Happy Birthday Cupcake. Hope you have had a nice day. How old are you , if you don't mind answering the question? Flowers Cake Wine

Cupcake92 · 15/09/2014 21:42

Me I hope it's a good sign for u rather than a AF sign! Keeping my fx for u :)

Thank u 22, n yes I got my card lol!! Annnnnnnnnnnd he's booked a table at Pieres next week for our anniversary!! As it's our anniversary today as well!! He remembered! I didn't think he would!

Thanks lulu , it's been an okay day had a nice takeaway with my mom n DH :) I'm now 22 lulu lol!!

Cupcake92 · 15/09/2014 21:44

I meant thank u 21!!

Lol!! Got 22 on the brain!

LuluJakey1 · 15/09/2014 22:37

22! You lucky thing- oh if I could be 22 again!

I would travel for a few years and not settle down into a career: Australia, New Zealand and USA.

I would never get into a relationship with men who carry baggage and are divorced- wasted time on two of those bastards.

Would have stayed in London longer than a year as well!

But I wouldn't swop where I am right now- tucked up in bed with DH; despite the fact he has just said to me ' Lu, I know absolutely nothing about being a dad...... What if I fuck up?'

Grin
LuluJakey1 · 16/09/2014 07:30

Cupcake I have just read that again this morning- your DH has booked a table at a French restaurant for your anniversary! I honestly think it sounds like he is really starting to 'get it'. He has done some very supportive thoughtful things recently and here's another to add to the list.

Are you still 'training him up' and praising him for all the good things? If you are it is definitely working. Smile

Me624 · 16/09/2014 08:00

Lulu I bet every first time parent feels like your DH!

No sign of AF for me yet and I still have a bit of cramping this morning and am v bloated but not getting my hopes up - think it's more likely to be digestive system related!

Cupcake that's good news about your DH and your anniversary Grin

Cupcake92 · 16/09/2014 08:31

Bless lulu! I couldn't travel or do those things, I probably will when I'm older and the kids have moved out :) atm it's just not my thing, I never ever go out clubbing and never have done really. I'm young woman trapped in an elderly woman's body. Much prefer a cup of tea and a biscuit! Haha!
And lulu, all first time dads all think they might screw up. But as soon as baby is here instinct takes over and they know exactly what to do :) just like us mothers.
Oh and yes I am training DH up good!! I treated him to some beers the other day as a thank u for being so supportive. He was very happy :)

Me, still keeping my fingers crossed for u :) I hope u do get ur bfp !

lillamyy1 · 16/09/2014 10:21

Morning everyone!
Cupcake, happy bday for yesterday - so glad that DH has been so lovely to you Thanks
Fx for everyone who's waiting for AF - hope she stays away!
Siarie, I'm so sorry how sick you feel - I totally sympathise and I really hope it goes away soon.
Those of you who are worried about what's going in in your tummies, I've been feeling exactly the same but I'm sure everything will be ok Thanks I've got my 12 week scan on the 1st of October. Can't wait to see if everything's ok, and hope it will cheer me up and make me feel more positive about everything.
Ducky, you said you got a video of your baby, how can you do that?

Me624 · 16/09/2014 15:37

It must be hard for you ladies waiting for your scans. I think if I get my bfp I'll probably see if I can schedule additional private scans - does anyone know roughly how much they are?

No AF for me yet though I keep going to the loo to check! Not really surprising as I am not expecting her until tomorrow at the earliest ... but can't stop wondering if the cramps yesterday meant anything!

Ducky23 · 16/09/2014 17:18

Cupcake so glad your DH is behaving!!

Me, I had AF cramps but she never came Grin

Lil, it's just a recording on my phone, I can see him moving from the outside now you see Smile

Ducky23 · 16/09/2014 17:19

Me, my private scan was £60 but was really good, got loads of pics and things Wink

I have my next growth scan on Tuesday! They're every 2 weeks now.

Bearsinmotion · 16/09/2014 17:59

I feel a bit better, went to see the midwife and there was a very clear heartbeat :) Next stop - 20 week scan!

Hope everyone else is doing ok today! Wow Ducky, I could only see DD kicking when she was nearly ready to arrive! Glad you're having regular scans now!

Ducky23 · 16/09/2014 18:03

That is wicked bears! Are you finding out the sex? Grin

Bearsinmotion · 16/09/2014 19:03

Oh yes, definitely! I like thinking about him or her rather than it, and if it's a boy then I've got a lot of shopping to do!

Ducky23 · 16/09/2014 19:13

Haha wonder if wel see a trend on here! Lulu and me are both brewing boys! (Hopefully Blush)

Cupcake92 · 16/09/2014 19:18

Well DH was behaving. I was cooking dinner and DH was supposed to be looking after DS.
I heard DS crying so came to look and he was SAT IN THE CAT LITER!! And he was chucking it all over the floor!! So much for looking after him Ffs! He just sits on his bloody phone constantly! It's the most important thing atm to him! So much he doesn't keep an eye on his son! AngryAngry grrrrr!

Ducky23 · 16/09/2014 19:22

Oh no cupcake Hmm he's a shit!!!

Cupcake92 · 16/09/2014 20:01

Hahaaaa! Ducky that made me laugh Grin

LuluJakey1 · 16/09/2014 21:31

Cupcake. Don't give up. It is just a blip.

Explain to him how you were relying on him for help and that he has been so great recently, you had simply trusted he was looking after DS and how disappointed you are but you know he didn't mean to get it wrong. Look disappointed Wink

Then say you are exhausted and need to rest. He will probably feel very guilty. Ask if he will make you a cup of tea and make a nice fuss of him if he does.

This kind of primary school manipulation works very effectively with my DH.
He will do almost anything if I am quietly 'very disappointed' or 'feel let down' followed by a bit of praise when he trys to please.

He knows exactly what I do but still falls for it. I think it is a kind of conditioning with them, they just remember being 5 and respond in the same way.

It is incredibly effective with teenage boys who misbehave, I find. Much more effective than shouting or being cross with them.

Cupcake92 · 16/09/2014 22:05

I tried lulu, best I got was "shall I go an get u ur doughnut?"
I did say "yes that'd be very nice thank you"
Haha :p

LuluJakey1 · 16/09/2014 23:11

But he is trying to please. Keep using the technique. I think my DH is almost trained up now completely. Grin

Tonight, I was in despair at the mess at his side of the bed. I was upstairs and he came up to get changed.

I said, 'I'm not nagging you but honestly DH, look at this mess. I could really do without this stuff piling up. You know how hard I am starting to find everything and it is so disappointing when you don't just help with these little things.......I know you don't mean to make things harder but I am so tired'.

DH ' Sorry love, I am just a messy bugger. I'll sort it out now. Have a lie down for half an hour and when you open your eyes it'll all put away' .

Me ' Thanks DH.' smiles appreciatively

Me624 · 17/09/2014 06:37

On no cupcake! Poor ds sitting in the cat litter!

Well it seems that a reliably good way to make AF come for me is to post on here saying there's no sign of her. This is the second month in a row that she's come not long after I've done that!

Disappointing but at least it means she'll be almost gone by the time i go on holiday on Saturday, and next month I'm going to start opks!

Ducky23 · 17/09/2014 06:39

Sorry about AF me, hope it's your month next month x

21questions · 17/09/2014 07:05

Sorry af got you meSad
