Just remembered Eaghoul, it really was a super-egg! (Eggs?!)

Grin
Eaghoul · 22/10/2014 19:43

Haha gunpowder, it really was!

Apparently they can't tell at this stage if it was one egg or two eggs. They will test the placentas after birth and they will be able to know more then.

mrsdiddlydoo · 22/10/2014 20:26

Omg! Eaghoul!!!!! Twins!!!! That's awesome in my book. My dh would love twins. That must feel a bit mad right now. GrinHalloween Grin least you've a while to let it sink in.

Hello tonic! You're in the right place. It can and does happen. Plenty of proof round here. Smile

Sorry to hear of AF showing up Toes. Hope you are enjoying some Wine and Cake and stinky cheese.

mrsdiddlydoo · 22/10/2014 20:35

Good to hear from you mrsC. Hope you're not keeping yourself too busy and have some time to chill and just be. Hilarious to suggest it really. Life with a little one ... And time to chill?! What's that then! Wink you're not out until AF turns up. Stay hopeful. Otherwise treat yourself to some yummy treats at the weekend. Keeping my fingers crossed for you xx Smile

Well I'm having on in here. Symptoms are slowly passing. Today's a big day for me having officially passed anniversaries from last time round. Trying to stay hopeful. God its hard. Can't wait to get this bean scanned to make it real.

Hope everyone's having a good week. Halloween Grin
