Ladies, Fred title says it all; we are the ones who shag as much as our men can cope with in order to get upduffed without the stress of scientific whatnots!

Fred rules (copied and adapted from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others.

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit). Or PIATLH (Tea light holder) PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in!

JIAC = Jizz in a Cup. Preferable to jizz on the carpet. This one's for the lucky men in our lives.

Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession.

Contraband = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

TWOT - Two Weeks of Torture!

TWPU - Two Week Piss Up!

Sad news here. All the blood in the world fell out of me yesterday. I POAS again today and I'm back to BFN. So it means I've had two non-stick beans in two months Sad

I'm much more gutted about this one than the last one. I was weirdly positive about the last one because it at least showed I have eggs and DH has sperm and they're getting together. I'm now worried that there's some underlying cause of mmc and that it'll keep happening. Fingers crossed it's just bad luck and all will be well in the future. I popped into the opticians and the receptionist said it was about time I had baby two. I could have punched her in the face (but instead I did that ridiculously polite English thing of smiling wearily, nodding and saying "we'll see").

A friend suggested I look into reflexology and acupuncture. Do any of you have any experience of this for fertility-related things?

I'm going to have a week of feeling sorry for myself and have lots of Wine at a party tomorrow night and then will get the cape back on in a week.

calli the pic of your cake has cheered me up.

honey I'm a chemistry teacher too!

TinkerBlue · 19/09/2014 14:41

wiggly that's goddam awful bad luck, I'm so so sorry Flowers
I'll be watching with interest re the therapies as I like the idea of both too! I hope you have a restful weekend thinking of you xxx

WigglyBraddins · 19/09/2014 14:46

Thanks Tink. Both DH and DS are away this weekend so hopefully I can find some Lovejoy to watch to make me feel better Smile

jellypi3 · 19/09/2014 14:50

oh no hugs wiggly :( hope you're ok!

glidingpig · 19/09/2014 14:53

Oh no wiggly, I'm really sorry. :(

rm00054 · 19/09/2014 16:17

Oh Wiggly terrible news Sad hope you're doing ok.

Turns out I got my dates wrong (again), AF is actually due tomorrow/Sunday! I've got no symptoms to need a hooya for though except a complete lack of my usual pre-AF spots and moodiness
Prob gonna POAS (IC) tomorrow morning, but am expecting bfn (I'll only be 12dpo). I'll keep you all in the loop.

honeysucklejasmine · 19/09/2014 16:23

Wiggly I'm so sorry to hear that. What rubbish! Do you have a shoulder to cry on available? Flowers How are you feeling about it? Will you go to the drs do you think?

lildottie · 19/09/2014 16:27

Thanks wiggly, thinking of you. are you taking folic acid. I knew someone who had lots of late mcs and turned out she was deficient. once they sorted that she had a lovely baby boy.

I thought mmc was when they find out at scan baby has died but no bleed and before that was mc? I have no experience of these things so feel free to tell me to shut up.

and I'd like to clear something up that bugs me. frer is first response early RESULT. that is all!Grin

Melodygrace · 19/09/2014 17:05

Oh wiggly iv teared up reading that. I'm so sorry Sad.
If I ever come off this dam period I will attempt to conceive. 7 days now!

WigglyBraddins · 19/09/2014 17:41

honey I do have RL shoulder to cry on. DH needed a talking to last night about what I need from him but took it on board by adding "do things to make Wiggly less stressed" to his to do list & arriving home tonight with flowers, bacon, baguette and brown sauce for me.

I'm feeling tearful & worried at the mo but I'm sure I'll bounce back. Also determined to make an effort to de-stress.

lildottie I was taking folic acid but maybe not enough. And mmc was my bad, I thought it stood for "my miscarriage"...argh, sorry for the acronym confusion.

RPopz · 19/09/2014 17:53

So sorry to hear Wiggly Twice is very bad luck but hopefully not an indication of a problem xxx Thanks Thanks Thanks

honeysucklejasmine · 19/09/2014 18:16

Its such a vicious cycle isn't it. You have a mc, get stressed then have another because you are stressed. Sad What a good idea- bacon sarnie! And win for the brown sauce!

Try not to worry too much, although i know i would not be following that advice myself!

How much bacon can one eat in a week do you think? Wink

Leela5 · 19/09/2014 18:54

:( wiggly I'm so sorry Flowers and rotten timing if receptionist comment too.

Before I got my bfp I was booked in for reflexology. I have read if focused towards fertility it's thought to be very effective - not in least because it relaxes you. My reflexologist explained it all over phone. Had to cancel appointment so never had it.

That and acupuncture are meant to be well thought of. Sending you a hug

Fx for testing tomorrow morning rm

gliding I had terrible cold when I conceived. Couldn't breathe at all and just lay and let him do everything!

I'm sorry melody 7 days sucks, I had AF for 7 weeks once! hope she fecks off soon.

wiggly try not to worry. it may just be bad luck. and if it isn't you'll get gp involved and figure it out but one way or another you will get there. stay positive my lovely.

as for acronyms I'm a bit ocd and must understand and know them all exactly. still haven't figured out pfb in aibu yet tho....anyone?

RPopz · 19/09/2014 22:00

precious first born/ baby?

honeysucklejasmine · 19/09/2014 22:17

Precious First Born for sure. list here

lildottie · 19/09/2014 23:04

would never have guessed that one in the context it was used!

honeysucklejasmine · 19/09/2014 23:23

Chat I entered a competition yesterday where you had to answer a French question in English. Excusing my spelling, it was he habitite vous? Or something... Where do you like. I almost answered with my hometown rather than current town as it was so drummed in to me at school.

lildottie · 19/09/2014 23:52

ou habite tu? j'habite a .... en anglaterre. I miss GCSE french....a level got too hard!

honeysucklejasmine · 19/09/2014 23:53

That's the one. I did German gcse

wilmabedrock · 20/09/2014 00:38

So sorry to hear that wiggly. The docs might investigate after 2 mc in a row, if you wanted them to?

rm00054 · 20/09/2014 12:06

BFN on ic this morning. I didn't really have much hope cos it's still early, but still disappointing to see a negative :( I wish I could be patient and wait to POAS until AF is late!

In other news (tmi alert), I had really yellow cm yesterday, what on earth does that mean?!

mountaingirl01 · 20/09/2014 13:26

Wiggly, I'm so sorry :( if it helps-- after I had my second mc I went for genetic testing (my mil had 4) and nothing was found, sometimes I think its just horrible luck. In the days before early tests we would never have known about about early mc so I think they are probably a lot more common than expected - although I know that doesn't help at all right now. Take encouragement from the fact that your body is working in that it is able to tell when a pregnancy hasn't gone right, and when it does (and it will) you will have a safe pregnancy and healthy baby. Enjoy some wine and your bacon and look after yourself xx

mountaingirl01 · 20/09/2014 13:54

PS need a good old hooyah please

TinkerBlue · 20/09/2014 15:02

Hi all, mountain what's the hooyah for? Am happy to oblige Smile.
rm I think very off colour cm can mean infection if you have other symptoms. (Tmi alert) I had very yellow nasal mucus earlier this year after a cold and it took a while for me to venture to the gp but it turned out I had quite a nasty respiratory infection! Ick to say the least! Don't want to scaremonger though as everyone's body is unique and whilst very yellow cm would be very unusual for me I can quite often get it very brown and watery which I know is completely disgusting but perfectly normal for me!!
Was quite restrained last night and stopped after 3 small glasses of vino! Still feel like crap today though Sad

Ah well, at least it's Saturday and almost cold enough to light the fire!Smile
